Wow what a race and congrats to Shaggy đź‘Ť

I had a great start and was leading over GT4 genius & Shaggy. When I started to approach a few back markers they did not know I had the glitch and I ended up in the wall so as to avoid them and not to crash into them :nervous: I then tried to lap Ardius later on and hit his back wing so I decided to wait, by then Shaggy had gone past and I was in catch up mode.

I pushed like an absolute lunatic lapping in the high 1:29's and saw Shaggy go into the pits. I had an extra lap of fuel and as I came out of the pits we were side by side and Shaggy did an excellent move around the outside. I stayed behind but was never going to pass as there was some excellent defending there. đź‘Ť

Pitty you two couldn't have had your wheel to wheel moment a few laps earlier because at that time I was catching you two hand over fist. Doubt I'll ever get as close to you again Gyles. :indiff: I'll have my DFGT for the next round so dont expect too much from me then.

Also just to mess things up a bit, I wont be able to make Sunday nights race. :guilty:

Fortunately, no, this glitch isn't too commonplace, although I know for 100% certain that it always happens at the Nurburgring.

Indeed he did, I appreciated it fishfash, but you really didn't need to, I think it was my mistake more than yours.

Obviously it was the lag bubble then LewyOs, but you probably should have waited, everytime someone went off in front of me I waited for them.

Also, when LewyOs did take me off, i got an 8 sec penalty for a large corner cut!

We were side by side through turn 10 I believe, I braked early for turn 11, as to allow you plenty of room, and I saw you run wide through turn 12.

Edit: I also won't be able to make next sunday night, any chance we can make it slightly earlier?

Yes, it can be made earlier, but it needs to be agreed to by the majority.

Only next Sunday, but then by the 8th of February i wont be able to make any Sunday night races, or at least it'll be very unlikely. Sorry guys, Sunday seems to suit most people so dont just change it on my account.

Suede53 is going to taking up the other Lofus seat for tonight's race, so you lot should have a full grid tonight.

That was heart in mouth stuff mate. I didn't think my manouvre would come off and knew if it didn't we would crash. Seriously, I don't think i've ever had more fun in a computer game, ever. Those last 5 laps seeing you all over my rear wing, my heart was honestly pounding lol! I knew, outright pace wasn't the most important thing in that situation, it was more just keeping your line and not making any mistakes. Terrific racing.

Great racing there, if it wasn't for rain we could have gone wheel to wheel down most corners. Impossible to see anything with the rain, especially when we are few inches apart đź‘Ť

Yep would have been good to have a 3 way battle. I bought my wheel at the start of season 1. By the time we got to the end of the championship I was then comfortable with the wheel.

Yep, watch out for the Nurburgring, most likely to happen to the pole guy. Sorry about the crash I wasn't sure if you were letting me past and I took the gamble :yuck: We can blame the glitch :)
 
Earlier on a Sunday night is a bit tricky for me. Suggest how much earlier though. If we move next weeks race. I'm not fussed about Friday, Saturday or Monday night. Pile of assignments means I'm confined to the house anyway!

Yeah, no problem, I had no idea you were there, I had noticed you catching me up on the map, but after the last few corners of the previous lap, I had been focusing on appie just ahead of me that I never thought of checking the map or my mirrors again, so by the first corner you had caught me up and I had no idea and attacked the corner like normal.
But you know I'd let you through anyway, so no hard feelings. :)

You did get very close to overtaking me I seem to remember at turn 11. I got a bad exit through the turn 9+10 chicane and I could see that you were just about close enough to pass and I was just waiting for you to sail through at t11 but it never came much to my relief! You were pushing like a lunatic weren't you? lol! It was like getting chased down by a dog with rabies trying to bite you, scary stuff.

Oh yes turn 11, I bottled it and changed my mind, I think I actually overtook you there and you overtook me back. As Murray Walker used to say, "Catching is one thing and passing is another"
 
Right, im off for some sleep and then back to uni in the morning. As such, don't expect the tables to be updated till tomorrow evening.
And as a reminder for any NTSC drivers who may be wondering (because I don't expect everyone to read the PAL chatter for the race):
The 2 race seats at Lofus will be filled by Z and Suede53 temporarily for tonights race.
 
