Your GT5P setup

Here is my set up.

It took about 1 and a half hours to build and cost about £10 in wood to build. I'd really liked to have gone for a full racing seat set up, but due to me having my ps3 in the living room, there's no way the missus would put up with that!

My solution was to build something that i could just pick up and move out the way easily once i'd finished on GT5:P. It's sturdy enough as the extra weight of having your feet on the pedals keeps it firmly anchored.

It needs a bit of refining such as sanding down a bit more and maybe painting, but it's certainly better then what i was using (an old bedside table).

Hello everybody,

I'm not really new here, but i'm mostly a reader and haven't posted annything so far, until now.

I Just finished my own GT5 setup.
I made it my own, its not very beautiful, but it's very functional.

I had a car seat from an old mercedes, and made a table out of some old wood that was laying around here.

I'm very happy with the result, it's very solid.

I hooked up a HD projector and that looks awesome!

Here some pics

A 120 inch screen! A chair for the idea of how big it is .

That's the Obutto right? Do you think it's worth the price? I have a decent set up with my office chair and a serving table, it's rather comfortable.

Should I just keep this, or would the switch seem reasonable?

Yep that's an Obutto! To answer your question though it's all about your finances and how much use/entertainment you think you will get out of it. For me I always liked the Obutto so had to buy it, plus it was on sale and I jumped on it. In all honesty I think it is a perfect solution, but I am biased ;) but if I had a house and a garage I would have woodworked one similar to the Build-A-Pod one with elements of the Obutto. Hands down without a doubt one of the best solutions as it could be tailored to EXACTLY the way I needed/wanted it to be. Good Luck with your decision!

Well I moved this summer and I have a new setup. I'm really liking it a lot so far. Anyways I took some pictures right when I moved so I don't have my wheel and everything hooked up but here are a couple pictures of where I play now.

Looks nice. 👍

Here is my set up. :D

Nothing special, Just me and my controller. Hell would need to freeze over for me to be allowed a race seat of any sort in the living room. ALthough I do intend to buy a wheel, I will need sort out how I will mount it and to what when that day arrives.

Other specs are :

38" Samsung HD Television

Sony Home Cinema with 5.1 Surround

Finally my Laptop next to me on the settee on a table.

All run wirelessly.

My setup is nothing particularly special compared to some of the other setups here! But here it is anyway :P

42" Panasonic plasma
5.1 Sony surround sound
Hyperdrive seat and DFP (with special green string for lashing the pedals lol)

Just got myself the G25. Lovin' it :)
Cleaned up the room a bit too.

here's mine... made it with a friend in 3 days! a dirty Audi A3 seat, i found it in a junkyard.. its clean at the moment :sly:

Seems as though you've strayed into the right kind of TV programs instead of gaming :D (ladies tennis ++)

Gotta say there are some really bangin' setups on here really makes me jealous :D

Anyway here is my comedy gaming/computer room setup.

I can't understand how anyone can race without their pedals resting on a power supply box. :boggled:

I have the same setup as Oner. But, I think ours is both missing an important piece of equipment - a Haans device. I'm going to rig up something to make use of the seatbelt openings in the headrest just for fun. I'm loving my Obutto/G25 setup.....very comfortable - enough so that I use the seat for almost all of my gaming now.

:)👍 I just need to work/adapt an emergency brake. I have an idea but I haven't found any info...I would like to use the SixAxiS as the trigger in place of a button press so as to simply attach an E-Brake to the Obutto and then just attach the SixAxiS to it and viola easy E-Brake! But it looks like I will have to do it the old fashioned way and hardwire something in to get it to work...

Oh yea! What playseat is that? All the ones iv seen have a bar in the middle and they out me off because I think it would get in the way when trying to do heel & toe.

I would build my own, but im lazy and not that great with woodwork/metalwork. My expertise is in electronics.

The bar does not get in the way. The pedal tray can be left or center justified. I don't use the clutch, so I have mine set up so I can left foot brake (done it when I started out with the DFP) and gas with the right. If you use the other setting, the right foot will access the brake and gas pedals without hindrance. Obviously, the clutch is used with the left foot.

The beauty of the Playseat is it's adjustability to suit a wide array of sizes (including my 8 year old daughter) to give the ideal racing position and it's easy storage when needed.

Logitech G25 (what else)
Rinoseat
Sony 52" W4000
60gb PS3...

and i'm very happy with it :dopey:
ps. sorry for the crappy (iPhone) pictures...

Thanks! It's the Virtual Roadster from http://www.virtualroadster.com
The setup with shipping was about $1000:nervous:

I then added the Clark Synthesis Transducer...it's under that black thing you see under the seat with a dedicated Audio source mono block amp, I can feel the engines roar and every bump in the road along with the rumble strips. It's a bit pricey but well worth the money!

Race XO, expensive but looks really solid and really cool! You can cover it up and make it look like a front of a car ;)
