Pilot idea here. Now my friend MustangRyan set up a restrictor-plate NASCAR series running to 502hp regulations. I am thinking of setting up a Friday night series in future (Friday Evening european time, lunchtime US time (I think)), in spirit of the Nationwide Series - so slightly less powerful cars (453hp) and slightly shorter races. Would anyone be interested?

Do it with '07 Mustangs, '08 Challengers, and '10 Camaros and make all cars 453hp/1450kg, and I'm so there.

I do think that this is way forward for this one.

I love the Camaro's, it was the first car on GT5 that I thought 'I love this car' and it won me a bunch of races early on.

On Thursday, I bought a brand new one, and apart from oil change, left it completely stock before RM-ing it. Here are the benefits to a Camaro RM Nationwide Series

a) Eveyone will have the same car / limits / restrictions
b) Own colours can be chosen
c) Own number can be chosen (baggsie #18)
d) As Stock RM, BHP is 435, so with some additions, can easily reach 453
e) RM Camaros just look 'mint'

I'm all for this, and (work permitting) happy to be involved in the Series setup.

I think this will get enough interest, and can be run on both Oval and Road courses.

Thoughts?

Good points about using RM and car numbers... gonna check that out now...

Use the Mustangs, Camaros, and Challengers with unlimited tuning, but a maximum power restriction of 453hp, with a minimum weight of 1450kg. Everyone is in an equal car, but still able to drive something that looks different, much like the current Nationwide Series, with their Challengers, Mustangs, Impalas and Camrys racing on Saturdays. The Truck series is going to turn into a 1-make Chevy series, let's not do the same with this series too.

I am testing the cars and at the same hp and weight levels, the Mustang appears to be 20pp down.

I think we showed today that these three cars are basically dead even at 453hp/1425kg. 👍

It will happen in future, but first I do have a short series planned in the friday slot, using a car mentioned in this topic. Information will follow in due time.

I'll consider joining, but knowing how the Camaro handles, I'll only do oval courses.

I built and tested all three cars today at 453hp and 1450kg. All three cars got 10 laps alone on track at Daytona. All three cars had a fastest lap within 0.075 seconds of each other when I was done.

If someone doesn't make a series soon using these three cars, I'm going to organize a companion Nationwide series to run just before the five Sprint Cup Chase races in January and February, like the Truck series is doing now for the Sprint Cup regular season races.
