Sorry but on a iPhone it's in invisible. I kept my word, and already updated my Sig despite never seeing a 1:07.XXX time at Deep Forest, I updated it anyways because it was my error.

But I will say its not staying long as I still feel your attitude is just so damn poor.

Oh seems that I've to update my tune.
1:11.652. very good time and a great challenge for me. I'll try to beat it.
Aggressive rear spring...hmm could it be.... 16?

Not quiiiiiiite 16 but close.

I see that you're driving with the birds view....looks weird to me.
I hate this view and would be a lot slower. But yeah everyone has his own driving style.

+1. I know there are some very fast people who use chase cam but it's never worked for me except for in, say, Drift City... Which is so arcadey you NEED to see exactly where the car is.

(No_OBsT33R don't worry, I don't try to make it as fast as possible when it gets at the same time harder to drive)

Hopefully by the time I'm done yelling at Adrenaline to try new stuff we'll have a nice mix of both... The fastest tune will use all four tires roughly equally with a slight amount of oversteer in and understeer out. A car that overuses either end will be more difficult to drive (or at least more difficult to drive quickly) than one done right.

Comfort = speed. Understeer and oversteer are both uncomfortable. Understeer is safer but not faster (loose is fast until you have to countersteer).

And....Action!

"What dear...what am I doing?"

"Oh..what am I reading? Well, I'm not exactly sure. Its 8 pages of responses to a forum hread. I dont want to stop for fear I miss something. I think somewhere in here the thread creator will make a point.

(reading reading...hair graying...)

"See here it is 4 pages ago something coherent about...wait, nope that was an ad...Umm. You know what, I've already forgotten whose thread this is."

"Why you ask?"

"Well, it appears all the work is being done by someone else and this 🤬 wont stop complaining."

Hmm...Strange.

*munch munch *munch munch

End Scene!

PS: chuyler1--Isnt it nice to see the same attitudes...albeit with different names in our series. Some folks you can reason with and others are just fish

I think I've done quite well with the YB, I've moved on to other cars for the moment. I may come back to the YB to improve my Tune. For now I'm satisfied with how well received my settings have been and how well they faired up against the rest.

I still eagerly await to see the set up you guys come up with, hope if there is anybody left that needs a DF YB yours fills the void if any my set up hasn't. Or for those looking for something different.

Cheers!

LOL I know. I think I am missing this bad blood from previous threads because what I see is progress with this car. A little spring here, some toe there. I think the contributors of this thread have tamed the beast, or possibly castrated it...but I am still enjoying the discussion to make it not just easy to drive but also fast.

Do we have a tune that doesn't use ballast yet? That might be a new challenge...or should we start a new Yellowbird "project" thread as to not confuse things?

This thread went to hell fast... is this onset of PSN withdrawal syndrome? I diagnose you all as needing to take a heavy dose of STFU.

The current tune I've been working on, uses ballast, but without adding weight. So it depends on your definition. As for bad blood, I can honestly say I have no clue what thread he's referring to. I have no memory of noobster prior to this thread. More importantly, I fail to see how I threw the first stone. My review, at least in my opinion, wasn't really that negative. I was truthful about what I felt was preventing the tune from being faster, but it wasn't in a derogatory manner.

I'll put some laps on it, as soon as I'm done watching House.
I do have 2 questions for you though praiano.
1: Do you consider the first 2 tunes, to be no longer of use? meaning they were just progress that I should disregard as far as the tuning database.
2: For a learning chance, as well as a topic of discussion, would you be willing to explain your choice of toe? How you decided on it, your feelings of it's use, pros/cons, cause and effect, etc etc?

Thanks

1°) Yes, like i 'm writing above, this is my definitive tune. I'm very satisfy with it and it give me a lot of pleasure to drive.

2°) Sometime this car drove me to despair during the settings sessions, and when birdy let me very upset ,my revenge was to apply something very nasty like those insanes settings till i stay more cool to drive again . Then the lucky TOE. It's as simple as that.
It let the car very round turn with precision, stay also stable during high speed curves, if not , easy to bring back to the line... Good allaround feeling on the wheel.
That's it.

Alright... I had some time with your tune praiano and I'm sorry to say, I think it was a step in the wrong direction from your previous tune. The second one you made worked the best for me so far. I found this one to be really hard to control overall. If it works for you, that's what matters, but my personal opinion was that your 2nd tune, was not only more stable, but faster.

