Well, due to the fact that basically everything in the state of CA has been rained out for this weekend, I will be able to attend the festivities on Friday and Saturday night this week. I understand that Saturday is an ongoing points series so if I show up and need to make room for someone who will make more races, that is fine with me.

Every event that we currently have is at 10:00 EDT. Which is 2:00 AM GMT.

Goat, Diabolic, and anyone else interested: Look up Monza on Wikipedia. Apparently that oval hasn't been used for 50 years and is now in pretty rough shape. At one point they had what is basically the current layout (minus chicanes) attached to the oval, making for one very long, very fast course.

DLC! DLC! DLC! …please…

It would be really awesome of PD made a track creator that was worth a damn. where you could actually draw out a course. Kind of like how Mod Racers 2 works on the Vita. You may not get the same back ground or a picture perfect track, but it would be nice to be able to actually design a course and not use some crappy randomizing algorithm to plot a map. Maybe GT6.

Rally, what days of the week would you be able to host mid-day sessions? I think the best way to have GMT-friendly races would be to have them mid-day in the U.S. so that it will be in the evening in Europe. What do you think?
As it stands for the next month, from about 3 to 5 Monday and Wednesday. about 3:30 to 4 (traffic depending) on Tuesdays and thursdays. I'm sure I can stretch that time out an hour or two on Wed-Thurs.
Perhaps an international league?

I'd be happy if it were like Scalextric, where you have a types of corners and straights and you just join them together in any order you want.

I would be happy if PD made the track creator to allow users to use all the different things in the game. There are about 12 different rumble stripes, 5 asphalt textures, countless buildings. If the track creator was more like "little Big Planet" meets "Gran Turismo 5" then we (the end users) would really have the tools we need to create tracks we want to race at. Lime Rock, Mid-Ohio, Watkins Glen, just to name a few. PD really dropped the ball on the track creator, if you ask me.

If this were a stand alone game with online multi player function...it sell like hotcakes!

Gran Turismo meets Sim City. Comparing it to slot car is interesting but adding a topography editor would be great.

I agree completely. I was geeked when I saw the track creator when I first started up the game, then I messed with it.:yuck::grumpy:
Depending on what is possible with the PS4, Modracers 2 style of track creation would be perfect. You track the course with your finger, then you can change elevation, track surface, add trees and background scenery. Im not sure just how in depth it gets as far as customizing, but the system itself is great.

a lá Roller Coaster Tycoon. That would be great. The only problem that I can see is that there would be a fixed number of corner radiuses, though I suppose you could have a dial-a-radius type control for that, so never mind. Not a problem at all.

I think that I could run with this much of the time. What time zone are you referring to? (And watch your Ds and Ss in front of me. ;) )

That and something like - paint schemes that aren't monotone? Maybe some vinyl? What about raised hoods, chopped windows, low-riders, all those air intakes out of the hoods... buy and upgrade and some *might* look different, and some *have* to be different.

The ol' Porsche engine in the VW Bug trick, or ... whoa... 💡

What about a JATO on my ol' Chevy??? :boggled:

Like you can do in the 'Need For Speed' games :D

Hey everyone, I joined GTP a couple weeks ago. I'm really interested in joining your group and racing with you all. I'm not sure I'll be able to make every Sunday event, but I'll be on when I can.

Hey BeRandom!

I'll add you to the drivers list you'll be starting in the Division 3 group for this Sundays league race. For the Sundays you can't make it please be sure to give us 24 hours notice, it makes things much simpler for us, thanks.

PSN friend requests will be sent to you from SNAIL_Division1, SNAIL_Division2 and SNAIL_Division3. Their lounges are where we race Sunday night and hold our various events. Here's a breakdown of the ways we use the different lounges.

During the week we run a number of different events feel free to jump in and partake!

The original post also has a lot of information regarding the league, have a browse through it.

Welcome aboard and enjoy :)

Okay, we'll find a way to accommodate all of you European drivers who are wanting to participate in our races. I've sent you friend requests from our divisional accounts (which I see that you've already accepted) so that you can participate in whatever we come up with that meets your schedule. Stay tuned for more details, we'll make this work for you somehow! 👍

I'm thinking it would be great to have a European S.N.A.I.L. league get some traction. Following the same set up for North America.

We could then have a once a month Best of each Division showdown for bragging rights :) Top six in each North American Division go against the top six from each European Divison.

Obviously it'll be some time before we get to that point, but I think it would be fun. Thoughts? Worth pursuing?

I don't know about going all crazy custom NFS style. But it would be nice to be able to do a little more to the cars just to add a little bit of personal touch to them. Mild bodykits maybe, or universal front spoilers and aero bits like the spoilers. and more spoiler variety.

EDT... For now... :mischievous:

After the next month or two though im going to be moving short term, and may not even be able to get on at all. Then in Aug, Sep, I'll be moving to Chicago for about 2 years. Should be able to have internet there. We will see how the next few months go though. Im trying like heck to make sure I keep connectivity.

Aguilar and hazellnut,
You two are the most recent European drivers to request membership to our league, so please let us know what day(s) and time you prefer to race on. If both of you can come to an agreement on a day and time that you both can race on, it would be enough to get something started. I could then follow up with European drivers who we've turned away in the past to see if the days and time you guys select will work for them as well.

I agree that having a European division in our league might be pretty cool. Of course, not everyone in that division would have to actually live in Europe. It would simply be a division for any drivers who prefer to race at a GMT-friendly time. I like your idea of an international showdown once a month too! Let's see what develops and go from there.

Cool, I've driven with a bunch of people who favour GMT. I'll check with them and see if they would like to join in.

I've updated the Tuesday Parity Racing Series thread. This Tuesday, we are going to run the Evora. Next Tuesday, I'm going to break from the SNAIL cars. I am not sure, yet, what I'm going to do. I want to open it to a small class of similar cars, I'm just not sure, yet, which ones.

But, I'm going to try and set the schedule several weeks in advance so people can get the cars lined up.

I was only semi-sarcastic, just mild exaggeration. ;-)

No, I think your idea has merit! You can also put numbers and national flags on your cars in NFS, that would make racing series with non-RM cars on here really good :D
