You have to change them back to not adding them up.. Like the ones posted around you 👍

No there is no mistake, it's just that because of the way the splits are shown in GT5, we had to calculate ourselves. But now you only need to enter the time of the each sector and you'll be fine.

Is it possible to be considered 'off track' between the 1st and second tunnels at any point?
I'm trying to get a clear shot as we speak, but I'm specifically speaking of the slight left hand turn, that separates the 2 tricky rights. I'm staying as close to the wall on the left as I can, and it almost appears that you can fit a car width between the wall and grass, but it's very close. I need a slow motion camera, or at least the option to rewind and fast forward. Looking at you PD!!!
I'll try to get a picture, but I'm not positive I know how to upload it from my ps3 to my computer.

Alright, few more laps this evening and like most people now I'm starting to see some slight improvements, in all splits. Slight being the operative word. But man, finding whole seconds in splits is going to be terribly hard, but oh so fun.

T1: 16.295
T2: 25.763
T3: 21.475

Ok, edited for my last laps of the night, still shaving :dopey:

T1: 16.282
T2: 25.646
T3: 21.206

I'm really not that fast at Trial Mountain..this is a tough course/car combo for me :P

On closer examination, for all those who may be in the same boat, it is in fact possible to be entirely off the track, without touching the wall. Dirty lap is dirty :( I would have never even assumed it was possible, until I was chasing my ghost and noticed how close it was to being off the track. I honestly felt it was a clean lap prior to in depth examination. Even on the replay I couldn't tell until I got to the perfect pause position.

Updated ones for me. Still having trouble putting them all together........

15.846
25.522
21.061

I think that there may be some dirty/dusty concrete between the white line and the dirt, making the run legal. You can see at the bottom left of the first picture that it appears to be still tarmac for another tyre width or so.
Definitely one for the all knowing race admins to verify

Adrenaline, isn't that still road material to the left of the line?

The dust does not get kicked up from the wheels, so my guess is it is road material.

Would need a ruling on that from the team to be 100% sure. I had 3 wheels drop over it, but I beat that ghost about 10 minutes later so wasn't worried.

There is a clearly a dirty looking hard surface there in between the white line and the actual dirt. And all hard surfaces are track.

I think the better question would be, how possible is it to be that far off there without touching the wall? If that's a live replay view you have a picture of, I would be scrutinizing it for a wall touch.

Have you checked the data logger for a speed drop?

New splits:

T1: 15.967
T2: 25.121
T3: 21.168

Big improvement in T1 for me, just need to string it all together now 👍

Does anybody else think this would be much better on race hards? I keep trying to tighten the line on the power, but there's too much grip and I end up just pushing wide...usually into a wall or the side of the mountain :ouch:

It's a saved replay, so no data logger, but in the replay there's no drop in speed, no sparks, and upon scrutiny I can't find a shot of it touching the wall either.

If I can get a 'final word' on this I'd highly appreciate it.

Updated times are:
T1: 15.716
T2: 25.431
T3: 21.027

Another 10 laps and afger the first tunnel i was also very close to the wall but could not see any touching after studying the footage taken for an half hour. I think i'll gonna do better anaway so then it's no problem anymore.

T1: 16,337
T2: 26,154
T3: 21,647

Maybe I'm getting old, or maybe people are just getting better, but I'm struggling to keep up! Spent another hour or so on it and mustered some respectable splits:

T1: 16.300
T2: 25.338
T3: 21.221

...but my finish was not as good as my previous best lap...we'll see if I get another session, for now I'm submitting this lap 👍

EDIT: Just noticed I'm the highest placed DS3 user...giddy up :sly:

Just spent about half an hour on practicing sector one. And thanks to some tutelage I have got it down to a 15.8** with more to work on.

I love WRS how the Div 1 boys will help you to get better even though you could one day compete against them. Not many other competitions that would do that.

Thanks heaps Small_fryz.

Yeah, I'm not sure how they do it. Every time I pull a 15.6 in sector 1, it requires me to ruin the first turn in sector 2 and I lose any ground I had made up. /shrug

T3: 21.691

Pretty warm in the face, after an hour doing battle.
Felt great nailing Turn 1, a few times in a row.
Tried cockpit view for a lap or two, and THAT is a wild ride! HOLD ON TIGHT!

I've only been once below 16.x - hitting 15.8x on T1, which was using the outside curb on the final turn, in order to turn the car to mostly keep full throttle. But repeating this was harder than it looks ;)

More tips on getting to sub-16 on T1 is welcome.

I'm only D3, so I'd wait for better drivers advice, but I found that a slower first turn, makes for a faster set of the following 3. I sacrifice a little bit on the very first left hander, which allows me to get 'set' for the right hander, downhill, uphill into the left. The tunnel is the trickiest part of Sector 1 in my opinion. Also, I burp the gas pedal a tiny bit, to force the trany to stay in 5th downhill, because it kills me every time it shifts into 6th.

My replay is extremely odd when watched, because I actually drifted into the tunnel and somehow it worked to my benefit. I'm doing a 4 wheel slide, triggered by my right rear tire bouncing off the curb just before the tunnel. That's the picture I should snag!
