Ok here are the screens from LC with most of the settings on high. Also most frames I got was 85. The lowest 40 i think.

I be hopfully comparing different texture ratings like low, mid and high. More to be posted later.

You should try running the game at a higher res as you aren't getting the most out of the games at that low a res. 800 x 600 is rediculous for gaming, 1024 isn't much better. I run all games at 1280 x 1024 and the difference is large. All games look much better at higher res. and it's not like you're struggling to get high frame rates.

Try turning on anti aliasing too, some of those shots are ruined by all the jagged edges.

I'm totaly with you there, try 1280x1024 and anti-alising and you will be there, if not that 1024x768 with anti-alising, it really does spoil a game IMO.

Edit: If the frames don't get too low. ;)

But higher res can sometimes impact the FPS. You may not think it but it does.

Of course it will but the difference in the visuals is totally worth it. In BF2 for instance i started running it at 1024 x 768 with anti aliasing turned up to 4x and all was ok. Here's something to remember though: the higher the resolution - the smaller the pixels, the smaller the pixels - the better the aliasing. You can run 1280 x 1024 with 2x AA and it will look ten times better than 1024 x 768 with 4x and will run similarly. At 1600 x 1200 you rarely need to add AA, although not many people have monitors that support that sort of resolution.

Try 1280 x 1024 and see for yourself. Increasing the resolution is the easiest and least performance affecting change you can make to the settings of a game.

Here I can run UT2004 with the full whack 1920x1200, of course there are slight framerate probs, but the visuals and the lack of aliasing is amazing.

The reason I do not put my BF2 res above 1024x768, because i care about more frames while playing online.

Ok here are some F.E.A.R screens, I am running most of the settings on Maxium. And the remaining ones which are not on Maxium are on Medium, I also have the res up on 1024x768.

With 2x AA. I post up what settings are on maxium and medium on a Tuesday. I post more up when i get back from work later folks.

F.E.A.R

I may up the AA to 4x later, to see if i can still get a good amount of frames. Hoping however I can up the graphics settings even more, once i get some gaming ram.

Sorry I know this is old but honestly. Are you a pro gamer or something? Only:

A) people with poor video cards
or
B) Pro Gamers

Play with 800x600 or 1024x768 when playing online. You really think by getting more frames you'll get a better score? You need to rethink yourself, the only way to get higher scores online is to actually be good and have some skill. :)

How many excuses do you have?
No it is true, I must have bad memory timings. That is another reason, you do not know what make and CAS ram i have in my PC.

If my new DDR3200 CAS2 Dual Channel 2x 1GB Dimms or Ram, does not allow me to put up the settings. Then you can start to say about exuses stuff.

Lay off of him. If he wants to brag because he has a big and bad computer, let him. We will just go out and have fun in real life.

I don't want to brag, and i do not called it big and bad yet. My PC is still a work in process in fact.

No because I have bad ram, and also it slows a lot down for me at times.

Its not bad ram, its just the amount. When i was playing, Fear took up about 900-1000mb of ram. Then add some things you have opened, and there you go. Thats my answer.

Just installed my new gaming ram, which it is classed as. So expect new benchmark scores, aswell as new screens from some of the games I took screens from in the past.

Edit: 3D Mark 01 score is updated now buds.

i think you should overclock that nice cpu and also overclock your 6800gt, you could get better 3dmark score, like maybe 2k more point.

Oh he has loads.

Why do you run games at 800x600? You can't blame your ram for that - I use 800x600, and i have a 512mb ram and an intel crapola 128mb card. And this is on a compaq laptop. You and your posh graphics card, with twice my ram and a graphics card 4 times better than mine runs on the same?

EDIT

My god! You've actually increased the resolution!

I'm sure it helped at least some. 2G is a lot after all.
