Super Lap Qualifying
Qualifying will be held through live online sessions.
Procedure
- A group of drivers per class will be given 2 flying laps to set a qualifying lap. The race will be set to 4 laps, 1 outlap, 2 flying laps, and 1 "cool down" (If more than 1 driver are qualifying, we need the 4th lap to not put any stress on the last driver in the pack since he tecnically could be more than 180 seconds behind the first car, depending on how many cars are at the session at the same time).
- Laps will be run in 'Race' and will depend on track size. (Standard=2 laps)
- Laps will be monitored and watched by fellow competitors to validate cleanliness.
- The number of cars will depend on track size.
- Once the race has been commenced, cars will roll on their warm up lap.
- Cars must stagger a number seconds between each other to make room (about 20-30 seconds)
- Standard '2 wheel on track at all times' rule apply (Check Post 3 for Racing Conduct 'Ch.IV Track Contact')
- Once finished, spectators will declare if their competitor ran a clean or dirty lap
- If a protest arise for a doubtful or dirty lap, the replay will be saved and checked.
- If confirmed dirty, a timed penalty will be imposed depending on severity of offense. (Standard 5 seconds)
- The process will repeat until we reach the limit of available drivers
NOTE: Any ballast forced upon you as a success penalty will not be used during the quali sessions. All quali-sessions will be with stock*
cars.
*stock = A car that are moded/tuned by the WSGTC's diagram are concidered stock. Do not mix up the word "stock", as a completeley stock car from the dealership.
Rules regarding qualy-procedure:
- If a driver runs into ANY trouble during an official qualy-session, the session can under no circumstance restart. Unless:
If someting happens during the outlap, and you're the only car on track, the session can restart as long as the timer for the firts flying lap has not started.
- If a driver does not complete the 4th lap, and the replay file is corrupt, he runs the risk of not getting an official time, EVEN if the
lap was watched and verified clean by a spectator. (It's VERY important that you end the 4th lap)
- If a driver disconnects during a session, he may reconnect and drive up to that point where he got DC'd. If the DC occurs while on the 1st (2nd lap) qualy-lap, he may restart and this time ONLY his 2nd (3rd lap) qualy-lap will be valid. The lap where the driver got DC'd counts as "dirty" with no registered lap-time.
- If the car that DC's has any form of damage, but still are able to reconnect and restart his session, that drivers must damage his own car to the same grade of damage that the car had just before he got DC'd.
- If a qualy-lap is "dirty", there are 2 possibilities.
a. If a lap-time beyond any doubt was slower due to an "off track/dirty" situation, no penalty is given and the lap-time stays.
b. If a lap-time could have gained any time what so ever due to an "off track/dirty" situation, a penalty of 5 seconds will be added to the lap-time.
Qualifying Deadline: Friday 02.00 am CET / 01.00 am GMT and Thursday 20.00 pm EST / 17.00 PM (PST). The deadlines are Fridays (GMT/CET) and Thursdays (PST/EST) same week as race is held. Around 20 hours prior the race to give organizers
time to sort the grid, view replays find hosts e.t.c. Under no circumstance can a Qualifying lap be run after the deadline has passed.
Any of the Stewards or Capable Hosts, under the supervision of a Steward/Capable Host, can announce and hold qualifying sessions of their own.
No qualifying sessions can be conducted after Thursday (Friday, depending on time zone). Qualifying will be on hard Racing Tyres.
Setting Grid Positions on Race Day
We will set the grid by running a formation/parade lap. After the race countdown reaches zero, you must Hold your positions!
DO NOT MOVE ONE INCH!. Remember your
spot from the qualifying results; as well as the person in-front of you and behind you.
Same class:
Cars move from the grid
ONE by ONE. The Pole car drives up and parks about 100 m (300 ft) a head. (
WHILE DOING SO, THE OTHER CARS DO NOT MOVE ONE INCH). When he pass the start-line, the next driver can move up, and so on. When all cars are in the correct position and are
NOT moving, the pole car starts the formation lap.
Mixed class
GT300's will sort their grid positions first. While GT300's sort their grid, GT500's
DO NOT MOVE.
GT300 cars move from the grid
ONE by ONE. The Pole car drives up and parks about 100 m (300 ft) a head. (
WHILE DOING SO, THE OTHER CARS DO NOT MOVE ONE INCH). When he pass the start-line, the next driver can move up, and so on. When all cars are in the correct position and are
NOT moving, the pole car starts the firs of two formation laps. When the first lap is comleted, make sure to pass the parked GT500 pack with caution.
From here on, GT300's lead the formation lap, with GT500's about 60 seconds behind.
We use this procedure to make sure all cars got a decent chance at completing the race before the timer (max 180 sec) runs out. By doing like this, we also get final times for (hopefully) all cars. And penalties will be much easier to hand out.
With this in mind, follow the steps below:
- First, you must remember your Grid Spot (Super Lap Qualifying)
- Hold your positions when countdown reaches zero.
- Cars will make their way ONE BY ONE upfront and roll as a separate pack.
- Cars must roll in a maintained pace of 55 mph / 90 kmh
- Field will roll double file (Single file for the Nurburgring 24h race)
- Odd numbers will start on the inside lane relative to turn 1.
- Even numbers will stay on the outside lane (Opposite side)
- The Pole sitter will decide the Green Flag before the Finish line
- You must maintain a minimum of One car length between you and the car in-front (same lane)
- One car length is minimum, meaning it's up to you how large the gap will be
- You must always maintain visual contact with the car beside you
- You're bumper must not go pass the rear bumper of the car beside you, doing so can be viewed as a false start and a penalty can come as a result.
- You must wait for the car beside you to accelarate before you do!
- No passing before the start finish line! Penalties will be strictly enforced for false starts, illegal passing, and overall aggressive driving!
IMPORTANT: In case of a disonnect during the formationlap, the cars behind have to maintain their position, and can
NOT move up the grid. Doing so can result in a penalty for breach of "jump start".

