After a couple of laps of Rome & figuring out where my braking-points were & which gears for each corner, etc; it was much easier than i expected. Took me a little longer to hit the lead, but did so on the 9th lap & had to do the final with him hot on my tail. Composure under pressure at its best. Love it! 
It was a really good race on an enjoyable track and i was driving nearly on-my-limit the whole race with some fantastic passing moves i even surprised myself in. What a great drive it was!
As for Nurburgring... Well really F1s should only be using the GP circuit. F1s just aren't suitable for the Green Hell. F1s may well be the best car, And Green Hell is no doubt the ultimate track; But should the 2 be married together?! I love King George Whiting & i love chocolate ice cream, but i'd never put them both in the same dishl!? ...But that's just me.
The 4 other tracks were a breeze compared to Green Hell with the F1. I lost count in how many times i restarted it. I kept getting 2 wheels on the grass at braking points, etc; and recovering while losing it is damn-near impossible on such a narrow track. It's just so hard to be so precise at such a high speed.
Multiple times i got to within 3 seconds of the leader at the carousel on the 2nd lap, but i couldn't quite catch him. I lost by 1.2 seconds.
A few mins & 1 beer later, i had another crack at it. The beer definitely helped settle the nerves. By the end of the 1st lap, i was within 5 seconds of the leader and in 3rd place: Which was the closest i'd ever been at that stage. I took the leader just after entering Nordischliffe & then, the pressure was really on.
I managed to get 6 seconds ahead only to slip up a little bit, costing me a few seconds. This truly tested my 'composure-under-pressure' to the absolute limit. I couldn't back off either bcoz i knew he'd be right on my tail before the long straight.
Was he ever!? I could see on the radar that he was gaining on me until he was about to pass me. Thankfully, the long straight ended 1st and i was able to hold on by 0.6 seconds.
I thought i was going to be elated. Instead it took me 5 mins of sighing & deep-breathing to get over it. What a relief!! Finally, i did it! But geez, THAT WAS ... HARD!
Fireice: The 2 easiest in my opinion is Indy-Road Course and that Eiffel circuit.
And by the way, my F2007 is now shared online. The PP still wants to go up tho, so if you do need to drop the PP a little bit, i recommend adding ballist like i did: not limiting the power. Cheers.

And F2007 with endless tune. I'm also DS3er
I saw a video on Youtube of a guy using Sports Soft instead of Racing Hard, I was asking hehe!
He did Rome with 845pp and got 193k EXP. I'd like to do it at way less than that to grind my Level 40 *AND* get my Platinum trophy hehe!
These events looks like the perfect ones to grind XP! (...and Money!)

If you want to grind money and XP fast, than do the A-spec seasonal 4 650PP challange. 1M Cr. and 200000 XP with 200% bonus. One lap in the 2J is about 6.25 for DS3 users.

I did it SO MANY times man, I went from Lv. 35 to 80% of Lv. 38 using that track. I can't do it anymore

Yeah if you're already struggling as it is, sports tyres would only make it far worse for you! Try adjusting your controller sensitivity. Mine was on 5.
If you're using X & D like i do, don't press them too hard. Brake with about 60-70% pressure & ease the throttle softly while turning. As you exit a corner, the more you straighten up your steering, the more accelerator you can apply safely. You should only apply 100% power when you are going straight.
Without tcs, you can feel when you're on the limit before you lose it, so you know not to apply any more power at any certain degree of steering. If you've got tcs on, you can't feel what i'm referring to & that would explain your difficulty. You need to be able to feel what the car is doing.
And at the end of the day, driver aids do slow you down, costing you in speed. I recommend all aids off except skid recovery force on & ABS set to 1. That's all i do.
And thanks by the way, for sharing which is the better F1. I did ask that question earlier, but no one replied. Luckily for me i won the F2007 as a prize & now i know not to bother buying the F10. Cheers.