I can still make the sunday night race :D!
Oh and please don't move this race to saturday, i'm going to my mates bday party on sat and it would be a bit unfair if i had to miss a race because of that :(.

Also, LewyOs, you definitly did hit me due to the lag bubble, i even felt the knock, it wasn't a driver error, that's for sure. Especially since I have been racing at that circuit since I was 4 (I wasn't very good then though lol) and I have NEVER been off at that part of the circuit, including in the rain.

How would people feel to Sunday at around 6pm GMT?

Kakundoo, it may well have been the lag bubble, but from what I saw, I was not near enough to you, to force you off, hence why I didn't wait, we were both side by side through turn 10, the fast left before the chicane, I then broke early since I was on the outside and you went through on the inside, then saw you go off.

What wheel do you use may I ask fishfash?

Man, This race was crazy. Never have I pushed so much. Great race everyone. Sorry if I hit anybody, I've tryed to keep a safe distance on any car in front of me. And Lennon, again thanks for giving me room, much appreciated đź‘Ť
 
Great race everyone. I was P5 to start right behind doctorben and Daddy to the left. I brake in Time for T1 only to see doctorben get punted hard and everyone is involved except me and (i think) racecar. Then he was ahead of me both putting in good laps for a while. Then racecar did you crash?

I came up on his car sitting in the middle flashing and as I pass him, he re-appears solid DIRECTLY in front of me. CRAP! I barely brake hard enough to get the red, but not detached wing, and I am not sure if it affects it or not, but my laps were slower until I had a 15 second pit disaster since the sequences were all off. Rest of the race was fairly uneventful. I barely got around Kamakazi once and i think him and doctorben got in a tangle.

Edit: For the bit where doctor ben was trying to catch me before his incident I was putting in almost 1:33 flats. I hadn't done lower than 1:33.5 before tonights race. Thanks for the pressure!

I over cooked the turn and spun. Sorry that happened to you.
 
WOW , is all I can say :nervous::nervous::nervous:.
This race will keep the body shop guys busy for some time to come. :lol:

Racecar , Daddy , Zero , I did all I could to keep out of your way , as I knew you all were fast , hope I gave all enough room.
 
Well at start of race T1 someone bumped me not hard enough for damage, but slid me WAY off into wet grass, man I was cussing. Came out of grass in 10th LAST :ouch: thinking oh great here I go again but never question fate, as I came around on of the right handers it looked like the whole field was in a wreck!! I hit the brakes dodged spinning cars ran over carbon fiber and happily went on my way in 4th. Pretty boring after that just kept my nose clean stayed on track, well until LAST LAP being WAY too careful to bring the Ferrari home in 3rd I over braked a turn and slid off track, but lucky for me 4th was back enough for me to keep position. Had a Blast THANKS GUYS!!:)

Oh and Thanks Lennon for moving over and letting me pass on straight. Class Move.

Bring on Imola,my personal favorite& best Track.

Hey , I was involved in that one :lol: , came around corner ,nothing but a sea of mist and rain , had no clue where to go , could not see anything , then , KABOOM :ouch: , got rearended and shoved into the pile of carbon fiber , wings , tires , all sorts of car parts , the wall does not give very much either :lol: . But yes , a lot of cars were involved in that one ,( the big one ) , overall still a good race.
 
Pretty fun, but I had a bad feeling being on pole. I thought I'd just take my qualifying line into turn one, so I slowed up early for a good exit onto the straight, but that only resulted in my getting rear-ended. Got pretty pissed at the whole situation and ruined my concentration for the race. I'd look up at the map and see how far I was behind someone only to look back up and miss an apex and get the resulting penalty. Shook all that off by my first stop, but it was too late.

Sorry about our collision, Lennon. I think you broke late thinking I might rear-end you in the draft at turn one, but I was braking very early. Gave me a great entry speed into the corner and into your gearbox. :/
