Despite the fact that it's possible for every other driver to do what he does over the radio, the video recorded of him totally disrespecting the TV reporter was the final straw for me.

I'm assuming you didn't see interview where they talked about this either did you?

Kurt has an attitude ill will give you that, and his moods have been caught wrong light a lot of times too. Yet he blew up because first off he just thought he ruined Tony's championship when he had a part fly off his car and into Tony's. Media wanted to talk to him without letting him have a moment to cool down and get his head on right.

This is why I am a Kurt fan now, because NASCAR everyone is always right there and you never get moments to breath if your upset. I know other drivers handle it better but your comparing different personalities, which to me is hog wash.

Are you reffering to Jerry Punch at Homestead or Bob Pockrass at Dover?

I think Jerry Punch is what I would go with, but Bob had that one coming if you ask me for asking stupid crap trying to stir the pot. Kurt really just was being a smartass about it because he knew it would get some attention.

Dale Earnhardt Jr. sustains concussion following accident at Talladega. He will NOT race at Charlotte or Kansas.

I don't see how it is hogwash when saying that he didn't like his personality was the entire point of bringing it up in the first place.

Regan Smith will replace Earnhardt Jr. in the No. 88 Chevrolet in the next two events, per ESPN.

That should make some people in here happy. Let's see what he does with a legitimate Hendrick car for 2 races.

I just don't like the guy. Why does everyone have a problem with it? I could care less what you think, it's my opinion of which I'm allowed to have. I despise the guy and don't agree with FRR's move.

End of discussion from me. Done.

I think he's got the talent to get some top 10s.

Better than Danica will ever do, for sure.

And I'm delighted at A.J.'s return. I still can't understand he got originally banned for the rest of the season for a failed drug test, yet Kyle only got one weekend for a deliberate wreck due to lack of maturity.

Never have I been a Dale Jr. fanatic. However, I wish Dale Earnhardt Jr. well in his recovery. This is another situation where you hope for the best for an athlete even if you don't like him/her. And yes- race car drivers ARE athletes, and athletes get hurt as much as anyone of any traditional stick-and-ball sport.

I would like to extend my best wishes in Dale Jr.'s recovery. Anyone who follows traditional sports know how much of a big deal concussions are, especially today.

Wait, Jr has a concussion? Guy has to be the most stubborn driver I know because he sure didn't look like it when he ws driving back from the wreckage (with Jimmie Johnson riding along) and even did an interview.

Great, Angela Cope is racing in the Nationwide race this weekend. Another race that's going to be spoiled. 👎

I really REALLY feel bad for Junior and that whole amp team! That must suck alot. I mean its not like he was gonna win the championship anyway. But still that sucks! Now Regan Smith can get a true taste of Chevy power this weekend.

I think in the whole "Regan Smith driving the 88 car this weekend" announcement, we missed something bigger:

http://www.nascar.com/news/121011/aallmendinger-51-car-rsmith-88-car/index.html

Rick Hendrick, owner of Earnhardt's car, said he called Phoenix Racing team owner James Finch about 10 p.m. Wednesday, requesting permission to use Smith as his driver on Sunday. It was a logical move for Hendrick Motorsports, which has designs on employing Smith next season.

"We've been talking about running him in the Nationwide car for a championship," Hendrick said.
"He's a good friend of Dale's. Dale likes him, we're familiar with him. We knew he was going to be in James' car, so it just seemed to fit."

Phoenix Racing has a technical alliance with Hendrick Motorsports. Letarte says Smith's relationship with another Chevrolet team and with Earnhardt helped ease the decision.

"Regan has a great attitude and seems to be a remarkable talent," Letarte said. "He's part of the Chevrolet family, which obviously helps when it comes to driving our car. The fact that Dale believes in him so much also made the decision much easier."

Let's not forget Regan won at talladega in a DEI car if I recall correctly? The #01? before getting stripped of the win?

Yup.

Edit: Practice 1 = 7th quickest. Think he'll do just fine this weekend. 👍
