Did anyone else's voice chat have a cool reverb to it ?

For reverb where it shouldn't be, it sounded somewhat decent.

In a month it will be the 1 year anniversary of the 450pp tuner's club. I'm thinking of having a tournament to celebrate. Please give me some feedback on how to proceed. This is what I have thought of so far...

* Races will be 10-15 minutes in length
* Several race nights per week
* Several races per night
* Possibly 2 on the same track before moving to the next track
* Points will be recorded for each race
* Best of X races will be used to determine overall winner. A driver will be able to miss a few nights and still be competitive.
* All tarmac tracks in the game will be incorporated
* Tunes will be restricted to no ballast and no more than 1% engine reduction and must have clean oil. If an oil light is seen in the replay, the driver will be disqualified.
* MR cars will be outlawed
* performance parts must stay the same the entire season, but suspension, lsd, and tranny can be tuned for each track

Possible additional rules
* disable tire wear to give FF cars a better shot at winning
* disable ABS to mix things up a bit
* allow drivers to switch cars once during the season if they are falling behind in points
* points could be tallied separately for each week night, but I'd rather have an "overall" score

The idea will be to pick the car you think is fastest across all the tracks in the game, and do your best to run consistently fast in it every night. Some tracks will favor one car over the other, so the most well rounded car will come out on top.

Have you thought about leaving tire wear on, turn off ABS, then up the amount of laps in each race to discourage ballast ?

Almost look like some Time attack (3-4 racer enter the track and try to post the best time of the session (5lap race)).

I don't understand???

Great idea. I'd like to try no ABS. The engine and ballast restrictions would be nice as well.

Nick I think he means more weight=more lockup. Make the race longer and those with the most weight (ballasts) will have to pit more often. However this won't help if the driver is good with no ABS and never locks up.

Correct

Plus they'll be straight up screwed on a track with no pits.

The ballast rule was more about limiting car selection to true 450 cars and forcing ppl to tune for their default weight balance.

Turning abs off would be about tire preservation and would also give drivers some opportunities to make passes happen in brake zones by risking a little lockup to get out front. I have enjoyed it in the one make lobbies I have found from time to time but you do have to tailor the BB to your driving style.

Place your bets !!!

Will the thumbnails in my garage, lost when my GT5 tossed its cookies earlier tonight, finish updating before the end of Fallon tonight ?

25 minutes of Fallon left.

Great racing last night everyone. There were a few pushy pubbers but there were also a few talented pubbers. My 350z isn't the fastest in a straight line but what it lacks in speed it makes up for in grip. I'm going to upload a few videos.

... There were a few pushy pubbers ...

Got punted by Newblood 3 times. Once in qual on Rome Reverse, then 1st corner of Rome Reverse via a chain reaction started by him. The the third time was the start of lap 2 at GVE. He put the nose of his Subaru in my left 1/4 panel and turned right on the straight.

Guess he couldn't see the car with all the flashing lights.

You gotta speak up man. I didn't see his driving until GP/D...and you'll be happy to know I took care of it. He went home and cried to Mommy. After seeing him divebomb the chicane then run wide on the next corner. I got along side him and forced him into the gravel trap. I lost some ground with the leaders, but it was worth it.

GP/D - Watch the GTR closely. LOL, the kid had no idea how to drive. I wish someone told me about him earlier...but at least I got him to rage quit instead of having to kick him. Oh, and yes, I do need an oil change.

Monaco - Great battle with Waffle and Esh after I worked my way through traffic. I had to make a gap after the first turn...but the car to my right spun his tires so I wasn't going to lift off to get behind him. I hit the 240RS too, but that's because he hit the wall.

GVE - It's been a while since we've run this track forward...but it can be just as fun as reverse. I need more work on the 350z gearing. I put 5th and 6th close together for great end-of-straight power, but my pull in 2nd and 3rd gear suffers.

I really like the 350z. Although it isn't as fast, I can make up for it in the corners. I'm not sure how it would pan out against the really fast cars people have like the RX-8 though. This car also needs an oil change, which may put it over 450.

Last night was fun thank you for hosting Churley. Ipretty much stayed at the back i definetly did not have the cars to compete and keep up. It was great watching to see what cars are good and whats needed to compete. I had to do some quick tunes my garage severly lacked FF cars. Wow CHurley your good!!! I tried a couple of FF cars this morning and was able to keep pace !! Its going to be a learning curve for me hopefully compete with you soon! I do a lot of testing, i have one question though, are these set ups viable with online racing..ie to the cars handle the same?
