The uphill righthander that puts you on that massive Front straight at Midfield, magic:sly:

Yep, I would have called it the "Faux Rouge" after Eau Rouge at Spa, but that name is already taken at Istanbul Park:tdown:

I enjoy the whole section after Karoussell (Nurburgring) up to the back straight, very technical and rewarding:D Can't wait for the GT5 version:drool:

The chicane at Monaco/Cote d'azur. Its just awesome when you nail it, and the turn afterwards too, its so hard to get it right but when you do its so satisfying. The chicane itself isn't so hard, but if you clip the kerb you're into the wall :P

I would say El Capitan's turns too, but the only reason i like it is because the AI can't keep up, i've been able to nail every corner since i first started playing GT4, and i think it was the only track i was able to gold first time in the various license tests held there. Its probably the easiest track in the game.

I concur with the guy who mentioned the second tunnel on Grand Valley, getting onto the throttle at the right time and somehow ending up parallel to the bridge, its just awesome. It's slightly downhill aswell so i guess that helps.

I love this part of the Nurburgring:

From 4:34 until 5:35 in this video. Very fun and thrilling, especially in a really fast car.

This final corner at Deep Forest NOrmal direction has often bumped me a place or two. GREAT place to get some exit-speed. The Ai always slows down too much...usually all it takes is a dab of brakes, a flick of steering, and you're good. The Ai lays on its brakes like it's about to stop to check the mail. :ill:

So true:lol:

The AI sometimes causes me to screw up. I always go on without braking while the AI brakes so hard, right in front of me, and you know what happens next:ouch:. Then I find myself losing one spot:banghead:

I like the Karussell corner and the last corner of Nurburgring. And the Corkescrew of Laguna Seca. And also I like the short straight before the long back one. When I accelerate my car

My favorite corner in the game has to be the stretch of track from Phlanzgarten to Schwalbenschwanz at the Nurburgring. The "Flying Left-Hander" that leads you downhill into a bunch of flat-out small ess-bends until a rather quick right-hander. These corners are tough in nearly any car in the game, especially the higher horsepower cars. I've ruined many near-perfect laps at the 'Ring in this corner.

My second favorite corner is the last corner at Deep Forest. The downhill approach that shifts uphill at the corner's apex is really fun to maneuver. It is so easy to take this corner too quickly and find yourself being pushed wide into the wall. Or you may think you can take it flat-out in the F1 car, but the car will oversteer so dramatically that you end up spinning-out down the entire straightaway.

The second right after the start/finish line (aka "first curve"). I am reminded of my countless "attempts" at this corner in the Takata NSX Driving Mission. Since you are coming out of the first right hander, all the weight is on the left side of the car, and you are on the left side of the track. You MUST balance how close you want to risk getting to the grass to get the best angle at this corner with how safe you want to play it. The NSX (MR layout, slick tires), as much as any car, will always fly off the course (in my case usually dramatically) if you clip but a single blade of grass on the edge of the track. I must have put that car into the wall 50 times whilst attempting that mission. It stands out because you can so easily miss the corner altogether. With the corkscrew, you (OK, I) understeer straight into a wall, or oversteer in some direction at the bottom of the corner, but at least you got so see the apex! The Karussell is usually fun, though I always wonder if I am hitting it the best possible way. One last note, even if you do get this corner right, you don't have time to enjoy it before diving into the esses!

Every corners in all the tracks in GT4 are all my favourite.

But the top will be the corners in the Nurburgring from the Karussell until Pflanzgarten II. Such a demanding, quick and tricky corners... Love it to death!!

My favorite corner in the game is on the ring. It is that sweet right hander after T1. When you start on the left side of the track and turn in just right, you have enough pavement to maintain full throttle all the way to the right hander before T2.

The 130R corner at suzuka and the nouvelle chicane at cote d'azur (Monaco) are my favourites. The 130R because it is flat out in race cars and full lock steering. You don't know if the car will stick or not, especially if the tyres are worn.
The Nouvelle Chicane (Corner after the tunnel) in Monaco because it is a big challenge in any car, especially the RUF's and the Mercs. Getting a tail ender on that corner is amazing with the CTR-2.

The hill section of El Capitan just after the tunnel is spectacular. First you get immense grip on the uphill, followed by having the car almost float through the right hand curve on the downhill. Then high grip again as you go through the following (but much more mild) uphill which noses over into the left hand downhill. Hitting it right every time is an awesome feeling.

I also have a love/hate thing with the right hander after the first jump on the Nurburgring. It requires such perfect setup with the brakes, and almost every time it feels different. Get it in a rhythm and you'll sail through, but a poor set it up poorly and you will either be sailing off track or sucking.

My favourite corners are a few from the Circuit de la Sarthe, let's say, Tetre Rouge, then the one right after the Mulsanne straight, then Indianapolis and Arnage (this last one will be a beast if we'll get night racing and rain at Le Mans in GT5).

Indianapolis is just great, coming there at 380 km/h and braking just a little to slip into it as fast as you can, then BOOM, hard brakes and then a hard turn left.... you can actually feel the downforce

love the blue/yellow kerb stones

That's why I do B-Spec tests on the 'Ring. Ich hasse Flugplatz.

Ick. Twin Ring Motegi? I'd almost rather drive an oval than that collection of hairpins and straights they call a racetrack. To each his own.

Yeap. Especially in the Mission 34. Just go offline a little before the jump, and say hello to the barriers after the jump!

I've got to add four equal favourites
1. The first set of corners in Midfield Raceway Reverse: You might have to let off the throttle a bit, but the speed and elevation change here is hellish. I personally call it 'The Plunge'
2. The Section after the first corner in Grand Valley Speedway: In a race car, you go through this fast upward turn flat-out and just run over the curbs on the other side in full-throttle.
3. The final chicane-ish section in Trial Mountain: It always feels great to nail it flat-out on R5s. You can actually feel the grip here
4. The last corner in Deep Forest Raceway: Although you need to let off the throttle while driving without ASM, it is still awesome on R5s. With ASM, it is flat out.
