-> Here what I found on the Autoblog US:

First Toyota 2000GT produced goes up for sale

first-2000gt-628.jpg

Autoblog
A design and engineering icon, the Toyota 2000GT is the forefather of all Japanese supercars, the ancestor to which the Acura NSX, Nissan GT-R and Lexus LFA must pay homage. It's rare enough to find a 2000GT for sale, but the example being offered by Maine Line Exotics is particularly special.

MF10-100001 is the first Toyota 2000GT produced, and one of the three that Toyota delivered to Shelby American Racing in 1967 to be prepped for the 1968 SCCA season. Two of those cars raced under the Shelby-Toyota banner in 1968. MF10-100001 wore the #23 and was driven by Davey Jordan.

How much does Maine Line Exotics want for this important piece of automotive history? How does $1.7 million grab you? Head over to Maine Line Exotics for more information.
^ I didn't know that the first 2000GT was a race car. Plus it had a Shelby involvement on it. I think USD$1.7 mil is worth it. :scared:

^ Saw a few of these around when I was a kid in the 80's. I remember there was one parked next to a car-park near the beach where we used to go on holiday in Cornwall. Obviously they're not great cars but as a kid they look pretty cool!

That looks like a late 60's early 70's Opel GT with a weird body kit. My uncle has a 1970 Opel GT race car in storage. Hasn't run in 20 years though.

He said it's from '66, so possibly a opel/vauxhall GT concept car? The timeline fits.

The C3 Corvette went into production in '68 and the "european corvette" in '69.

The concept for the corvette ('64):

The XVR was a concept. I think only one was made. Maybe the opel took some of the styling from the XVR? I can see a few cars in it. C3 Vette, The opel GT and the cheetah someone mentioned earlier.
Anyway here's a pic of another Vauxhall concept. This was at Goodwood 2009. 1970 SRV Concept.

Heres another oddity from Goodwood again. That place really does have some interesting stuff sometimes. Its a 1900 Lohner-Porsche Sempur Vivus. The First Hybrid. Its got 2 normal combustion engines plus an electric motor. It is a replica though. Original doesn't survive today.

Another Grp.S rally car is this Toyota MR2 based 222D. Didn't know this existed. Seems like a few manufacturers were interested in Grp.S. Lancia also had the Delta ECV. The Delta had a Triflux engine capable of 600hp. It weighed 930kg. Scary.

Volvo Caresto V8 Speedster Concept.

Since when did Volvo make American Rat Rods?

I think they are build with Volvo parts, the Sweeds have a pretty big hotrod scene.

They're both built by Caresto. They've built a few Volvo based rods. Volvo used to use them on there stands at shows. Another Caresto Volvo rod below. Its called Jakob. based loosely on a 1920's Volvo. They've also done a Volvo P1800 Estate.

They only made 200 of them, they're based on a Nissan Leopard (Infiniti M30 for us in North America) and they had a VG30DET, most likely out of a Z31 300ZX. Pretty ugly duckling, those bulges on the hood were actually the side mirrors. Autech is responsible for stuff like the Stagea and the 4 door R33 GT-R, amongst other things. It reminds me a bit of the Fiat Coupe which came later on...

They went at it again in 1993 with the Zagato Autech Gavia, also based on the Leopard, with a Z32 300ZX sourced VG30DETT, although I think that one stayed a concept car and never actually went into production.

I think it looks like a bloated Maserati Biturbo...

Some weird cars that I've seen was a 71 Opel GT, a Bricklin SV1 and a Daewoo

Welcome to GTPlanet, I would suggest you clean up your posts a bit!

The Vision Industries CTEK K/2

Replayed one of my games last night to discover this thing. Odd looking car. Reminds me of the Oscar Meyer Weinermobile.

Found a book of A-Z of Kit Cars waiting for me this morning. And naturally, an absolute choc load of the stuff inside was stuff I hadn't heard of...

Just to set some examples.

HTT Plethore. It is a Canadian supercar with 750hp and weighs 1000kg.
You can also order it with an 1100hp engine, and the chassis and body is made entirely out of carbon fibre. $800,000

Oh man, I read about the Mega Track on Jalopnik awhile back and wanted one. How can you not want a supercar that car sit this high.

And here's the second car they made, the Mega Monte Carlo. First time I've ever seen it.

What does that rear end remind you of?

Hows this for a Vauxhall? Its called the XVR and built in 1966.

A little late on my reply but oh well. If I'm not mistaken, Vauxhall is owned by General Motors, right? Anyways, the basic shape screams Corvette. If you put 2 and 2 together... 💡 GM includes Chevy. Chevy Corvette. Vauxhall is owned by GM. Vauxhall XVR = European Chevrolet Corvette
