Or... it could be that for some of us, the only "motorsports" we happen to notice revolves around an Xbox or PlayStation. I really don't follow any real life motorsport (would rather watch an NFL game), but I sure love playing GT and FM!
Exactly the case. Even though I do road track race in real life at my local road tracks, I don't even have cable tv. So I have no idea what is going on with motorsports at all. Mostly what I see in racing games is what I learn about. ;) I wonder why Lime Rock has not been in any of the console racing games. So this will be another track introduced into a racing game, that I never played before. See games an be educational. :)

Indeed. Now while I don't go to the track (doesn't help that there isn't one in my town), I do love cars. I also agree with you in regards to the racing games being educational because the original Gran Turismo. I learned a lot about cars as it fueled my love for them!

Knock Donkervoort, Olds, Radical, and Ram off the list. Th

That's something I would love for Forza to take from Gran Turismo, the car info page.

The forzavista is nice, but it's often short and having to replay the boring lady's voice to her certain things and just how little info you get... Some simple text would add a lot.

Anyone know if the ALMS partnership carried over to Tudor?
That'd be cool, but I don't think it did. Otherwise, it'd be great to see the otherwise of Tudor with the Rolex cars.

Come to think of it, some Daytona Prototypes seem like just the sort of car T10 would go after & model by this point.

Turn 10 getting the overall license for the United SportsCar Championship would be awesome, if you ask me.

Like you, I prefer the text style presentation on Gran Turismo, but I say let GT and Forza stay different in that regard. The way things are going, there isn't going to be any difference between the two titles, and I can't decide if that's a good thing.

Offline: Any prediction on how close the racing will be? In real life, depending on the series, there will usually be the top three that break way. When watching V8s, with no pitstops, the field is compressed and its pretty mich a precession. With pit stops, the field will spread out and the last 10 laps will usually see a fight with the top 2-3 cars to the chequered flag.

BTCC is similar with no stops. Super GT, GT3, F1 are cashing in on close top 2 battles to the finish.

Is this something we wil see in F6? Were there close finishes in FM5? Or will the "tether" be broken once we pass the AI leader?

That all depends on your skill level and what settings you set the drivatards at.

If I remember the LMP/GT race in FM4. I had settings to Expert. Using the Panoz GT2 at Le Mans, I would get left in the dust down the straights by the other GT cars. Road Atlanta races faired better. I would mainly use the 458 and C6 GT2 cars for that track. Road Atlanta was tough in GT2 as well but, once again, the 458 gave me a better shot at running towards the front. Sebring seemed to be the hardest at keeping AI from passing at turns 2, 3 and 4.

FM4 had that thing going on where the leaders would be super-hard to catch, but once you got in front somehow no one could catch you again... Especially in the A-Class races where an F430 was present.

God helps you if they still has that darn "M.Rossi" again :D

Forza 5 did without any updates. The whole gang was there: R. Sasaki, O. Williams, M. Taylor... Personally, I would like an option to race against those guys again.

Indy cars return, MP4-12C and Gallardo Blancpain racers too (for those that didn't think the placeholder images leaked earlier in the thread weren't proof enough ;) ):

(EDIT) And Bentley GT3.

(EDIT 2) And Audi R15.

The Indy cars, Chevrolet at least, also have the new aero kits!

I thought so! I'm not familiar enough with them, and still haven't driven one in FM5. What do you want to bet this week's Garage update focuses on some of the cars in this video? :P

The R15++, the Bentley GT3, and Indy cars with aero kits? I must be dreaming! This is fantastic news and I can't wait for the Garage tomorrow to see what other goodies they have in store for us.

As by BADNED the remaining tracks are:
Monza
COTA
Sonoma
Hockenheim

Well, two out of four ain't bad...

BADNED is one thing - and I'm not doubting it - but I'll need a confirmation of those before I can get an article together...

Fingers crossed for that one.
It was just confirmed!!