Mixed Class: There will be 2 races held which will be split into two rooms. Each race/grid
will consist of Seven GT500 cars and seven GT300 cars. The top seven qualifiers for each class will end up Division 1, while the bottom seven will go to Division 2.
Same Class: GT500 and GT300 cars will battle their own kind. There will be only one room per class.
Top 14 qualifying times will make this single-room event.
Hosts: Announced 20 hours prior to the race.

90-99: 9p
100: 10p
Race Percentage Completion
Drivers must complete atleast 85% of the overall race lenght or he/she
will not earn a single championship point (bonus points is kept).
Points classification will move up accordingly. This means any D2 driver can
earn as much as finishing second overall.
How to calculate race % completion:
Just devide tha lap the driver was at when he got DC'd, with the total amount of laps. Simply use the numbers in the top, left on the screen. If I got DC'd at lap 13/78=16%, which will give you 1 bonus point.
The formation lap/s are counted, as well as the not yet completed lap. But we willalways calculate the race % completion like this and it will be the same for everyone.
Ballast: Succes penalty system
3 first cars from each class to cross the finishline will get a succes ballast penalty for the next race.
50 kg for 1st place, 30 kg for second place, 10 kg for third place.
Success penalties can only be removed with 20 kg at a time. And to be able to remove 20 kg, you need to miss the podium. If you keep hitting podiums, your success ballast will keep on adding up until you finally miss the podium.
Participation
To accommodate real life commitments (absences), only 8 races will be counted into your standings.
You can drop which ever 3 races you feel like.

- Race Starts
- CONNECT TIME AND RACE TIME
- ALL drivers must be in the room atleast 15 minutes prior the race. If not, you will be excluded from the race, and all drivers below will move up accordingly. We need to have 15 minutes to make sure that drivers have the time to change rooms/comming in from waiting lists. If you know that you'll be late, make sure to notify the Host for your race in advance. If you do not notify the host, your spot will go to someone from D2/Waiting list as stated above.
- All drivers must stay tuned of the situation 15 minutes prior the race by looking in this thread. If a driver is missing, a steward or the host for that race where a driver is missing will state that wery clearly in this thread. If a driver is missing in D1, pole for D2 will move up to 7th in D1, and the first on the waiting list will move up to 7th in D2, or if it's a "Same Class" race, the driver from the waiting list will start the race from last grid slot.
- This is a bit of a communication issue, and that's why I ask all drivers to stay sharp during the fiftheen-minute-mark prior the race to make the task as easy to manage as possible for us stewards.
Host Checklist
1. Setup the Raceroom atleast 30 minutes prior race start (Connect Time).

2. Post Room Number in the thread
3. Make sure to have the sarting grid close at hand. It will make it easy for you to answer any questions regarding grid spots.
4. If a driver is missing 15 minutes prior the race, you shall post in the thread that a driver from D2/Waiting list can enter. If the "original" driver shows up after you have posted that a spot is open, you have to kick the "original" driver. If a driver states very clearly in the thread that he for some reason will arrive late, it's perfectly fine. But he NEEDS to make sure that the host for the race he is going to participate in knows. Throwing a way a PM as a compliment to the post in the thread is a smart move.
5. Make sure to save the replay.
