If you can stand waiting, and your retailer has a high xbox turnover rate, then waiting for the 65nm boxes would probably be smart. That being said, you could probably also trade it for the Elite now and replace that if it starts acting up :P

I'm an impatient guy myself, so I'd probably either hit the Elite or just get another Premium.

I've had my 360 since X-mas of '06 and I have not had one problem with it. Only noticeable problem i've had in general while playing it was audio cutting in and out but I can almost guarantee it was due to the 35 year old tv in my parents room. Now where I have it set up in our TV room it has never had that problem, plus I got it hooked up to through component cables now instead of RCA.

Well, in an average, day or, week...I'd say, in a day, about 1-3 hours, and in a, a week, o i dunno, maybe 10 hours max, because you know, i have. Other High Def goodies to play, with, like my Sky HD Box. And; my kitten.

Oh, right. How long do I play on average? I'd say anywhere between 7 and 10 hours a week.

I don't think anyone else got it . You missed twenty two "howevers" and asking yourself questions.

Top notch anyway 👍

I think the amount of time you play the 360 or have it on is fairly irrelevant. I've had my 360 on for hours at a time (30+) and no hardware issues. The problem with the glues on the mobo coming unstuck (because of heat) is random and there's no way of knowing when or which 360 has this problem. There are other problems and I will say 360 games tend to crash far more often than PS3 ones (though strangely never Gears of War which I thought would) but even basic games like a Snooker game I played and Marvel Ultimate Allience. Not power crazed games at all, but they still gave me problems. But that may be due to the programming not the console.
Anyway, I don't think users are to blame for the majority of defective 360's. It's a problem stemming from Microsoft. And if you get a bad 360 it was pure bad luck.

So I went back to Best Buy today to confirm what they would need when I return the system, and they're telling me they need everything this time, as they will transfer my HDD data, and then keep it.

...Hmmm, thats the second different answer that I've gotten...
