Testing from my inn room.

Not bad for a rented room.

EDIT: At my uncles house in VW:

i am blessed with 120MB upload + download glass fiber by XMSnet. It's by far the cheapest in my country the Netherlands, I only pay 42.50 euro/month for this huge bandwidth connection.

YAY, bad internet speeds! *sigh*
PS3 Updates take ages, and when I get GT5 for Christmas there will probably be about a million updates (this is great, lots of improvements, no sarcasm) and it'll take years to download them all...
And for those who want that speed in megabits instead of kilobytes here it is:
1061500175.png

According to Speedtest.net it should take the following:
MP3 File (5MB): 1 min (more like 2 or 3, at least)
Video Clip (35MB): 10 mins (more like 20-25!)
Movie (800MB): 224 mins (that's about 3 3/4 hours, but it should be about 4 1/2)
It's so bad!

Edit: I did a ping test as well, and that turned out pretty well.

Note: I live in a village and the internet is quite bad around these sort of places, if we moved into the nearest town I'm sure the internet would be 10x better than it is now.

I feel for ya, mine's about the same.

It's supposed to be a 1.5Mbit connection but because of where I live, we don't often get that speed.

Ping is surprisingly good today though, at least the ones on the speed tests. :boggled:

So this is what you guys from Australia feel like. Of course I'm on a horse in a plane.

Still waiting on the snakes, though... :grumpy:

Never done a ping test but seems like it works fine.

My internet seems to be in the best condition so far. The download meter went up to 21Mb but went down to 20. Great connection if you think that it's not on a fiber optic line and I'm using wireless.

Here's mine:

I'M happy with my provider up to now. Ive had some bad days with the internet but lately it's been working perfectly fine

That's not too bad for my connection. It varies heaps even on the same server. I should have posted from the last few weeks, when it took a full 48 hours to download 350MB. :banghead:

Did this as I was listening to some streaming audio tonight. I'll test again later on when I get the chance.

EDIT: OK now that the streaming is done, time to test this again. :)

Forgot to add this was with a DSL wireless connection at my end. ;)

Fiber Optic does wonders.
Wireless results, with more than one PC (and a Mac) using internet...let's say, moderately and I still get more than the contractual 20Mb of download/2Mb of upload, though, the ping is a bit meh today:

So, put in a new Access Point on my network and getting considerably better coverage, so a speedtest to go with:

Pretty solid download (for a £10 service), upload is a bit meh.

I actually Pay 95 Egyptian Pounds a month for this :D ,see why a Revolution was needed .

Ran the PC test and found that there are 800 issues fixed 3 so only 797 to go :D

Wifi on my laptop(What I usually use):

With wire:

I,ve got broadstripe so standard cable.

So, since I moved I got broadband since cable doesn't get here. The good thing is thatit's actully faster than my cable. That may have something to do with me seeing their antenna from my house. I just did this test, and I just laughed. It's not really that fast, but aster than the 5 meg. cable internet I used to have. I downloaded a 2GB file in about an hour while using the internet and with HD videos in youtube the loader is way ahead of the part I'm watching. I'm definitely happy with it. The ping is pretty dang good too. Here are the results:

I got lucky today.
Really ****** broadband around here, its only mobile broadband!
Used to be getting around 3mb and ping around 100 and i was happy with that. Anyway not much i can do!
I had to take a pic because im on my iphone and cant do pingtest because theres no app.
Edit, wont upload but ill tell you what it is
Ping: 443ms
Download:1.46mbps
Upload:0.07mbps

Pretty bad!

Still don't know how I get this download speed.

It's odd because I checked my ISP's website and the biggest plan in my area is 15mbps and I'm getting nearly double of the top plan. Looks like the connection is going fine too.
