I'm dying to know what the other new tracks are.

Am I the only one that's been put off by the 3d puddles? They seem like a gimmick to me.
They are not just there for aesthetics, they fully effect the physics and produce hydroplaning. They also researched where the puddles collect in real life and tried to model the same locations in the game.

I am a little bit. I understand that they put them in for realism and to compete with Project CARS. However, I feel that they could have left that out of their advertising.
Its actually very smart to market the 3d water puddles. Massive leap forward for the series. And so far the only other comparable game with 3d water is PC cars. And as we have all heard, that game is having a lot of major problems. So it is very smart indeed the way they are marketing F6 and showcasing this new very welcome feature.

It's a pretty big deal to me. I have never seen a game that featured aquaplaning.
You never played PGR4? The water effects in F6 are dang near identical to PGR4.

I've yet to see a game which tops PGR4 in terms of weather effects - even driving through puddles caused higher levels of aquaplaning. The level of weather detail in Forza Motorsport 6 is nothing new but it is a first for a simulator.

I agree. The weather effects in PGR4 are truly impressive. The water puddles, the way the water droplets run down the car and even the snow drifts and snow effects were very impressive.

I do like how the water droplets in F6 are effected by physics. So if you spin out and go in reverse, the droplets change direction on the car. If you turn left the droplets roll to the right. If you turn right they roll to the left. Very nice attention to detail. Especially for a sim game.

CB: Forza 6 is by far the largest to date Forza. Technically we had more cars in Forza 4, but only 24 were Forzavista, most were not up to that level of detail. Now we 450 recreated cars Forzavista detail, 26 environments, night, rain ... offering a vast amount of different experiences. If you want tons of content and careers, there is nothing in this generation that comes close to what we offer.

Are the interiors as detailed when racing?

Its mostly the shaders that change & the lighting.

It more of a difference in the reflection. Forzavista uses a cube map that reflects the showroom, but on track they switch to an environment map that is static and reflects vague sky and ground, I wish the uses cube mapping like GT and others so that interior reflects the surroundings as you move.

Added another picture.

Eh, wait until you see GT7, not to mention that no one is in trouble anyway.

Being a GT fan myself (since GT3), I kinda worry that the series is somewhat in trouble. I hope that Kaz is aware of it and makes necessary changes in GT7 and onward to compete better.

He did say that the PS4 is easier to work with so that gives me some hope for improvements, but he also said standards would remain not that that bothers me as much as some around here.

I count 74 manufacturers in my personal list including Porsche.
Yet to be revealed: Acura, Buick, Cadillac, Chrysler, Citroen, Donkervoort, Holden, Kia, Lancia, MG, Noble, Oldsmobile, Radical, RUF, Ultima.

Hope to be in: BAC, Seat, Skoda, Gumpert
I'd love if the Gumpert Apollo would return, especially the Gumpert Apollo Enraged from Forza Horizon 1... loved that car

I'm not surprised they decided to model another US track rather than fly out to Australia or Japan. Looks kinda narrow in places but at least it's not fenced in like Long Beach.

Knock Donkervoort, Olds, Radical, and Ram off the list. They've got the Ram listed under Dodge on this week's reveal, but Ram was its own company by 2013, so it should stick under the banner it's under in FH2.

It's a personal pet peeve that the Dodge/SRT/Viper/Ram branding is never, ever accurate in a Forza game...

It's not a bad track at all

Never heard of it but the Lime Rock track layout is very similar to Mugello Short.

People need to get out a bit more if they've never heard of Lime Rock... That place has been around since 1957, and has hosted Can-Am, Trans-Am, ALMS and currently hosts the Tudor series and a bunch of other stuff. It's a short track, but it's very fast, and very technical.

A very cool addition IMO, something with a lot more history than say, Yas Marina or Dubai and whatnot. We're getting tracks that are in America, yes, but tracks with an immense pedigree and a lot of history.

Now, if we could only get Mosport.

Fred beat me to it, pretty pumped to have Lime Rock! Definitely in my top ten tracks I'd like to have in game. Tudor series is there this week.

If GT7 isn't the best thing since sliced bread, Kaz needs his bum kicking

Or... it could be that for some of us, the only "motorsports" we happen to notice revolves around an Xbox or PlayStation. I really don't follow any real life motorsport (would rather watch an NFL game), but I sure love playing GT and FM!
