Steward's Comments:

Each of these events was a ton of fun the first time around and among the admins they're personal favorites so we're bringing them back for one more round. With this special event we are offering a couple time slots on both Saturday and Sunday hoping a few members who can't take part in our regular Wednesday time slots will have a chance to take part in the action. Each race is considered an individual event and no points are tallied across races.

The late time slot events on both days are being extended about 25% over the original event and will last about 1 hour 15 minutes. Every greatest hits album needs a few extended cuts!

Have fun! 👍

Good Luck, OLR Team:gtplanet:

In the event of a field of 13-16 drivers we will disable mics and race with one grid. With 17+ we will split the grid.

Eligibility

This WRS-Online event hosted by 3D3 Racing is open to GTP_Registered members only. If you are not currently on the registry run the GTP_Registry qualifier and join now!

Registration Instructions

The following must be performed by every driver for every event:
  • Click the registration button above, fill-in and submit the online registration form (use your GTP_ tag ID)
  • Leave a quick note in this thread to let us know you've registered and any other comments.
The following must be performed only one time per driver (not per event):
  • Send a PSN friend request to GTP_3D3Racing, GTP_3D3_A and GTP_3D3_B from your GTP_tag account.
  • Submit the 3D3 Racing Online Driver Database Entry Form. Your information will need to be verified before you are added to the db and before your ID will appear in the registered driver table above. You can view the official driver database here.

There is a 32 car/driver limit for this event (per region) and slots are awarded on the grid using a first come first serve basis. Reference the registered drivers table above for availability. This is a stand alone race and points are not tallied for a series. Future WRS-Online races hosted by 3D3 racing may have different driver limits and will require re-registration using the same first come first serve basis and participation in future events is optional.

Registration Changes

If you want to change your time slot, add a time slot or update your color choices just click on the registration link and fill out the form again and submit with new values. Your last entry will override any previous entries.

Cancellations

If for some reason, after you register for the event, you are unable to attend please click the registration button above and complete the form again selecting "cancel" as your status. Please also post a note in this thread as the table above can take some time to update.

Delaying or Restarting Race Start

Once the race countdown timer has started, the race will only be restarted in these cases:
  • Multiple drivers report a black screen/hang, instead of the 3-2-1 countdown.
  • One or more drivers get disconnected before race-pace has begun ("GO" for grid-starts, end of formation lap for rolling starts).
  • Steward realizes there is a condition that would lead to an unfair or poor race experience.

Once the race countdown timer has started, the race will explicitly NOT be restarted for:
  • Latecomers, even if you've registered
  • Driver realizes he picked the wrong car parts (ie, tires) or driving options (ie, Auto tranny)

  • Unless otherwise specified, all rules from the original WRS event apply.
  • All Hard Surfaces are considered Track Surface. This includes tarmac, red and white rumbles, and concrete. You are expected to drive clean at all times as if you are racing in the WRS. All participants are required to follow the GTPlanet Online Racing Rules & Guidelines.
  • 3D3 Race Stewards (who are taking part in race, but will review the replay) reserve the right to boot or invalidate the result of any driver from the Race Room for driving offensively. If you ignore any warnings from the stewards and are booted from the race room, you will not be allowed to participate in future 3D3 events.

  • No cheating of any kind
  • Nothing that goes against the spirit of the rules
  • Passing and Blocking: Aggressive blocking is not permitted, but the driver in front has the right to choose his/her line and braking point and drivers behind should respect that line. Be especially careful when you are on older tires than the competition as the speed difference may be significant. These events are "for fun" so just play nice and take a conservative rather than an aggressive approach when possible.

I feel I should point out that on the registration form, it says the FRS/BRZ/GT event is 16:00 GMT, but post says 15:00 GMT, I guess it is 15:00 GMT, but I thought it was worth just saying ;)

Yes, 15:00.

Registered for the two late EU races. The RUF Cup and Super-GT Suzuka.

For now all are on the reserve list. I'll update in the week before the event. Great to come back to the RUF event, that one was a lot of fun. The others are new to me ;)

Signed up. Can only make the RUF one for definite, will have to see what happens for the earlier ones.

Some good picks of races though 👍

I'm down for the weekend of racing, looks good fun, I didn't compete in any of those corresponding time trials so should be interesting. Will have to get some set up work done.

Signed up for two of these.👍 Going to try real hard to fit Colorfull Conceptii in too!

Registered for Grand Valley, and reserve for Suzuka.
Just 1 question, when will the decision be made regarding the tire wear/fuel consumption?

Probably by this weekend. Just assume fast for now for Grand Valley.

Very cool. Signed up for colorful conceptii, might try to make the grand valley race too, but when I tried to get a setup on that car I couldn't find one I liked.

I appreciate the early time slots.

You might try our parity races sometimes... usually when we run them it's 8:00 AM Pacific on Sunday for one time slot.

I'll have to do that, they sound like a lot of fun. I should be more informed than I am but I never get around to checking this forum.

I was interested to participate in the first race at GV. Already did the some test/practice runs, but with only 5 cars on the grid, i doubt if i will participate. This whole topic looks pretty dead. I found that very strange, cos this are the events that counts. This are the mean events, or am i wrong?

We are inbetween GT5 and GT6, grids get smaller.

Dennis,if you sign up,I will confirm my participation.:)

Grid will rise to 7 👍

I'll probably confirm for the whole weekend as well. Grids up to 8 ;)

Still a week to go don't forget. Might hype up a bit more as we close in on the dates.

We have a lot going on now between Parity and the Academy so people don't jump on things as early as before. Hopefully a few of the prime time races get to 12. The RUF cup was an incredible combo and will be a great race again.

I've registered for all four. There is a lot of preparation to do for me, especially carwise. I only ran the RUF cup, so I guess I'll have to prep a "new Hachi Roku" and a BMW 1 tii. I'm planning on doing that Friday evening European time. If it's free we maybe could all join in for some practice in the main lounge.

I'm definitely up for that Bart. I plan to practice a lot on Thursday and Friday for the 3 events I'm able to participate in. I'll be in the lounge around 21:00 GMT on Thursday and again at 8:30 PM Pacific. Friday probably the same.

Friday from 19:00 GMT to 21:00 GMT the main lounge is reserved for Academy practice, but otherwise it should be wide open. Also feel free to use the B lounge during that window.

I might try and get some practice Friday night after the Academy's ran.

Welcome to GTPlanet Vincent 👍 The best way to get started is to read these two threads:

https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/showthread.php?t=235296
https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/showthread.php?t=180298

Basically you will need to create a GTP account, named in the following way: "GTP_Tag" so you could create something like "GTP_VincentFive" or whatever other nickname you may choose. Then run the GTP qualifier. Submit the times you are happy with and wait for the announcement that you are officially in the registry in here. I think they announce them monthly, so if you submit soon I think the next batch will be between 8 and 21 of April. Good luck 👍
