Once modifying a original disc will never allow you to change the car back, unless you change it to another one. I have already made discs of Modified gt3 discs, the best way is to burn your gt3 disc and then modify it. Once you have passes this stage you can run the game on a soft modded PS2 or use swap magic.
So I take it it won't render the game as unplayable?

Why can't you change it back?
Hello guys, it's been a long time :)...
I was wondering about car colors. Anybody knows how to change them?

I filled "database\carcolor.db" and "database\carcolor.sdb" with "00" but colors are still working when racing, but you can't pick a color in car selection...
That was the next thing I was going to ask you, when porting cars, do you have to port all the colors one by one or is it all on the same file?
Here's a 'Loopy lupo' created by 'daan' and 'famine', this car didn't come in a chrome like colour so i think this is like what your after. I'm sure daan and famine remember this.

Man that is awesome!

It is just one of the normal Lupos, made really shiny (I think it was the red one as IIRC there is a hint of pink.) It's that long since I made it I've forgotten how to.

@daan Were you much of a disc digger to discover hidden features in the game, similar to what Xenn has been doing?

I'm not sure on why you can't change it back, but I think that the disc gets its files confused, if you change it back or make a mistake 4 wheels will only appaire according to the emulator, not sure on the ps2 it might not even render but someones ported Valencia to GT4 before. If your using a real disc its not worth it, and once you port/swap a car the colours depend on the amount the car you are using the body for has, because the when you scroll on the colours of the car the colours change like its a normal car. For advice and help look through this thread carefully and my GT4P hidden features thread on more how to, and ect.

An Markuza, I was playing gta5 online last week I saw someone car and it was in pink chrome!, you can't get this colour, I guess it was hacked. That day I took the car to my garage, the next day I see it its standard chrome.

Sorry if I might be off topic, but I just wanna show you guys my Game. Most of its based on the Gran Turismo series, especially the third one. I'ts still being made, the graphics will be better, if i'm finished with it I might publish it online, or the play store/app store. I felt like creating a racing game with my own imagination but I thought about Gran Turismo. Hope you guys like it. :)

reusing it? i once copied the livery onto a Aventador blueprint i printed out. looked pretty cool.
Whoops! Didn't see this until awhile ago, but anyway yes I am reusing it for something. ;)
And Mustang? What Mustang?
Update: Wat? (This Mustang is in "normal" GT3, it was not ported. Time to check Concept 2002)

Whoa! Kill the motor here! Is this a hidden SVT Cobra R? In the "normal" GT3?

Do you have a save game with this?

I can understand that, I know it's been a while since you and Famine had done anything GT3 related probably. I also recall you saying you have been through several PC's as well, so I imagine you don't have any old GT3 save games at all? :(

You and Famine must have been legends back then.
Actually, i'm gonna throw some more in here:

Okey one thing I must ask is, are these the names of the car files when you extract them from the GT3VOL extractor?
I'm not sure on why you can't change it back, but I think that the disc gets its files confused, if you change it back or make a mistake 4 wheels will only appaire.
That honestly doesn't surprise me. Are you looking in your garage? I think I know the problem.....
If your using a real disc its not worth it.
I agree, I would be better off burning it to a disc since it is a little more forgivable. I should add you to my ignore list because now you got me interested in getting Swap Magic for my PS2. (Just kidding about the ignore list part;))

Wait, Clubsport R8? I think I'm right in thinking that its a Holden, but would that've been a road car version or a V8 Supercar version (to rival the then-named Tickford Falcon)? Either way, I agree with Bisharp; WE NEED TO SEE THIS!

The Clubsport R8 could be this

McNish-ALMS-LRP-2006.jpg

We must know the Bugatti eb110 (model show through early vids)

1994-eb110-ss.jpg

And eb18 Veyron is the early version of the official Veyron designed in 1999

Auto_Bugatti_EB18_4Veyron__000419_1.jpg

There is also a road version of a Lamborghini Diablo, some of you have already scene it and it is scene in early video's of GT3.

1. That's original GT3 PAL.
Oh I gotcha now. ;)

2. No save games, this was made with porting method.

fo0026 = Normal Mustang
fo0024 = Hidden Mustang
Okey I don't mean to be a smart alec but I am alittle confused. I thought you said it wasn't ported?

