Hey guys. I have a feeling I punted both GTgenius and Appie even though I was a good meter away from the cars at least. I never actually collided myself, but i have a feeling i may have punted both of you due to the lag bubble. I waited for GTgenius and braked a couple of gears for Appie when I was chasing down genius.
 
Not bad, got punted at the start abd spun 3 times. I could have gone on the podium, but oh well...Great race and grats for the winner:tup:
 
I had a poor race tbh lol. For some reason in qualifying I kept spinning so I started right at the back of the grid! Then on the first corner I went in, my brakes failed and I smacked someone up the back, I waited for them, then realised that I had lost my front wing. I managed to get a new front wing and from there on I tried to do as much as I could to get into a good place, but the track was slippery and I was spinning everytime I accerlerated!
This seemed to calm down after the first stop and I managed to get myself 5th and not too far behind Appie or GT4Genius, I couldn't remember which one. Anyways I was about 10-15 second behind them and I was lapped by Gyles :(

Punted at the start? Oh that wasn't me. I saw you spinning weirdly at turn one and thats when I thought I had punted you. Phew, I'm relieved I didn't because I thought I was nowhere near your car. I thought I may have punted genius at the final turn when I overtook him and thats why I waited for him on the main straight, but perhaps he just spun as well.
 
Good race everyone. I think I might of accidentally brake tested someone in the first corner, I had to stand on the brake so as not to hit Shaggy and then I heard shattering behind me, not too sure who it was though. Just one other close encounter, I spun at that S just at the start of sector two and as soon as it spins Shaggy comes round heading straight for me I sort of reverse uncontrollably out of his way then I start to come out of the spin and Appie turns the corner heading for me as well. I just threw the car into the gravel and then decided to point it in the right direction when it was safe!

The finishing order was:

1) Fishfash
2)Shaggy Alonso
3)GT4genius
4)Appie
5)Kakundoo

Fishfash had the fastest lap of 1.29.6 I think.
 
No, I wasn't punted, but after that performance I need to find out why I was sliding everytime I touched the accerlerator, then I need to put some good practice in for Sepang and hope for a much better result.

Also, I think that it would have been a much better race if I hadn't had such a poor qualifying and start, as I would have been able to keep with GT4Genius and Appie.

Ok, sounds good, I'll get on with updating the tables then.

For NTSC: I won't be updating the tables till late tomorrow probably, because your race takes place while I'm asleep - just in case you're wondering.
 
Good race for me guys, I was absolutely on the limit throughout the entire race. Was pushing hard with no penalty's and just 2 small mistakes.

I think I did a 1:29.680 or a 1:29.618 for the fastest lap. :crazy:

No hard feelings but I think you did. 👍 I couldnt drive properly when you were right behind me, all I could do was keep looking back. I think I slowed too much into that corner as well. Thanks for waiting, I lifted going down the straight too because I think you penalised yourself a bit too much that time by stopping on the straight.

@ Kakundoo: By what your saying about your bakes and spins it sounds as though you brake balance and traction control settings might have been a bit odd. Were they both at 2 and 3?

BTW as soon as qualifying started I went back to the lobby strangely, by the time I got back I only had time for 1 lap and I was in the Red Bull, didnt effect me too badly but still annoying.

I'm not sure about my traction control, but whatever it was I will sort it out, otherwise I might as well quite now haha.

@ Fishfash: What do you mean you hope to finish in the points? Not only are there only like 7-8 drivers in the PAL race, with only 4-5 consistent drivers, meaning its hard not to score points, but you are one of the best on here, clearly haha.

I just checked the hot laps times for Bahrain, and you guessed it, Fishfash was faster again!!!!👍

Oh well you weren't here for Malaysia last season! He did win but only just, he needed a guide dog to help him find the pits every time. :lol: If I remember right.

I know insane, I kept up with him for about 2 laps and then he just faded into the distance. He finished almost a minute ahead of me. I spun twice near the start and stopped on the main straight to let Genius past, still error free I still would have finished a good 45 seconds behind him.

My best lap was a 1:31.8 I think.

Oh please, you will annihilate us again! Maybe not to the extent of Bahrain, but still by a good bit. GT4 is your most likely challenger as I positively suck on this circuit. It and Interlagos I would consider to be my 'bad tracks'.
 
Well I really like Interlagos tbh, I didn't when I was young though.
Anyways, with some of the top contenders not being great at this track, I think I will stand a chance as, although it is not my favourite track, I am reasonably good, enough to be in with a chance at some good points....hopefully :D.

Edit: BTW, how is everyone at Monaco?

Oh, and Sureshot, I think its normally 2 pit stops, though 1 pit is possible with some economical driving.

Edit: Oh, and randomly I just checked my post count: this is my 1,999th post on GTPlanet woot :P
Oh, and I'm decent at Monaco, Kak. Though last time we raced it with heavy rain with only a few of us racing, so I don't know how I truly match up to the rest there (plus ive improved methinks since then).

LOL Ardius, I think you should wait for a few more races before turning on the rain, unless we can have a vote for which tracks will have light rain / heavy rain this season ?

Man what a harrowing experience!! :dunce: I had family over and they wanted to see GT5, so I was a tad late to the room (sorry guys). Then I get kicked out to the lobby as it starts for Quali! Now the game is Frozen!:ouch: :crazy: :scared:

So I restart the whole PS3 and then I get in and late join will not light up. Then it finally did and I got plopped in 22nd place right behind speed (iirc) on the first lap.

Ended up running a perfect race, kept lapping 1:33.5ish though, 2 good stops and only one moment with Daddy Vdub I think, when I went wide into turn 8 and came back on track as he passed. Somehow I managed to work up to 8th and snag that last point.

Great race Mofongo, 👍, everyone else too.
 
How about the Big One in Turn one? :crazy:

I would have had a good finish were it not for a accidental impersonation of Bigfoot on my part on JWLennon's car later on on that same lap. I lost the front nose wing and all hopes of a good finish.:guilty:

At least I did improve since the first time I raced. Today, I got lapped by only 1 car.:D
 
Well,race 1 brought us a turn 1 melee,don't have any clue what happened,other than seeing smoke,parts were flying everywhere,and got rearended and totaled (LOL),after all the smoke,cars cleared,it went pretty smooth.The game lagged a few times causing a few issues that I saw,wrecks and spinoffs,anybody else see or feel this ?

Turn 1 wreck someone crashed me and did not wait,was only a bad left rear wheel so i couldnt go it was'nt bad enough to respawn so i had to crash myself to get respawn. pretty well rest of way except for once I slid my teammate off sorry lenno. We will all get better. At end of race I could'nt see results game froze. Also a couple of times it said Lofasz was off line then online I dont know,just wierd at end.

The extra is Formulanone
