GT4 Photomode 2.0 Advanced Week 37

Sej, that's hot! Again, one of the best I have seen! It's so crisp and clean, and the colors... WOW! I am once more feeling some inspiration from that. Except, I would hate to do anything similar to what you have done because than I would be copying, but it happens around here. But I will for sure be in this one. I would hate to miss it. I'll see if I can conjure up something brilliant. I finally have time this evening, so, we will see.

I have been ripping out and replacing carpet in my room, (which is in a finished basement) that was flooded by recent storms, so my computer and internet connection have been out of commission for several days, but after seeing Sej's GT-One shot, I am all charged up!

And gabbibyte, that's a great shot too. Nice contrast. Really eye-catching. That's one of the keys.

And Rev, great banners.👍 Thanks for using my drifting Viper shot! They all really look great. And great Zoom blur tutorial as well. And great theme. This may yeild the best shots yet on GTP!

Some beutiful entries but sejtur's entry definetly has the "WOW" factor 👍
Its so crisp and gives the sense of extreme speed. Nice one sejtur!

carboncivic93 and scheper30, they are nice shots but the comp is about photoshop blur. Obviously its up to Rev though.

Yep, rovens is right, carboncivic93 and scheper30, your pictures aren't eligable for this week's competition, you might like to withdraw them and save them for another comp. The theme is PHOTOSHOPPED BLUR, so you need to have added artificial blur in some way in photoshop or another image editing program.
Also, carboncivic93, entries need to be uploaded to Imageshack and then pasted in this thread using the Thumbnail for forums option. Thank you.
 
thanks 440 and franz. there are some amazng entries this week. i should have worked harder for my entry, because it isn't going to be easy

Revs tutorial is awesome, i decided to be different and blur just the car but im thinking i may have to go with something else due to the quality of pics that people are coming up with.

How do you make that selection line go so neatly along the edges of the car? Do you first select an area inside a car and then add other areas to it? I'm using Gimp and Paint.NET and I always found this part the most difficult. :indiff:
 
If there is a polygonal selection tool option, that is much easier to use.

Does Gimp have "path"? I mean the one similar to vector stuff
Paint shop pro has it as well but I don't have time to figure it out yet
but I use path to create selection almost everytime in photoshop
it is more precise and smooth by comparing polygonal lasso tool

anyhow I think I will work on my entry later this friday

@atlop - Yep, I use a polygonal lasso tool, where you place points around the edge of the car, and it sorta joins'em up, if that makes sense...
 
Thanks for the tips guys. 👍 Need to go and check again what tools Gimp has, always used freehand selection before, could not make the others work. :dunce:
 
Don't know if this is any better than my previous entry but I was a little bored tonight (for a change), and made a new final entry... anyway I like it....
