Raced somebody named GTP_AZ_Hot_Rod a few minutes ago in the 700pp Suzuka race. I don't see that name in the registry for any division.

Hello,
I won't make excuses,I use MOMO wheel and tried like hell but i could not get any faster.
It will be fun to race you guys but my ps3 getting repaired (wouldn't read any disc) so hope it won't take to long to be back on the track with you all.

Yeeha,

Finally Sphinx added me. Here's another Division 5 gold driver.
Don't like the F430, but tried anyway and here I am.

I'm a 40 year old grumpy man from the most southern point in Holland, who likes to race. In real life as well on GT5P ( on GT5P it's actually much cheaper and as much fun also )

Tried the sixaxis at first , but traded that in for a G25 wheel. Much better now.

I'm mostly on Suzuka 750 pp no LM online with a blue Mits Evo X tuned (4WD).
As a RWD I like the Lotus Elise 111R (white) , followed by a tuned Vette ( also white ).

Hope to meet a lot of Div 5 members on Suzuka (:02 ,:17; :32; :47) to have some nice, heavy but for all clean races.

Bryan

Hi Bryan,

Hope to meet you on the track soon. Nice to see more fellow Dutchmen around on GTP 👍 especially in my own division :)

Hi guys,
I'm looking forward to racing with you all - unfortunately I'm loaded with work these days and can't get online. But in a near future I'll be there. Big fan of the GT series and has been a dedicated player since the beginning. Thought I had some skills to show off when GT finally went online, but instead, as with any other game, I very quickly realized that the world is packed with superhumans. I just praise the fact that GT is great fun no matter your lap times - what matters is a close race, and THAT I'm sure we will have B-)

I didn't expect much from my time. I just remembered I had to do the qualifier so I did 5-8 laps and most of them I didn't complete lol. I kept trying to push the F430 in the corners =P. I thought I was pretty good, guess not, oh well.

I haven't been on my PS3 for about 2-3 weeks. I'll try to go on this weekend, chances are small though. I'm a bit busy with school, 2 jobs, and friends.

Cool man!! lotsa Dutchmen here on GTP!! :) AMSTERDAM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 020!! LOL ;)

hey all fellow division 5 racers. hope you could help me out, i tried to find out what pus us in the different divisions, (obvious the times) but i could not find a table anywhere, would like to se my times against the other divisions, and others in the same division, hope someone can answer me

Times have not been and will not be posted or discussed. That's the rule.

The best you can do is compare your time to the top 100 online.

At the beginning of the thread it says the difference is about 10 sec with Div.1.... So I guess that gives you a rough estimate... no exact times anywhere to be found :(

OK, now I feel like a complete tool.

Here are the requirements for the qualifier:

Standard clean OLR rules apply:
-2 wheels on (or vertically in line with) the track at all times
-rumble/ripple strips are part of the track
-no contact with walls or objects, visible or invisible
-if you're not 100% sure that your lap is clean, then consider it dirty

So in my feeble mind I was thinking 4 wheels on track at all times. I wasn't using as much of the track as I should have because I was paranoid of dropping a tire off track.

Oh well, live and learn.

It's easy to check where you are personally to the top online times, which are clearly D1G times. And it's obvious that all drivers above you in the registry are faster than you are.

Of course our times in the qualifier are not important now that we are classified. There are no do-overs.

I kept the car on the track the whole time, if I was really driving a Ferrari around the course I wouldn't be offroading the thing. If that makes me slow then so be it.

where is the leaderboard for the first event ? they closed my thread for lap times, but where can i find the leaderboard, or dont that come up before the event is closed ? they told me to post my times here, and check the leaderboard ??

Hello D5. Unfortunately, my submitted time is an accurate display of my abilities with the 430 on that track. For the longest time I held out on joining the GTP_Registry (really don't know why) and when I did, I had to CRAM for a test :( Being used to the all out speed of HSR 800 in a Tuned Vette, I was truely out of my element in the 430 on crap tires :(

I look forward to improving and being in good company with other drivers with similar abilities.

If you're playing the NTSC version, feel free to send me a friend request, hopefully we will see each other on the track.

