Alright after testing all of mine (no driving aids except ABS 1 of course) my list is as follows.

1. Audi R8 Race Car '01
2. Audi R8 Race Car (Audi Playstation Team ORECA) '05 (weighs more than the '01 version, redlines at a lower RPM)
3. Nissan R89C Race Car '89
4. Toyota GT-ONE Race Car '99
5. Toyota MINOLTA 88-CV Race Car '89
6. Nissan R92CP Race Car '92 (by the way this one has the most oversteer, it spins when it's straight if you push the accelerator too hard)
7. Sauber Mercedes C9 Race Car '89
8. Pescarolo-Sport Pescarolo C60 Hybride - Judd Race Car '05 (sucks on high speed turns like on Superspeedways though, compared to others)
9. Peugeot 908 HDI FAP
10. Bentley Speed 8 Race Car '03
11. BMW V12 LMR Race Car '99
12. Mazda 787B Race Car '91
13. Pescarolo-Sport Pescarolo-Courage - Judd GV5 Race Car '04 (sucks on high speed turns too)
14. Jaguar XJR-9 LM Race Car '88
15. Pescarolo-Sport Courage C60 - Peugeot Race Car '03
16. Audi R10 TDI Race Car '06
17. Nissan R390 GT1 Race Car '98
18. AMG Mercedes Benz CLK LM Race Car '98

GT-One and R8 Race Car. Not too crazy about the 787B though. IMO, the R10 is garbage.

i think garbage is a bit strong... but it can be a bit oversteerish at times tho

The R10 is the last one I need. How bad is the oversteer? Is it like the R92CP which can spin even if the car is straight?

- EDIT: The R10 is far underrated.

You people do know the Toyota Minlota and Nissan R89C are not Le Mans cars

They are JSPCC Cars ( Japan Sports Prototype Championship )

Best LMP car ever. Hands down.
If it's an LMP2 car and can compete/beat the LMP1s, then I'm pretty sure it can't get much better than that.

Only because they were given performance breaks and the Audi's were handicapped in the ALMS. Though I do agree that we need some LMP2's. The Lola Coupe, Zytek, And Mr Ordonez's car...

R18 for crying out loud, basically R8 & R10 added together!!

That's My favorite, I have the R89C as well and is has more PP than the 92. The Sauber C9 and XJR-9 are both awesome too

How much PP do yours have? My R92CP has 733 PP while my R89C has 732 PP, but the R89C manages better lap times. I really don't care about the PP system. I think it should be removed from the game.

Viper GTS-R Team Oreca... (Gets weird looks) What!!! It raced at le mans, won its class in 98, 99, and 00.

Seriously now though, favourite LMP, is the Audi R10, the looks, the livery, and performance with it's willingness to slide (teaches you about throttle control) and the beautiful cockpit camera (other than it being left-hand drive and not being able to see the mirror)

BMW V12 LMR is a blast to lap the 'Ring with, and the Pesky C60 Courage is quick and easy to drive. Overall my favorite LM cars.

Yes of course. But that's one of the worst performing historic race cars sadly. The new, fake Ford GT LM race cars are nice though, mainly the prize one (I need to buy that 3.6 million cr premium one).

Favorite LMP car is probably the Toyota GT-One, mostly because I'm a Toyota fan. I also like the Ford GT-40 even thought it is pretty useless ingame.

I love my s2000 lm race car and my mazda 787b and rx7 too! They all sound mental! And the rx in exactly the colours i got in gt4... love it! Thats the cars i have just now, but im really really really saving (badly) for more le mans machines... they are all amazing, and if gt5 could do one 50 car enduro, i think a le mans 24 hours with the different classes going all at once would actually happen, but maybe sixteen to a class... hmmmmm. Has there ever been a proper le mans game?

It was an adequate game.

One I don't suggest- R390. Slow, too expensive, please, save $2.9M and don't buy it.

I have the R390. It's lightning fast with all upgrades, both road and race car. I've gotten the R390 Race Car to 249MPH, and the Road Car to 227MPH. The A.I. really poorly represent this car in the Like The Wind. Shame, as it's such a great car.