Thanks for the input! I'll try without TCS and w/ F2007. I was trying to play MT but that's near impossible, so I switched to the boring AT...
FYI, I do not use X & Square. I use the right analog (up/down).

Oh ok. I can't play it like that. I even use R1 & R2 for all my gear changes with my index and middle fingers. That way my left hand only needs to worry about the steering. I'm weird like that!? xD
I couldn't possibly do it with Automatic as i wouldn't be able to control my braking and sliding (mildly) into corners. ...Yes that's right: the brakes for my F2007 are set as front 9 /rear 10.

Adjust power limiter accordingly to achieve pp desired(have won sub 800pp for mega $)

Yes. Firstly the driving line is wrong! Don't follow what the AI do in those corners. I was even overtaking them on the outside!?
Try to approach those corners from as widely left (out-in-out) as possible & complete your braking before the sudden rise. Then it should be a case of simply holding off on your accelerator until the exit to the corner becomes visible.
...And of course don't slam on the accelerator straight away. Ease onto it gradually until you've exited safely.
Finally the other thing i can clarify is that whenever your car feels a little unstable and you feel like you're about to spin out, the best thing you can do is lift. Don't brake, don't accelerate, just lift (with clutch?!) & steer as necessary. I actually found that a lot of those corners i was able to fly through by a simple lift.
It took me a few crashes too, but it's just a case of trial-and-error. Eventually you'll get the hang of it.

This seasonal was probably one of my favorites. I like it so much because it was far more difficult to win even at 871 pp than most other seasonals. Indianapolis and Nurburgring were the two easiest for me and tokyo and eifel being the most difficult.
I had to retry the tokyo one twice because before now I had never driven that track in that configuration, also It was kinda hard for me to see because of all the shade covering certain parts of the track, but it seems like no one else is struggling with that. Tokyo was the only one i had to do in full pp, the others I as able to win easily with 850.

Yes for all...prob need more power for Tokyo(815pp+), but all others at or below 800pp! Please share what you think on setup(s).
Just the diff's in ballast to get each to 650kg and the individual gears...made everything else the same, however, I prefer the F10's cockpit view more.
Tokyo the only one had to go like 815pp+(usually need more power for that track anyway, but the reverse configuration caused me some trouble as well). The 4 other tracks were somewhat easy at 800pp, pretty sure I could get down towards 770-790 range(depending on track). Eifel is super fun, just need to be cautious on the elevated turn sections!

Just tried Eifel. So much downforce, treated like an X2011. Needless to say, it didn't work out well. I wonder if real F1's have DS3's instead of actual steering wheels?
I would try motor city hami's tune on pg.4 of this thread because it's a ds3 setup. Mine was using a wheel so not sure how it handles w/contoller.

i had been stuck at level 36 Experience for a while now because i didnt to the glitch a lot of people did and dont race online much so im left with the A spec seasonals as the only real thing i do anymore... of course i dont feel like attempting the endurance 24hr races this with the 200% log in is as good of an opportunity in a long time for me to get some substantial experience points instead of my bar moving up like a millimeter ... ive been grinding rome and indy at 819PP today and it took me all the way to level 37 fairly quickly

Love this new event. had 6 miles on my Kimi Mobile prior to the event...
Took my bone stock fezza out with none of those driver aids with my DS3.
Swapped between traditional view (Dials) or incar... Stuck with in car.
Car was so planted - managed to build up my pace at Indy to lead by lap 5 and stroke a huge lead I guess with "Monza" aero and a "Montoya gut" ballast you can get some more moolah.
Rome was harder as one joker thought he could try to repass ino the "Mouth of truth" chicane near the temple of Heracles .... bits of scarlet car everywhere with th epile up. Still managed to get going and reel in the leaders in short order.

The 7th gear rev limit seems a bit low at Indy.

Yeah Tokyo was the hardest for me had like 5 retrys before i won at 800pp
you gotta out brake and slide the car in the corners since at 800pp you get murderd in the straits.
