No on seem to be interested so here it is.
and BTW being in div 5 don't need to be ashamed.
here's what I mean:
1-The difference in time between you guys and Div 1 is about 10 seconds or less that means even less between div 2-3 and 4

2-Practice makes perfect: the div 1 and 2 guys are Hardcore and I do mean it. they practice their laps and setups EVERY chance they get. So before a race do a little free runs on the track, improve your lap times. chances are, if you can beat the top 100 times on the chart, you won't stand a chance against GTP tags (in all division). Practice and even if you don't lend a second or third, you feel good knowing that you're 4th or 5th/16 with a
+0'2.00 behind the winner of that races. (well usually you get soooo piissed because the race was soo close and you KNOW that the last turn screwed you up because you were skidding a bit and if only you had.....you know what i mean).

3-Have you ever races against the rest of the world. let me put it frankly. Aside from the "select" few "non GTP" racers out there...the rest.....suck ass. I mean ...they really are bad. let me give you an example. I was racing this guy one day, and we were only two on the track (I was probably the host...) and he was so pathetic that I stopped for him every time he went of the track...or every time i did an ice skating trick. Sent him an email after asking him if he likes Pro ice skating. And he actually said yes !

NOW introduce yourselves and get ready to get your ass served...err I mean get ready to race.:sly:

I was JUST going to start this thread as a division 5 racer... AHhahaAHAH but you beat me to it!!

Hey Guys, after finally being able to put together a full lap with all tires on track I submitted my time.Didnt really try to put up a top 100 time & be in a division with out of there mind fast drivers.Im sure everyone in our division is very capable of so much better.Matter of fact I've raced several of them & I KNOW they are.💡

Same here. Just wanted to submit a time and wasn't looking to set the world on fire. Wanted to make sure I stayed in the Registry. I very rarely, well never actually race on Pro physics. I guess I should start and get moving up the divisions.

Guess I'd better say something about myself too. Live in Toronto but come from Birkenhead in the UK. Work for a wine agency in Toronto doing office based things. Been driving GT since day one on the Playstation. Thought I was good until I actually raced online with GT5:P

HMMmmMmM... I guess I'll start off by introducing myself....

27 yrs. old
half Thai/half Dutch
Reside in Amsterdam
Grew up in Tampa, FL and moved back here at the age of 16.
I am now working as a Logistics Manager at a software company called ZyLAB.
Ive been playing GT since GT1.... Always with a controllers but recently switched to a DFP.

For the rest Im looking forward to racing with everyone!! It should be fun! See you on the TRACKS!

Let's keep in mind that the GTP registry is populated with some of the best GT5P drivers in the world. At least 300 of the top 1000 (F430/Suzuka) times in the world were posted by members of this registry.

I am not ashamed to be D5. I only ran 20 or so laps and then submitted my time. I just don't have the patience to run hour after hour trying to put up a number.

About me: 45 Electrical Engineer. The PS3 is the first game console I've ever owned, and GT5P is the only game I have played on it. (I have played RPGs on the PC from time to time.) I started playing GT5P about 2 months ago and cleared S class in about 2 weeks. I've been racing online for only about 2 weeks in the intermediate races. I have to agree that the general skill level is pretty low. I hardly ever come in worse than 3rd in an online race, and I am certainly not that good.

I look forward to racing against other GTP drivers. Maybe we can schedule an online race or 2 while we wait for the "official" racing to start.

Glad to be here with you all and looking forward to some very competitive racing once organized events begin. On a personal note, I'm 39 and work in the steel fabrication industry in Birmingham, Alabama (USA). I've been playing GT on and off since GT1 using a controller but recently purchased a G25 and an Obutto to add to the experience. I just want to compete with other like-minded racers who don't take themselves too seriously. The key to enjoying this experience is to remember that we are here for fun. It's a game. It's supposed to be fun. To me fun is defined as having competitive races while showing the proper respect to fellow racers.

I don't mind being Bronze D5. It's my fault for submitting my second lap, haha.

I'm 17, and I use a Sixaxis, although I'm planning on getting a DFGT eventually. I've been playing GT for a handful of years, ever since a friend let me borrow his copy of GT3.

I'd say i'm not much of a hardcore gripper but I manage to get the line I like & win at times when servers want me too. :) Hehe. But yea, it's all about the fun to me, even though it get's frustrating trying to beat your own time. Hopefully I get to meet most of you guys out on the track.

