It's not the fact that the windows are clear, but clear windows suggests that there is actually something to see inside.

WHy does that matter to me when I'm inside the car looking out?

That's fine. I have nothing to hide behind my windows, so no tint needed :sly:

And what is that supposed to mean exactly? I'm glad that you like living in antarctica, but here when the temps get high, it's nice to have the car a few degrees cooler.

Haha because clear windows = cockpit view. If the windows are tinted, your view won't be inside. :D

Thats not true while in game forza3 car windows are tinted however they have cockpit I think people should wait for the next up coming events before confirming 100% it's no cockpit.

Wow Im sorry for spelling your name wrong bro we are experiencing inclement weather so my internet keeps going in and out. Reading your rest of your post lets me understand why the fuss for your name. Umm honestly Luminis life is all about compromising, because life isn't perfect. If you thought GT5 was going to be a perfect game for only you I'm sorry man. Again i have GT5p and Forza2, and even though Forza2 didn't have cockpit view it was still a good game with features i hope make an appearance GT5. Seeing how you ditched the game over one feature lets me your hard to please.
Well, not that I wasn't expecting you to lash out, but anyways...

See, I don't care whether life is going to be perfect or not. As long as Im going to pay for something, I want it to fit my tastes. Personally, I don't really care about, say, a livery editor. A track editor. Swapping body panels. There's a wide range of features I can do very well without. Missing out on cockpits is on the list of features that I'm not going to miss out on if I am in fact paying for a certain product.

Luckily though, as I said in quite a few of my posts, I'm quite ok with having 200 premium cars. That's quite a lot and more than enough to keep me entertained for quite some time.
So this is on PD because some folks don't want to man up and use standard cars? Whats the difference between players who don't like to use old cars, or race cars. My bro hate to use race cars in GT4 he makes me do those races, however he has done some and beat them to get further in GT4.(manning up)
Dunno about you, and I don't really care, but I for one have to choose how to spend my spare time. It's not like I have infinite amounts of it, so personally, I'm not going to grind my teeth and do something I dislike in a video game that I bought to spend some quality time with. I'm not buying a game to do stuff that I dislike. In fact, I do think that that kind of behaviour is, well, masochistic. But, to each their own, I guess.

On another note, if doing stuff that you dislike on a video game is 'manning up' to you, well, I'm kinda at a loss for words here.

Well guess what, he was using your example to show how that is not always the case.

So what? Just because Turn10 decided to make their cars with cockpit view have tinted windows, we know that PD didn't do that. That argument makes no sense. You can't use examples from a different game with a different maker. Of course things are different.

If thats the case why even argue GT VS Forza. Like i said man you said Haha because clear windows = cockpit view i was just giving you an example.

Because you can compare which is better, but you can't use one game to show that something is or isn't possible in another.

C'mon man its just a saying whats the big deal Ex if your friend didint want to eat a hot pepper you would say" come on man man up eat it for the team"

Depending on the pepper, I'd be friggin' afraid to eat it :scared: A Habernero would really require someone to man up

On a more serious note, I think the best possibility would be to include an option in the options menu so that everyone would be able to decide whether he wants to see starting grids compromised of both standards and premiums or only one sort of cars.

Not requiring the use of standard cars would probably needed to make that work in the GT Life mode, though.

I don't think comparing standard cars to a hot pepper is helping your cause much...

 What are you talking about man I'm giving him another example of using the word manning up in a joking manner. Im not comparing standard cars to hot peppers. :dunce:

 No doubt. I like that ideal 👍

Forget it :dunce:

Is the dunce smiley for you?
I'm going to explain this.
Goshin said clear windows=premium-cockpit view which is true cause in GT5 only premium cars have clear windows and as far as we know, only those have cockpit view. Then JDM said it's not true since in forza, cars have tinted windows and still have cockpit view.
So tell me, how is that relevant to what goshin said? When talking about GT5 specifically, how does bringing up forza as an example prove anything?

Have you taken like 8th grade english?

Hot pepper is to Standard Cars as Eating is to Playing

You are saying maning up to eat a hot pepper is like manning up to play with standard cars.

Apparently you haven't that sentence is all jacked up. I think you need to chill though man I was just joking with him on the manning up statement.

No, actually it wasn't. I wasn't saying like a teenager. I was using it to mean similar.

An equal sentance would be "Have you take an english class around 7-9th grade?'
But of course, that sounds retarded, so I said what I said.

Because I thought he was saying that because the windows were tinted it couldn't support cockpit view, like it would be too dark. And JDM was saying F3 had dark windows and had cockpit view. Then I said forget it with a ":dunce:" face because I was interperating it wrong.

Exactly and I couldn't careless about other people opinions because im more than satisfied with the standard cars. I feel they look alot better than in GT4 and also insidesim said "standard cars are the same quality as those in GT5P".

I suppose at the end of the day nobody is right because we all enjoy playing racing games for different reasons. My main enjoyments are online i.e racing, hotlapping because Forza might have its faults but FM2 was epic online and has shown me what online racing is all about. Some people on here aren't event planning on playing GT5 online! still thats okay because it illustrates how we shall all enjoy playing GT5 in different ways.

My main point is these days there is so much more to racing games than just pretty graphics and playing offline. Anyone expecting the gameplay of GT5 to be similiar to GT4 is in for a shock because even PD have moved with the times!

OK, great. GT5 is looking great, it has a lot of features, there is a lot more to racing games than just graphics, online racing is great...

I get all that, and I agree, but I fail to see how any of those things are relevant to this discussion. To me it sounds like you're saying that in the grand scheme of things GT5 is a great game and therefore we shouldn't be worried about this particular issue. I agree to a certain extent but even if knowing that, and I believe everyone here does, we still want to talk about it, why can't we?

Exactly... it feels a lot like:

Let's discuss Pizza Huts new sauce and their old sauce

Discussion:

Well their sauces are bad across the board but they have a lot of toppings, some you can't find elsewhere and their crust is DELICIOUS. Plus for the price you get way more food than your average competition.

Result:

WTF we were talking about sauces...
