I honestly could care less about logos and designs. I'm more of a function over form kind of guy. Well in a sense anyways... I just want to be able to interchange body parts with aftermarket parts for aero purposes. Buying certain company cars is cool but I like to mix it up. Not just one company has everything if you know what I mean. I guess if they don't have it in this is will def. be in the next though... 10 years from now anyways.

I think the same except I will go one further and say I'm also not that bothered about about weather, tyre marks, reverse lights, sctratches on damage vehicals, all I'm interested in now is how they will go about tuning & using the body kits like on tuned cars on GT5P... and the release date obviously.

Me Want Livery Editor and Aerodynamic Modifications.

Seriously, every game has that Nowadays and Gran Turismo Had it in the PSone Era, now that we have the Mighty PS3, why cant we have Exterior Modifications?

My main hope is for rain and snow - specifically rain. ;)

A wind tunnel area for testing the aerodynamics of the vehicles would be awesome if included! 👍

I really don't see the point of a comprehensive wind tunnel. I'm not sure if we really need to measure the downforce of a tail setting to the pound. I mean, if it's in, nice, but I'm just not seeing the awesomeness of it. Used car lots and race mod with a livery editor, however... GIVE MEE!

Maybe with the tram scene , the air tunel is an new dynamic photomode scenery?

Falling snow/rain will make Gran Turismo 5 exponentially better. It would make the cock-pit view exponentially harder, but it will be very realistic. I'm a fan of the outside view, but I'd be tempted to take on the challenge of driving the Ring during snowfall or during a torrential thunderstorm. I'd LOVE a midnight race during a thunderstorm. Can you imagine how awesome it would be to see lightning light up the sky and have rain drenching the track? Amazing.

The wind tunnel idea isn't bad, but GT already has performance tests.

Just slightly off topic, i was in Morrisons car park yesterday ( for at least 2 hours mind ), i decided which car could be made into a rally car, who else has done this besides me ?.There were quite a lot of candidates then.

SrRd RacinG, great thead.. In 6 days, keep it very updated and you will have the most epic thread of the month!

By the way, what you think will be the one most biggest surprises for GT5 news? Only pic one

Let's just hope we all don't get too dissapointed. The expectations of some are very high, and there based on so little things. We know so little about this game that it can go either way.

I don't expect:
- weather changes
- better sound
- skidmarks
- damage on all cars
- heavier visual damage then Gamescom Subaru rallycar
- advanced livery editor
- more than 60 tracks

For me biggest one, is not DAMGE.. ok maybe INTERNAL DAMAGE..

But my ultimate one is the DAY and NIGHT live in game cycle.. I am tired of doing endurance racing in one minute sun setting. It gets boring quickly, adding day, evening, night and morning will freshen it up. Driving in the morning and get blinded by the sun on a turn or two will be epic!

Thanks, man, I do appreciate it.

You ask a great question. You see, I have an ideal Gran Turismo 5 in my head, but I realize that it probably won't translate in the real world. It consists of a livery editor, the addition of Porsche, day/night cycles+dynamic weather, reverse lights, skid marks, damage on all vehicles, etc, etc, etc, etc. But again, just a fantasy.

However, if I had to pick one big announcement or advancement, I'd be most inclined to say there will be day/night cycles+ dynamic weather. Not only does this mean that endurance races will be more realistic, but I think (hope) that PD may try to incorporate the "day" counter with the weather. Therefore, if it's sunny on day one at Laguna Seca, on day 3 the game will have that track programmed as severe rain. Now, as you move along in the game and it's day 345, you may find the weather in the Monterrey (where Laguna Seca is), it will be colder because winter sets in. This can be epic because it will be like a real-life calendar and the seasons will affect the tracks settings for places all across the globe.

I have little doubt that there are going to be several big surprises, at least for us GT fans. While I expect the ones I'm anticipating to be adjustable driver views, Race Mod and Livery Editor, a very mature damage build somewhere between Forza and GRID, dynamic weather and real time day/night cycles which can be synced to real track conditions, Season and Career Modes, extensive Photo and Movie mode options, upgrades taken from real world auto companies from tires to turbos, a surprise inclusion from a certain car company or two, and a wealth of new tracks both real life and taken from all GT games...

I expect a release date earlier than anticipated.

Kazunori won't have played all his aces yet in order to make TGS a truly spectacular unveiling, so I expect a number of goodies to blow us away.

Bold=I agree and I like!

Great post, Tenacious.👍 You're right, surprises will pop up! Are you expecting Porsche and Maserati? If not, which two are you expecting or are you merely expecting a surprise?

I'm just hoping and preying that we are not too let down by TGS. I prefer to be a bit pessimistic and think about the minimum we can hear: for example just the release date and improved damage model with no word on any of the other advancements we are hoping for, so that I will be completely astounded when Yamauchi surprises us in the most spectacular way about the features GT5 will have.

And I changed my mind over what would be the "Big Surprise." Yes, I'm going out on a limb and thinking both Porsche proper, not RUF though that would be just fine, as well as Maserati will be in. Turn 10 could have done another "one year 'exclusive'" deal with Porsche again, but here's hoping.

However, I'm not sure what in our lists would count as the biggest surprise. I think the biggest surprise would be the one I switched to, that the release date is earlier than December sometime. I think even being released Thanksgiving week, the last week in November for you non-Americans, would be news. But I'm thinking even earlier than that.

At least i got the new Porcupine Tree album to relax a bit before i explode in hype....
Oooh... you like them too? Very good group.

I am hoping they reveal it on day one, or else it will be 6-8 days from now. Also, I envision tons of information coming in after TGS. You know, interviews, videos and the like. That's normal, though.

In 12 hours I'll be in Mexico with my GF...

I hope I get my hands on her laptop next thursday!!

Besides I think about GT5 too much now, ever day I check this site, I get both happy and pissed off about features and what not.. I hope the trip will calm my thoughts down and once I log in Next Thursday I will see good news!

See you Thursday! Hope PD won't disappoint me

Well if weather isn't announced I shall be sending a strongly worded email to play magazine. In the last issue they confirmed GT5 will have real time weather changes.

What do you think about having the "day" counter linked to the weather? You know, as the days progress, the seasons progress. Good/bad idea?

The career mode in PGR4 was quite similar to your idea, I believe. I think it is a swell idea. 👍