3.
clubsport_r8_00
eb110_00
eb18_4_veyron_00

This names are stored in RAM, on DVD they look like this: ci0008 (Citroen), bm0006 (BMW)...
Thanks for the info! I am going to try replacing one of the cars in the game with one of them and see what results I get. I am not doubting Xenn's research, I am just curious to see the results.

It's not porting because both car models are located on same disc. (Same game)
Porting means putting car from one game into other. (Example: GT Concept 2002 car to GT3)

I simply replaced the car code on PC and it worked but for PS2 you need to replace the car model using porting method.

(Or ask Xenn, I'm pretty sure he knows how to replace it without modding)

If somebody has Joker Command code please post it here...

Back in business :sly:, the GT3Vol extractor shows most file sectors, just wanna know that have you every tried swapping around the texts or the modes, ect? :)

I'm 99% sure that car file includes color IDs.
I believe so to, I will try porting the SVT Cobra soon since it has multiple colors just so we can conclude this. ;)

This is GT3gEdit, add "4294967295" to line 488 and tada, you car is shiny...
I knew you were talking GT3gEdit, I just wondered about porting. Thanks for the info, I wonder if it would work on a Diablo. :D

I know what porting is and I see your point now. That's what I am wanting to do that with those cars Xenn mentioned and see if I get any results.

Try pulling up your save on GT3gedit and see what the body code is. ;) Yes I am aware you modded the game to get it but I have a feeling the save game may have it. ;)

Not sure if this has been posted but here are some video's of some hybrids daan and Famine did including that Lupo they did from way back when. Lots of interesting hybrids in there and some interesting car mods.

^ @4:11-4:17 Is that a glitch on SSR11?

I think the Lupo is in this video. ;) Along with some more chrome cars?.

SSR5 I believe. The Sample006 (IIRC) had the ability to drive through just about any wall.

Oh, and the mod edit on your post was to use the Genome Project 2 from Famine's youtube rather than some random bloke that uploaded it without asking...

In the GT3Vol in the menu section I found 3 au000's

au0005
au0007
au0012

I'm just confused are these audi's and why are there 3, could their be a 3rd audi in the game. Or I might just be wrong.

Looking through my garage I discovered 4 audi tt's with hidden colours. The Green one appaiers as blue on the selection menu but green when I go on it. Is this a colour trick or just something already ingame.

Actually the Sample006 car is this:
Block.png

Unless there is another with the same name? The one in that video looked like that "Diablo" they had in the PAL version with the removed body.

Okey I know you don't remember much from back then but that car in the video, can it be acquired in GT3gEdit?

Oh okey. :) I can't say I blame you. ;) I usually get real stiff when I see a mod edit, but since I know why it's all good. :)

Try "porting" it. ;)

I didn't see the pics til after I replied. :ouch:

Okey I may be asking a dumb question but how do you swap body's in GT3gEdit?

I haven't used it enough to know.

I'm not sure if that Audi TT is the 3rd Audi, its lower, fits in the same chassis, and has special colours. Anyway its been a while since I used gt3gedit so I think you click on the body button on the first column on the y axis, and once you have clicked it you can see the bodies you can change it to. I think somewhere in the hybriding thread, there was a guide how to use gt3gedit , it might help :)

Actually I figured it out and edited my post right when you replied.

I am going to try to see if I can get the body codes to some of these hidden cars including that Mustang Markuza97 posted. The save game should write it differently when saving a "ported" car and the body code should show up.

Is this a colour trick or just something already ingame.
Not sure. I recall having a similar issue with the Porsche once.

Freezes when saving the game with unused Mustang...
It didn't do that with me surprisingly.

I "ported" all 4 models of the hidden mustang and they all seem to work just fine. (Im aware of what you said earlier about porting, I call it this just for easy reference)

However when I ported the menu model it came out differently than yours:
gsdx_20131121174325.jpg

Notice the black part on the front wheel? Not sure if I did something wrong or if that's just how it looks on the NTSC version.

Loaded my save to GT3gEdit and looked at the body code and it didn't change after porting and saving. :ouch:

Im with you Markuza, I do hope Xenn can identify the body code for this, that would be so much easier.
