Captain Slow to the rescue..!! I did quite like the Vauxhall Corsa they made him drive on last nights episode of Top Gear.

Praiano doesn't count, he's part Brazillian, part Alien. I was a good handful of seconds faster in the later model. Good build all round, Sir, it translated well on both models of the car 👍

I might call off my hunt for a 420PP car, unless the rest of the Test Drivers suddenly start submitting 8:15s for my car :scared:

Definitively the `99 tiburon is better than the `01 in my opinion.

CSLACR has raver's on share and said a few posts ago that he would get the tune posted. I got ravers through borrow. Cowboy isn't in my friends list so I haven't seen his. Is he still tuning this far past the deadline or was his car at least on share by Saturday?

Everyones car was on share before the deadline tho Raver and cowboy didnt put their tune before the Deadline, I dont mind it...

Meh I guess ill have to retest all cars a 4 th time so i can get some feedback on all of them, but i dont think i will have much time this week and starting this weekend iwill be in belgium, thats why i rushes at testing everyones car like a no-lifer before this week.. Do i get disqulified if i dont come up with feedback? else i just copy paste the feedback of mike xD

You guys can give large or small reviews, up to you.
The only requirement is some type of feedback on what you did or didn't like about the way the car drove, nothing major or complicated.

The way Praiano does it is super, but it's very time-taking, so just something to let the tuners know how you feel about the car will do nicely.👍

Example: A bit of under-steer on entry, over-steer on exit, a little unstable in high speed corners.

I think the '99 might have handled a little better, but the '01 was faster and had better access to that speed and acceleration, due largely to the 6-speed 'box. This is obviously opinion, but I found that 6 speeds were better than 5. On my own car, I thought it better to tune the gearbox for more acceleration and less top speed. I know this track has some fast sections and you can really get up to very high speeds, but in relation to the length of the track, I thought it was better to be able to get up to speed quicker.

If car (A) makes it to 130mph a lot faster than car (B) makes it to 135mph, then over the life of one lap, the slightly slower car should be faster ... does that make any sense..??

I've got a few 5 speed cars in my garage tuned so they basically have no 1st gear. They suck off the line but once you get going 1st gear is a similar ratio to 2nd gear on a 6 speed gear box. There aren't many tracks where you even use 1st gear on a 6spd after the launch anyway.

Some of us do that to our 6-speeds, which is when the 5-speed becomes a handicap once more. ;)

True true. I wouldn't say it is manditory though. I managed a top 5 in lap time and top speed on praiano's sheet without sacrificing my launch. In fact, I didn't even touch the individual ratios. I just played with the top speed and final gear to get the car at max power in 6th going up the hill.

Launch is the problem with low power 5 gears car together with the tire grip. For a race with grid start at Nordschleife, of course i will prefer a stock ratio gearbox , because it´s very difficult to take back the place you can lose at the start.
This was not the case in this shootout, and in my opinion ,it´s better in this particular case ,to have the gears as clothe as possible, with a long 1st, than a stock gearbox. This configuration allow you to stay in higher RPM changing gears all the time on this specific track, staying in the best RPM/POWER range.
For cars like the 400PP with low anorexic torque, this is very important. I´m not a specialist and i don´t have any [technical real live] arguments for this, but i´ve made this choice after seeing my ghost with better results this way.

I had very similar opinion to Praiano's in my review so im sure we would all end up to the same conclusion, just give s brief commentary or simply post your laptimes :)

was playing with the way I tune gear boxes last night, interesting to find certain efficiencies especially when getting to top end of 6th/5th and the speed difference going up the hill before the carousel........
For the combi van I'm currently mucking around with am similar to what other people are saying, has nothing at all in first until 6000rpm, then goes like a cut cat...

So far, DS3, Engine overhaul, chassis overhaul, oil change, aftermarket rims, will also post tune here later.

Every thing at GT Auto was done and I tuned it with DS3. I only changed the auto setting (max speed) on the transmission.

I did list all of this in my tune.

You didn't list the individual gear settings with your tune. I need the individual gears, final drive and max speed.

Can you also list the HP, weight and PP you achieved. Not all tunes are at 400PP. I didn't see this listed with your tune.

I don't know if I want to watch before or after I drive it, I only ran 1 full lap with the Teggy.

BTW - It is still not a "Honda acura". :lol:
It's a 2001 Acura Integra Type R, the one that meets the same requirements all cars have to meet here(for me). Prettier too. :P

Comments: Turn-in is very good, a little oversteer if you push too much.

Medium speed corner:
Entry: 9 Middle: 8 Out: 9
Comments: The car has a great handling capability, but will lose stability and speed on the curbs on middle part, losing time and speed for the exit depeding the area.

High speed corner:
Entry: 9 Middle: 8 Out: 9
Comments: Same thing as medium speed cornering, the suspension is too stiff for the curbs, might need a smoother suspension.

Comments: Despite the suspension a little too stiff, it had a very good handling with good turn-in, it was fun to drive but would have used a slightly longer gearing, it was hitting the rev limiter on few area. Good job nontheless :)

Too stiff as in the Dampers or springs? Both? You took about 20 seconds of my time, so I greatly appreciate your efforts!

Oh and in case anyone's interested I decided to max out my spare "Aki" and then go do the Grand Valley 300km.:crazy:

Currently in 2nd about 5sec back after getting fresh tires put on. Of course I'm only on lap 18 so figure it should be an easy win.:D
