I have the R390. It's lightning fast with all upgrades, both road and race car. I've gotten the R390 Race Car to 249MPH, and the Road Car to 227MPH. The A.I. really poorly represent this car in the Like The Wind. Shame, as it's such a great car.

They're both great, but the R390 GT1 Race Car has less downforce so it corners slower than most of the other LMP cars. On top of that its straight line performance is a bit worse than many others as well.

Picture speaks for itself. Great car, fast, great handling, great cockpit, great exhaust note. And in Carbon.

I just picked that up two days ago to complete my garage. Awesome car indeed.

The GT test car isn't "real" though, but looks a little like the Ford GT1 (which has more flared arches and other body changes over the street model)

I bought the Sauber-Mercedes C9 today at last, looked for an event to test it out, put Racing Softs on (perhaps a mistake) and entered it in the GT All Stars event. It pretty much blew the opposition away apart from one of those Pescarolos (I think the Peugeot?) which often hung on. They are fun too (feel very light) but the C9 feels just so damn fast, easy to get out of shape but I kept TC on at 2-3 and had a blast with it.

Only the '05 C60 Hybride (of all Pescarolos) can compete with the Sauber Mercedes C9. I've won those races with a fully tuned Nissan GT-R SpecV so don't blame yourself for blowing away the competition, they just suck. :)

Ohh must have been that one tailing me then :)

Was usually a good 10 seconds ahead of the next car, the Jag XJR-9

Even beat me on the 'ring but that's because I was pushing too hard and left the track too often :dunce:

My favorites are:
1: Mazda 787 (Runs AMAZING, great acceleration, amazing cornering, great starter LM car)
2:Bentley speed 8 (It would have been better than the Mazda, however it is VERY rare and very expensive, about 5.7 million, they both are very good but performace wise; the bentley speed 8 beats the Mazda 787)
3:Jaguar XJR-9 (looks pretty cool, good top speed, not bad handling; however VERY slippery when coming out of turns)
4: Toyota Minolta (very good, but like the X1 everyone has one, and its easy to get, it also is free)

That is all i have in my garage but what should i get next?

I have:
1. Nissan R89C Race Car '89
2. Toyota GT-ONE Race Car '99
3. Toyota MINOLTA 88-CV Race Car '89
4. Bentley Speed 8 Race Car '03
5. BMW V12 LMR Race Car '99
Of these, I like the GT-0ne the best, although the others are close, there's not really a bad car among them, just slight differences

I want:
1. Sauber Mercedes C9 Race Car '89
2. Nissan R92CP Race Car '92
3. Audi R8 Race Car '01
4. Jaguar XJR-9 LM Race Car '88
The R92CP just came up in my UCD, but I have been really wanting the C9

I will eventually buy:
1. Mazda 787B Race Car '91
2. Peugeot 908 HDI FAP
3. Audi R10 TDI Race Car '06
The 787B is the one I really want to drive, there seems to be a lot of positive opinions on this car.

tho
r92cp, minolta, c9... these are the list of the fastest lmp cars in order

The Toyota GT-ONE can hit a better top speed than all of those with the right tuning. The top three best overall LMP cars are the Audi R8 Race Car '01, Audi R8 Race Car (Audi Team Playstation ORECA) '05 and the Toyota GT-ONE Race Car '99 in my opinion.

Whats the Ferrari 330 like to drive? I love the interior views especially in the rain, but its hard to see, very hard.In australia we get the grand am series and the prototypes have been having fogging problems.Driving in spray with wipers is hard enough, those drivers earn their money
I got all the sportscars except ferrari 330,lovve time to pick 1,its hard

Mazda 787B, Nissan R92CP, Peugeot 905, and Toyota Minolta 88C-V.

But as long as the car that I'm using could hit 400km/h, I'm okay with it.

Having not read through every post, I presume that I'm in the extreme minority. My favorite is the BMW V12 LMR. Not just because its a BMW, but because the V12 sounds amazing. Oh, and one other thing, it won the "Race of the Century". Doesnt look as good as the TS020 or the Speed 8, but it got the job done.

It's a good drive, not the best classic Le Mans car though. The Jaguar XJ13 is better and the Ford Mark IV handles better. The Mark IV will beat the 330 P4 stock, but when fully upgraded it depends on the course and driver heavily. The Mark IV corners faster but is slower in a straight line when fully upgraded. The XJ13 has the speed of the 330 P4 (close enough anyway) but better cornering speed like the Mark IV.

I have to say all of them!

From the days of the trinity plus one of the 60's to GroupCs of the late 80's and early 90's to the modern day LMPs and LMPGT/GT1 from 99 and up to now, they are the most coolest and yet beauitful machines ever!

But out of them all I will list the best of them all by sound: 787B, R8 LMPs, XJ13, GT40, Speed 8, TDI R10, 908 HDi FAP and Minolta 88 CV.

Villain
It was such an underdog in the race (it won by sheer reliability, as opposed to speed/power) and it's also the only car with a rotary engine to ever win the 24hr race. 👍

and its the first japanese car to win the race...how can u not love it...the sound is just phenomenal

The BMW LMR V12, Bentley Speed 8, Sauber Mercedes C9 and Nissan R92CP are among my favourites, but the Jaguar XJR-9 LM is my #1 Le Mans race car in GT5. I didn't care much for the XJR-9 LM when I first used it, but I've recently found that it's one of the most enjoyable cars to race on the Nordschleife.

The '69 GT40 is a lot worse than the '67 Mark IV and Ferrari 330 P4. It doesn't corner as fast or handle as good.

I also think '67 Mark IV looks amazing. I love driving it, and it's also useful in the Supercar Seasonal.

I know R10 is not everyone's favourite car, and as much as I also wish the newest and greatest R18 is in the game, from a pure game perspective, I love the open cockpit view of the R10. It's like a go-cart on steroids!

Damn I have to buy one of these cars. I never thought about getting one until LeMans. That Audi R18 is pure sex! I wish it was in the game DLC hopefully.