Good work guys 👍

As I made it to 4th spot in Div5 - Gold, I guess I'm only about .1xx away from making it to Div4  but I tried REALLY hard and couldn't get any faster. The combination of PRO mode with the controller (no wheel) and the twisty Ferrari was just too much ...

I am a long-term GT4 WRS resident and do quite some work in maintaining the leaderboard. After talking to Luxy we now have a leaderboard for Prologue WRS as well, tho it will be a lot of handwork as Prologue WRS will be much more crowded than GT4 WRS.

I am 46, live in the Netherlands and work as a cook after making a huge switch from office work a couple of years ago.

Hey count me in just let me know:idea: Every one needs to be on each others friends list on PS3 so whenever were online together we can put something together.

Added you! See ya online :)

I really hope GT5 eventually implements a friends time attack listing. It's way more fun to compare times with people close to you then just look at the global board.

Any of the top players still use controller? I don't plan on buying a wheel, it's too much trouble.

Look forward to racing, feel free to add me :)

Hi guys, I'm the second one from the bottom. :sly:

Like many of you guys here, I hadn't driven much on GT5P, or the track, car, mode, and didn't really apply myself on top of everything. I am ashamed though, I actually consider myself a Gran Turismo fan. :ouch:

Anyway, just wanted to say "hi". :)

Hey Divsion 5 lets get some conversation going ... Looks like no one cares in this division.... like this is the sunday drivers division or something... LOL Anyway wheres the rest of the division members??? dont feel like introducing yourselves or making some appointments to race, so we can guage the field a little bit??!?! :) 👍 I'm usually racing suzuka nowadays... in a Mine's mostly... if I'm not playing with my GTP tag that means I'm probably playing with friends who are also driving... so if you notice crappy driving under my normal PSN name... then its probably a friend driving :) when I'm on the GTP tag its for real though... then its only me driving!

Feel free to add me guys, although I'm not always on my PS3 (with work, school, and now Spore taking up a lot my time). I'm not a very good racer and I dislike the car/track combo for the qualifier. I mostly prefer racing lower hp cars, which once the full game is released I hope to find some good 200hp FWD car battles.

I dislike the car/track combo for the qualifier.

I love Suzuka, but that F430 on S3 tires... That's too much like work, and I already have a job. :yuck:

So, since nobody else has any suggestions I'll suggest that we get together at Suzuka 700PP Intermediate on the :00 :15 :30 :45
.

Well, well, looks like someone here is hardcore! :P I can't remember how many laps I did, but it was single digits, for sure. Plus, the sports tires on pro physics are unbearable.

I did about 10 laps then went to do something else. I knew after 10 laps of very consistent times things weren't going to get any better.

Hi all. Yeah i think this would be a good idea. Many games already implement this.

About me anyway:

I'm 29, from Tamworth in the UK. Drive lorries for a living. My girlfriend can't believe that i spend 9hrs driving a day then come home and drive for hours on GT5:P lol!

I wasn't too surprised i ranked only in division 5, but like someone else mentioned in this thread, i should've really done more than 10 laps. I prefer to drive RWD cars mostly, and add to that i'd just got a new DFGT wheel which i was just getting used to.

I suppose i should've done my hot lap with the pad but i didn't want to go back to that whilst i was still trying to get used to my wheel.

Anyway, that's my excuses out the way. :sly:

Look forward to meeting you all online. Maybe we could try and organise a race together. Anyone feel free to add me too

Peace out

The Stalker

Same here. My 2nd lap was my fastest and I just couldn't get near it again. As long as I remained on the registry was my only aim.

Hmmmm I bet those times are crowded... maybe we should take some odd times.... like :02 :17 :32 :47..... then its most likely only people from the division... and some others... :) No Pro? Intermediate is fine... but I reckon the races are going to be Pro or not?

OK those times work for me. So the times will be:

:02 :17 :32 :47

Suzuka 700PP

Want to make it easy to find...

re: pro vs. std

This division is obviously where the least experienced members are. I understand the "hardcore" attitude of this forum, but let's leave egos out of D5. I expect most D5 members will be more comfortable with std physics, at least to start off.

Ok, no problem, but I have been driving Pro physics since I got the game... so it'll probably be a breeze then :) lol I'll be racing in the evening when I get home from work! See ya online... I'll add you on my PS3 as well!

What up guys, A few of you have raced me online and I recognise a few of you guys. Can't wait to get the racing on for this division. I have been off doing other things then racing online, so I will be back at it soon : )
