Thank you somebody who knows how to read.

Exactly my internet when down for sometime and i could not play the full game, because i was not online.

That happened to me as well for a while. It was because i had DLC installed and in my garage. The game would only start with a new profile. I wasnt too impressed 👎

It'd mention connection somewhere. "Not available in this version" has nothing to do with servers. Error messages aren't cryptic, they serve a purpose.

GTPlanet is one jump to conclusion after another..:guilty:

RDK
no just 4 ...

here is evidence ...

i think its not the final game ...

LOL:ouch:

Could be a cut down demo/preview/beta version.... might explain the weak damage, because there was a note from PD with some versions that explains the full damage system is not in place

Maybe why Sony wanted to delete all the videos... it's giving the game a bad impression....

O now you want to investigate, but when everybody was jumping to conclusion and it was a very few members saying we should wait till we play the game before we judge that cool

Its not hard man it says Its not available in this version

Just like the GT5 demo said.

JDM, i said that so people should relax, its a picture of a message. we dont know the full story and we should investigate it. not jump to conclusions. whats wrong with that?

As I and a couple of others have said, he probably already has the full version. Every full Gt game to date has had an ending movie that you can get to long before you fully complete the game, hell GT3 (or GT4 can't specifically remember which) had two ending movies.

Not being able to access the museum is probably because the museum requires online and PD's GT5 servers to be up and running which probably won't happen until the day or day before release. RDK has already said he gets the same message trying to access other online features.

Not everybody posts on GTP you know. And most likely the other leaks went to soccer moms who has happily wrapped it up for christmas. ;-)

well im not implying that they'd be posting on GTP..but there are countless other gaming websites out there that people are a part of..

something just doesnt seem right...when a highly anticipated game leaks online, it basically goes viral. right now the gt5 leak seems to be contained or at the very least, originate at GTP.com.

Tell me about man pissed me off so bad.

exactly man, I'm just laughing at the people who think they know it all and said This is the final GT5 because i'm watching all the videos

if it says THIS VERSION there must be at least one other version, how the hell can display this as a generic banner or something connected with online or release date?!.. In a generic they would have written "feature non avaiblae.dot", not this version...... (or maybe " Feature not avaibale and no, there isn't another version and yes damage sucks")

This feature is not available in this version
means its not retail version. Its not related to internet or something else. Phew. cant wait to see what retail have.

Wait a minute, I have a review copy of a game which I got by mistake and I played the full version of the game and they were EXACTLY alike. What's the difference normally between a review copy and a full one?

It varies from game to game; in this case, if it's indeed a review copy and isn't linked to the online aspect not being up yet, the differences between review copy and retail are up to PD and/or Sony.

RDK mentioned trying to access the Museum. Prologue's slideshow of interesting info (like the Kubelwagen info) only pops up when you're connected to PSN, so perhaps this is similar. Or it could be a review copy.

The plot thickens...

(NINJA-EDIT) Welp, he says you get the same error message when attempting online, so I'm inclined to believe it's strictly to do with the servers...

There isn't any. A review copy is a retail copy, just provided in advance under a NDA.

That notification screen looks like a photoshop, firstly because the warning triangle isn't in the same perspective as the rest of the image, and second the cursor glow looks a little iffy to me.

That aside, it's either

1) An incomplete "promo copy". But that's unlikely because promo copies don't come with fully printed cases and manuals, and they are also identical to the retail versions in terms of content.

2) He's trying to access an online restricted feature, hence the error.

3) that image is indeed a shop, and this is Sony releasing selected videos from an old build, and now telling us that it's from a "pre-release" stage; ie. viral marketing.

Take your pick.

Sometimes they look exactly the same, other times they are plain disks with the name of the game and often have the words 'Promotional copy, not for resale' some have packaging, while others dont. Review copy always have the same content as the retail version of the game, preview copys often dont:tup:

If RDK has an incomplete version of the game then someone really needs to make a new thread about this so everyone sees it. This is a very big deal. People were freaking out about the quality of GT5 because of the information him and Tekken were sharing with us. Everything they told us about features in the game, we have to ignore now.

I appreciate the videos and screenshots they shared with us, but if they have a beta build, that is bad. We were going off of bad information and a lot of people canceled their pre-orders or got worried about the quality of the game. Bugs and things like that were discovered that might not be in the full version. This is very bad.

Did you read it? IT said not this version if it was an online issue it would of said something about the servers, This message is the same message that comes up in the GT5 demo when you try to click on a dark icon.

Why would you print a beta version and box it with all the literature?

I am sticking with maybe Spec I, Spec II, Spec III, etc for versions via download like GT5P. My previous post was buried a few pages ago though...

Anyways it's just a thought.

Forget about the money but the worst thing is, you´ve played for hours to finish the license tests and if this is not the full version, you wasted a lot of time :/

Damage looks fine to me!

I was just thinking about the damage too. It definitely looks like it is toned down in the recent leaks. However, the sound was much improved compared to the demos and Kaz previuously said that we wouldn't hear the sound improvement until we had the game in our PS3. It's strange all around.

I guess one way to tell if the online is working could be if the dlc code for the chromeline cars works or not. Have you tried downloading the chromeline cars as I can see you have a dlc code for them.