Edit: This tune has become obsolete. The finished version is in my Sig @ AdrenaTune.
Didn't want anyone wasting their time with an old set up.

Definetively, I stay with my tune . For me you're a kind of ET in question of speed. I do the same time with your tune, but i feel more safe with mine. It allow me to maintain a racing agressive driving on the ring during 3 or 4 laps staying on the road.
My set is more safe during an eventual late braking, acceleration going out from a curve (all the kinds of bends) and finaly a great all aroud feeling on my G27, this is my own opinion, my set must fit better to a larger kind of people ,each with a different driving style.

This is definitive for me, all my "yellow bird " tunes before this one become null and void.

It was a great pleasure to "work" with everybody on this tune, each one will found the best for him. Now ,i'll spend more time on my Enzo, this car have also a big potential to be discover.

Have a good day everybody.

Ehhhmm, compare it to mine. It's almost the same as I postet on page 3. It's Ok that you used it and posted it again with little changes. No problem, but you could give me at least a bit credit.

My tune doesn't use additional ballast, look at page 3.

God, one thread is more than enough!
I want you all to be a part of the progress we're making as a group, so lets see what you have to say. Thanks guys.
Thanks. I have no time today, I'll test it tomorrow!

Strangely, my pharmacy won't fill your prescription, but it wasnt for lack of trying. I dropped your name and tried passing coin on the low low, but they werent having it.

Ok thanks, like I said no prob. I'm curious to test your changes and to compare it with Adrenaline's (and RJs?) modified setup. And of course, I'll compare it with an updated version of my tune, too.:sly:

So how is the Public receiving these settings?
We need some more people (not tuners) to try some of them out. Tell us what they think.

Cheers!

Awesome efforts people, as I am too incompetent when it comes to tuning ( and actually a lazy 🤬 ) I'm going to sip some of the knowledge available in there, may I?

I love this car in stock form, I will try No_Obst33r's tune to find out how it will do on the nordschleife. ;)

I would love to try these tunes out. But my YellowBird is stuck offline. As soon as I can get it back or buy a new one I plan on trying these tunes.

How did that happen (I really don't know) I don't have time for PSN. Too much stuff going on.

You can defiantly try to find some. :D lol it's in there somewhere lol.

She does alright at the Ring, that's her Hometown, she had to be.

Thanks for checking out the Tune.

So it seems that while Adrenaline and I have come quite a ways with our upcoming tune it's... Still improving rapidly. One click of front extension made a .8s time difference at Trial Mountain for example. Currently sitting w/ no ballast weight or positioning, still a bit loose on entry so next up will be a small bit more work with the rear dampers, a lot of toying with the LSD, and then some fairly extensive toying with ballast position... Should wind up with a very drivable car that posts at least reasonable lap times... Nothing amazing for the tires (McF1 does on S3s what this does on R3s so far) but not "slow".

I tested your tune today. Test track was Grand Valley Speedway.
First, the tune is very fast, proverbial. I was shocked as I saw how much faster it is on the straight than my tune.
Because of that, I tested your transmission on my tune and was much faster than before. Great transmission! (or was the oil change the reason?)

Anyway, Adrenaline, do you remember that you called my tune "difficult to drive"? If my tune is difficult, then is yours from hell!
I miss any feedback from the car. A good time with this tune is like art on ice. You've to be very very careful, but not because it would oversteer.

It was strange. While I was driving, I wasn't sure if it's the right car. It did not feel like a Yellowbird.
The good message is that if you can manage a clean lap, you're faster than with the other tunes. My setup was around 3 tenths slower.
But the problem is the constancy. With my tune, I can easily drive 10 laps in a row with just a difference of 0.5s. With yours.... ehhmmm....well....it's extremely difficult. The average time is much slower.
It seems that you made a great tune for qualifying, but not for the race. (Sorry about that, just my opinion)

Of course, it could be that it just doesn't suit my driving style.
The speed is great, it should be just a bit easier to drive.
(I wanted to test it on an other track, but unluckily my brake pedal got broken.:()

@praiaino63

Oh, I forgot. Your tune feels very well, good cornering, very stable while braking. It has just a lack of traction. I couldn't drive a good time, cause my brake pedal got broken. :((again)
