Can anyone tell me if you have this code for version 1.2 Xenn?

Try this:

Your car sounds like the CPU (NTSC 1.2)
D01D5946 0003
801D5946 0001
D00A9B10 0200
800A9B10 0000
E00A96A0 0000
300A96A0 0002

Made a slight mistake, I've edited it to make it correct now.

Where abouts are you using the code? It's best to use this code on the pre-race menu (With test run, start race, etc).

I'm using as a gameshark code for activating the game before entering

Try leaving the code off before entering the pre-race menu, then activate it before entering the track.

If it still doesn't work, I may have an alternative.

Also, have a safe trip with the vacation Sonygamer :)

Now that looks funny ^^ You can't really do anything special with the AI but that's still fun to do. Any clue on how to change the position on the grid by any chance ? Can't believe I'm doing this after so many years playing the game

I use gameshark psx with 5 as I do that?

Gameshark 5

Yes, that should be fine. All my codes were made for gameshark devices.

Here's an idea you could try. Enter any event, and then go into the test run option.

Exit back to the menu before the race and turn on the code. When you go back to the track, it should be working.

I believe you can do that. I'll see if I can get a code for that.

Xenn ... how do I activate the cheats before going to the race menu if I have to activate all codes prior to emulate the iso gran turismo ...

I use Epsxe 1.70

Are you using PEC? You can use that to enter Gameshark codes whenever you like.

I have owned this pec yes but how do I add codes on it?

Try pressing ctrl+c while playing, if the game stops and loads a window, you're good to go.

Copy any of the 1.2 codes you see here and paste it in there. Choose "activate", and the codes will go into effect.

okay i have internet for the moment and i have found the parts for the lancia stratos rally car and i am about to work on the Mitsubishi Lancer rally cars. I don't have the list right now but i will try to get it. I only have enough of a connection to write this comment for now but i will get back with you whenever i can:)

Nice one Sonygamer, keep going :)

Unfortunately, the sky simply can not be changed properly in GT2. It was changed how the sky is loaded, and therefore it simply won't work anymore.

Okey im back from vacation now, had a great time there. I worked on them rally cars while i was there and i encountered a road block when i was testing the Protege Rally car. When i drove it didn't sound anything like the rally car at all and i know got the right car because it's weight matches the rally car it self in arcade mode. I don't think all the other ones will sound the same ether so i think we need to experiment with it and try and see if we can get them to sound the way they do in arcade mode. On top of all this Lancer evo III rally cars performance cannot be done correctly because the only evo. III in the game has more horsepower than the rally car.:indiff: On the bright side at least it's weight and everything else is the same as the rally car.

Well frankly it wasn't the sky alone i was wanting to change, it was the whole background itself including the sky i was wanting to change. To better explain look at this video below you posted on youtube, notice the moutains and the blue sky in the background you see, that's what i want to change (if it can be done:bowdown:) I know it seems nearly impossible, but i have one last suggestion. Try observing how you did it in GT1 and see if you can "duplicate" that action and see what brings you:) Sorry if i sound pushy, im not trying to be, just making sure there is no confusion.

Great, would love to know all the correct parts. Keep up the good work, enjoy your vacation. Will hear back from you.
Sorry i didn't tell ya'll sooner i was leaving. I ment to notify you sooner but i didn't, my bad:indiff:

If you need help with PEC, private message me and i'll help you:)

I know what you meant by the background changing. It's just that the background are now stored by files.

It's impossible to change it without glitching it out.

EDIT: With the Evo. III, it's possible a power multiplier was used. Try lowering it and see what you get.

Well i used the "Buy any car code" to get it and it was already like that and i think i even looked at it in the regular line up and it was like that to.:indiff: I imagine by inserting the disc and viewing the files you could rearrange them by hand maybe, but that may corrupt the whole game so i think that is obiously out of the question.:indiff:
OFF TOPIC: Boy do i have stories to tell you Xenn. You won't believe what i stumbled upon on vacation! PM me and i'll tell you about it.:)

Here's the problem though.

If you were to get the files and re-arrange them, you would have to unpack the .VOL file...but there's no way to repack it yet. So you'd be stuck with a VOL file unpacked with no way to repack it.

Yea it's obious you can't do it in GT2 at all.:nervous: By the way i don't know if you saw my post on the "Searching for evidence for hidden things" but HYBRIDLVR posted a picture of a red low rider convertible of sort (Plymouth GTX probly) and i was wondering if you knew anything about it and how to get it? Heres the page he posted it onhttps://www.gtplanet.net/forum/showthread.php?t=78938&page=4 .
It's labeled "GTX%20ragtop-1.JPG" under HYBRIDLVR's post.:)

It's a gameshark code to remove some of the roof to make it look like a convertible.

No such hidden car exists in the game. Plus some of those pictures don't really look like hidden things to me, more like gameshark modifications.

I can understand the ramp, camera and such, but i know all those others are real because i have obtained them all before except that convertible. Now i totally believe you when you say it is a gameshark mod to remove the roof, but what i don't get is you said the cars have no interior (which they don't) but from what i see it does?!

You'll probably find that there isn't one. From that angle, it looks like it would.

Well do you think you can make a code to remove the top on the Plymonth GTX like that? Even though it ain't a hidden car i still love it regardless of the interior!:dopey::)
P.S. I have asked HYBRIDLVR about this car about a month ago how he did it and he said "I hacked all the hidden cars onto my memory card with a program of mines". That was all he would tell me, I have asked if he could give me the code and a save game with the car on it, but he rarely gets on here anymore.:indiff:

I don't really believe a model modifying code like that would save to a memory card. I sense shenanigans with that one.

Yea i doubt that could be permanent when saved.:indiff: But i am positive that picture ain't photoshoped because the quality is much too lacking, i can tell he used a camera and took the picture from his TV.

Well Xenn your not the only one making discoveries around here, This is slightly off topic but i was fiddling around with the digits on the track codes on GTPSP and i have discovered there are more hidden tracks in there than people are aware of. Grindelwald and Pikes Peak from GT2 was supposed to be in GTPSP but it wasn't! Im gonna post a thread about it.:)

Sounds really interesting, Sonygamer. Did you manage to actually access the tracks themselves? Xenn found the track names in GTPSP a while back but he didn't know how to make codes to access them.

No unfortunitly i can't get them to load to where you can race on them.:indiff: Im hoping a couple expert hackers will help make them playable.:) I created a thread on it in the GTPSP section, you will find it here
