7/4/12 - A-Spec: Expert Level Ferrari Formula Challenge

Is someone willing to put their F2007 on share? I have the F10, but the F2007 is so much better. I'll give some stuff for it.
Thanks in advance!

Check my Profile. I believe you are on my FL. :)

Thanks, I'm currently running the F2007; it does seem a bit more forgiving than the F10. I'm running Wilso's setup, and it's helping (I've kept the power up, though, going to the full 871pp limit). I'm up to 4th now. I had first place by the Karussel on Lap 2, but spun and threw it all away just before the long straight. I held the lead through what I consider the hardest part of the course, but then I blinked! :(

I'll get there, but I don't get much joy out of it.

Me too. My F2007 was 10PP over the limit. I didn't reduce power either, but added ballist instead. I figured that would add stability.

I did exactly the same thing, leading through the technical section only to lose it just before the long straight. I also found they will gain on you too, so try to stick to the left for 2/3 of the long straight so they don't slipstream you.

The positive thing for you now is that you have been in the lead. So now you know you con do it. That does wonders for your confidence and composure under pressure.

It's just a case of being calm and focused so as to not make any mistakes because as you know, 1 crash and it's over. But as you said: You'll get there. :)

Yup, I finally did - and sure enough, that former leader was all up on my arse on the long straight, but he backed off at the kink in the straight, and I kept it hammered.

Well Done! :D What a relief hey?! You can breathe now!? Beer O'clock... ;)

Nurb at 770pp for 3.8 million

That is impressive. I did it easily at 810 pp but don't think I could do it with that little HP. Good job.

Yeah it's ridiculous how much time they lose in that section. Bad AI programming.

Had a really quick try at this on the ring, i rarely use the F1 i will need more time to get used to it but it was fun for a first attempt , finished 2nd 3.2 sec behind at 760pp, had 2-3 AI slowing me down, with luck and a better lap i think it should be no problem,

with 110% bonus and 2nd place it was 2 184 968 credits.

edit: just seen my car was losing power:scared:, after that race it was at 752pp 423hp. started my session with 444hp.

I finally beat the ring! I beat the others easily, but there I would either spin out too much due to just slightly touching the grass with a rear tire, or I would be too careful and not gain any time.

I turned on ASM, (a feature I rarely use) and it stopped the sudden spins. Plus, after I realized it did that, I was able to drive with much more confidence. The first attempt I made with ASM was a fairly easy win.

This was done with the F2007 (I don't even own the F10 yet).

Barely broke my ds3 getting the 3rd place at the ring. I was first since end of lap 1, then, two corners before the long strech, touched the grass and spun out. Bump the third car at full speed, pure frustration action, to finish 3rd. I know i can beat them but don't know if i still got the patience needed. Another heart breaking lose may cause death of my controller.

Edited: got it, in 13:56:02. For the record, i never drive my formula 1 cars.

I've been working on lowering my pp values at Indy and I last set my F2007 at 780pp to try and set a new pb. I managed to win by 2.369 sec but The car at race end only registered 777pp due to dirty oil so I was pleasantly surprised. After I was successful at 785pp I decided to lower the pp one tick at a time and after winning each time on the way down the scale I forgot about degredation...:dopey:

At any rate 777pp paid out as follows.

Indy (10 laps)
F2007 - 777pp
Payout - 3,096,192cr (+2,328,192cr)
Exp - 468,460 (+352,260)

I have drive N24H with Ferrari F2007.
6.15,500. what for times you guys drive there.
I can drive for sure 6,13 or 6,12 when i practise much.

At 780PP I was doing 6:58 on the first lap and a low 6:53 on the second.

Just had another try, no power loss this time, i wish the bonus was at 200% :(

Still need to learn that car more, especially the steering response.

For the ring, 1st place

F1 2007
757pp
130% bonus
3,917,213 cr (+3,328,703 cr)
629,938 exp (+535,298)
first lap was 6:59 , 2nd lap 6:58

will retry when the bonus is 200% with a cleaner lap hopefully.

The AI has a consistent problem with sweeping turns, hence its especially poor performance on Cape Ring and Trail Mountain.

With 200% bonus you would be over 600k! Nice job mike!

Thx Shoe :)

And i just tried 750pp, its getting a little limit now :scared:, i was ahead on
2nd lap at Ex-Mühle corner and was ahead by 6 seconds but they catched up on the long straight, i finish 2 seconds ahead.

I didnt played much with tuning, its just a basic tune, im sure some will have better tunes to post :)

Update on my previous post.
F2007 @ 737pp
$4.523 million
652k exp points
race time ~11.4 minutes
I took 1st during lap 8 and won by almost 7seconds so this could be lowered a bit more

Untitled.jpg

I used this (444hp, 745kg, 737pp):
power limiter 69.9% (my car has ~6k miles and never had an oil change)
200kg ballast @ 12
wings 82/114
spr 17.6 15.1
damp 4/5
3/4
bars 3/2

camber 1.6/0.8
toe -.1/.1

lsd 7/25/9
brakes 8/6

These cars work great on Eifel because its so smooth. You can run a lot of front grip there and not worry about bumps causing problems. And best of all, no Prius :)

Wow man, thanks. I hate Eifel (except Karts), but this is more than worth it.

I wish I could see a replay video of 737pp on the Eifel track. I have driven F1 cars a LOT since F1 CE (no assists and 100% race lengths for career mode), so I feel like I know how to handle one, and the best time I can pull on Eifel with 737pp is 1:12:937. Are you cutting corners somehow?

Maybe because I've changed the oil in my car it has more HP and I have to use less wings to get down to 737pp...? That doesn't make sense though, really.

Also, when I set my car to your exact specs it is 741pp.

Maybe he has dirtier oil, so that's how he has 737pp instead of 741

chaps, i keep on having trouble loading the eifel race...it came up with the pre-race screen, then suddenly the music stopped and the only thing that was available was the cursor, and nothing else could load...could this be the beginning of the end of my PS3?

Dunno, have you tried resetting it? Sign in and sign out? Exit to main screen then try again?

Well, I've since managed a 1:11:141, but that still isn't anywhere quick enough to get into 1st place. Don't see how it's possible to win this race with only 444HP.

At this point it is either driving skill, or they are dirty racing (bumping cars, cutting corners)

Turn it off then on. I have this issue occasionally . It usually fixes it
