I'm out of town today and there is a slight chance that i won't make it back in time. I'll let you know if i can't make it and we would have to delay.

Alright people, time to ask a question.
Disclaimer: this is not an engagement just yet, I only want to do an interest check ahead of time.

How many of you guys have moved on to PS4 and would, maybe, if the netcode is solid, be interested in an Assetto Corsa based Zero Cup?

I've haven't got a PS4 yet, but I probably will get one eventually. It's difficult to say what I'll be "driving" at this point but I'm usually up for a race, so I'll definitely look to see what you've got planned nearer the time.

A similar question has been asked over at the Racers Reunited thread and since a lot of us race in both groups it might be worth a read.

I guess the Zero Cup would work in any new title! 👍 (just curious: why not a PCars Zero Cup? :))
A PS4 purchase is on my list, but i'd rather wait a little longer until the unknowns (VR, PS4 NEO, new wheels) have cleared up. If a great online racing club would be in place it would make my decision a lot easier! Let's see what September brings...

Why not Project CARS? Well because it came at a point when I needed to have a break from racing online (note that I've not decided just yet to end that break) and I still haven't done a single online race on it.
It still is too buggy in my opinion (e.g. a few days ago, I went for a quick drive at Monaco in a Caterham Classic and the front of the car just bounced up about a metre high. I was in the middle of the pit straight and the game was a fresh environment - new user - with all settings on default).
The game doesn't inspire me confidence.

Well, I would definitely be up for racing with you guys again 👍
I have the PS4, and plan to get AC on release (for £30 of Amazon its a cheap game!)

My only problem, is somewhat similar to Warrius's. I'm on a break from online, although its through lack of opportunity rather than a conscious choice.
Hopefully life, work and everything else that's up in the air will settle down soon, and I can get things in gear and on track again.

As for PCARS... i just have not clicked with it, I don't get the feel of the cars, and that simple fact the settings list is about as long as Kareem Abdul-Jabbar legs... combined

It kinda puts me off!

Laters

Oh sorry. The FT1 is on the previous page. I think Tarn and myself have missed it and assumed the SLS on the 27th was your next event. It's got a little mixed up since Tarn has posted his next event (20th) after that.

I'm sure we'll all sort it out. ;)

FT1 - 13th
Cappuccino - 20th
SLS - 27th

I have the console but I haven't 'moved on' as such, I still play the PS3 more than the 4.

That would be very nice as the only game I have on the PS4 is Project Cars and I
probably won't be getting Assetto Corsa.

It's been the opposite experience for me personally, I was in a lobby last week with
fifteen other irl drivers and no bugs or glitches at all. I was happily surprised about that.

Isn't AC even more of the same? I know very little about AC but as far as I know it is a ultra-realistic game
with true to life settings in each and every category.

My reply. https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/threads/racers-reunited-where-are-we-going.346862/#post-11415790

Honestly i have no idea about the settings list in AC, and im quite happy with a game being ultra realistic. But with PCARS, i just feel like there is too many settings! Im not talking about car settings, but wheel and "feel" settings.

Plus, I just havent clicked with it, i really do not like the lack of feel I get from the front tyres. I think if im honest i would rather play GT6

Im hoping AC will be different, if that fails though, then my hopes will be with GTS :)