Sorry mate but you misunderstood. The board will be published from the Race event thread soon, so keep coming there and please do post new lap times there also 👍

Treed

If you want your time on the leaderboard post it in the original race thread.

We can discuss times here but Bigracer needs the times posted in the ot to be on the leaderboard. He can't root through multiple threads looking for times.

No problem.

The leaderboard is now published in the race thread together with some guidelines. Please read.

I've missed this thread somehow. Anyway, anyone in D-5 that wants to add my GTP_FoolKiller PSN to their friends list feel free to do so.

Only add my other one if you have other games that you expect to play me in. My GTP_ account is devoted soley to GT5P.

Don't feel bad. I have so much trouble in high-powered MR cars and Suzuka combined that dropping any wheels off the track would have likely resulted in a spin.

I need to sit down one night and start adding some of these names to my friends list.

Hope some others here are enjoying stage 1 as much as I am. I never thought I would enjoy driving something that old. But, it's a blast.

It is comments like this that make me hope we get some compact car races down the line. Too many people complain about the number of non-new, non-super powered cars in GT, but then you find they have only ever driven briefly, if at all.

Art Morrison Corvette is fun to throw around Daytona, but its not very forgiving... I'm trying to hold out as long as possible before I desparately turn on some TCS.... AHHAhah Without TCS its a blast to drive but one little mistake or one slight touch of the grass and bye bye you go... :P Oh well, looks like I will have to add some TCS later though... havent made a clean race yet without it... :P always end up messing up somewhere along the line .. but ONE day, I will manage to complete a race without spinning out, hopefully before the deadline.. LOL

Would you mind expanding on this a bit? Thanks.

There are a number of people who complain about not having Lamborghini, but having the option to drive a Demio, or an old car, or a one-off car, or a concept. Basically, some people just want high-powered cars and when you try to explain to them that the slower and/or unique cars are also just as fun they tend to not have driven them outside of races that require them against an AI.

I on the other hand love arranging under 100hp car races, or wagon races, or whatever oddity we can come up with. Going head-to head in something that isn't a mighty powered supercar that can be tuned up to well over 200mph is a lot of fun, but a lot of people never try it and then complain about the number of cars that aren't like that.

I wasn't trying to accuse you of anything, just that you didn't think you would enjoy the old car and found that you do. I hope we see a wide variety of cars so that anyone who hasn't considered the wide range of cars love to drive them. I was using your comment as an example of what these events can do to help some people enjoy the game even more than they already do.

Mainly I like that because I love driving the GTI around and would love an expert level online race for smaller cars. If I want to race a GTI online I usually get stuck with only one beginner race option, if that. There have been a few occasions, but not enough.

Hey what's up Division 5!! Was browsing around just now, and didn't know about this thread. Sorry that i'm a bit late. Will start adding you guys when I get home today after work. Looking forward to some good racing as well!

Feel free to add me ... GTP_Pakalolo77

Catch you guys online!

Ahhhh, good point FoolKiller. I think I would enjoy some events requiring non-mainstream cars as well. Even though my times for the Stage 01 event aren't great, I'm proud of them and had fun achieving them. I may not make the cut for Stage 02. But, still I gave a reasonable effort considering the amount of free time I have for gaming. In the process I discovered what a hidden jewel the AM Vette can be.

I wouldn't go as far as saying I would like to drive some events in sub-100hp cars. But, I would enjoy an expert level event where I could use my Honda Integra or other cars in that performance range.

Whats up all ? Glad to be here with you, looking forward to the events, want to wish everybody good luck out there, looking forward to racing all of you.

I've raced a lot of people here in this entire forum and all are good, and all can be beaten,I have done it,so can you,it's nothing to look down upon being in D-5. ( in my estimation 8 - 10 seconds or less ??? ) All it takes is for one little miscue, bump, slid off track, the dreaded punt, and "presto" we have a new leader, winner. So keep the heads up,go out there and grind it out with the best of them, and you WILL find your name on the top of the screen.

Feel free to add me to friends list on game via messenger or here in this forum. Once again , good luck out there , lets go guys, pull out a can of whoop a** against the punters, show them what " clean " racing is all about !!!!!!!

"GTP_JWLennon" is the account I use most , my 2nd account is "ImagineByLennon"
