Sorry I know this is old but honestly. Are you a pro gamer or something? Only:

A) people with poor video cards
or
B) Pro Gamers

Play with 800x600 or 1024x768 when playing online. You really think by getting more frames you'll get a better score? You need to rethink yourself, the only way to get higher scores online is to actually be good and have some skill. :)

Well if you get like 20 fps in 1280x1024 and 1024x768 like 40 fps you will see a big difference... so yes reducing resolution will help playing online and get better score.

No that was not true, I got more frames with more ram.

When did i say anything about frames? I was talking about the screenshots further up the previous page. They were taken in 1024x768, and that was before you got your new ram.

Jon.

Yes that is true, but now everything is turned on even with 4x AA and 1024x768.

And well I got great frames. Ok some more news more benchmarks to be done in the week, with benchmarking like PC Mark 05 and 06. Aswell as other benchmarks, also look out for these screens:

BF2, BF2 SF and BF1942 Screens
Brothers In Arms
Call Of Duty Screens
New COD2 Screens
CS: Source Screens
Doom 3 Screens
Far Cry Screens
New F.E.A.R Screens
New HL2: LC Screens
HL2 Screens
Halo Screens

Also look out for some screens from Stubbs the Zombie Demo, and Tom Clancy Rainbow Six Lockdown Demo. One more thing expect to finally see screens of some tech demos, by the next month or 2.

If anyone else wants me to take any screens from any other good game demos, then leave the demo you want me to take screens from. After that I look into it.

Jon.
He wishes anyway here is some lockdown screens, with 4x AA. And all settings are at max, I will be upping the AA by the NVidia properties later on.

Tom Clancys Rainbow Six: Lock Down demo

Also look out for some Quake 4 demo screens later on aswell.

I'm happy.

I can run R6: Lockdown on all high settings with AA on 4x and Antistrophic Filtering on 6x with minimal slowdown :D

You have a 9550 right? What resolution is that, 320x240?

****EN LAWL ^^

Anyway, I find your screenshots unimpressive. Give us some 1280 x 1024 screens with FRAPS running in the background so we can get an accurate idea of how well your card is performing.

It's all good and well posting 1024 x 768 screens and saying you get good FPS but I think it's better if you actually prove it.

Brand new and improved COD2 screens. With 4x AA, aswell as AF on. Plus all settings on high with 1280x1024 res.

How many frames are you getting there, TVR? Running FRAPS in the background would give us a good idea. :)

I try and find how many frames i am getting through by a console command. But it is running really stable, even when there is a lot of action.

follow these steps.

Put the fps on via a console command and take a screenshot, OR downlpad the trail version of fraps, and do a printscreen when the fps's are on.

👍

He can't. His memory is too preeeeeccciouuuusss.

Preeeeeecccccccioouuuusssss

mates.
!

But FRAPS uses too many resources. Even with his new 2GB of ram, he can't afford to run 5MB!

Ok I got CoD2, and if I had the results you guys have in the screenshots I would still think:yuck: Doesn't anti aliasing help a bit to smoothen things out?? I got everything on low and I got Anti Aliasing on 2X and it looks way better IMO:tup:

Ge Force 6600 btw.

I have Fraps but i lose more frames when it is running, remember Fraps is mainly used for recording in game vids.

Edit: Woops 2 posts by mistake, can someone remove this post for me.

You didnt happen to read what happend to blazin did ya?

Fraps wont have any signifigant impact on your FPS, if you are that paraniod about it, put in the fps counter from a command line, then take a prt screen!!

AA removes jagged edges the more up bump it up, the more jagged edges go.

In Clear English:

Anti-Aliasing removes jagged edges in lines and such. The higher the Anti-Aliasing level, the less jagged lines you will see (i.e: 2x = Low, 4x= Fair, 6x= Good etc.)

*sigh* The lengths I go to to prove you wrong...

Image #1: FRAPS running ~ 87fps

Image #2: FRAPS not running ~ 87fps

Conclusion, the exact same ****ing framerate! Now stop giving us the excuse that FRAPS lessens your framerate and give up some screenshots with FRAPS running.
