[...] I unfortunately nailed you right on the nose of your car. I didn't mean to just couldn't avoid you. I ended up taking damage that slowed my car for a bit but I stayed in and eventually won the race. Don't give up when something like that happens because you never know what's going to happen that may end up putting you in the lead. I was sorry to see you leave.
We all need the experience to get better and the only way were going to get the experience is by staying in and racing as hard and clean as you can.
Dean (J) and I bumped a couple of times in the sprint race, once when he drifted off line in a corner smacking me pretty good and once when I was trying to get underneath of him in a turn. I even nudged him from behind once when we were entering the short tunnel after the bridge. I didn't mean to and I certainly wasn't trying to wreck him or force my way through. I just backed off, let him get a bit ahead to pay for my mistake, and made a mental note to leave a little bit more room.
Online racing is a different animal than the offline mode in that you have to deal with lag and how it affects your car and how it affects the other drivers or how they appear to you.
So, please, next time, try to let go of the frustration and just keep on going.
Sark
I didn't see what happened between you and BravoJon, but really these things happens, and we'll have to live with it. I'm not mad, annoyed or anything, Sark, as I might have been breaking very early, so no problem there! And, sorry if I hit you or anyone else!
Sark, Thanks for your comments. I usually do just shake it off and go back at it but for two reasons I bailed. First as stated before I just got tired off the wrecking. Second as I stated before, this combo was NOT a good situation for a DS3 controller because of the heavy need for throttle and brake control. Add to that my lack of ability I felt more of a chance on wrecking by myself or someone else than being competitive.
You are absolutely right in saying that I need to stick with it when the incidents happen. I have too much fun not to keep trying.
Well, I was very annoyed after the first race. Mainly because I couldn't stay on track. But, as I said (via the voice chat) afterwards, "We can't always win. Everybody have to lose sometime". I slowed down, in the race, and let the others by - and they ended up a lap in front, while I was slowly "re-learning" the track. I even think I said — in a reply of who, I forgot — "[...] Staying on the track, and avoiding me, is the most important things in racing." Afterwards, I was so lucky, that I won both of the sprint races
. - Just keep going (as you say yourself) as we never know what happens (as Sark said)
👍.
Sorry guys for not being here, due to physical problems and a short stay in hospital I was not able to race. Hope to see ya all back next week. And to Boogee, we have all been in your situation, but other races have already proven you are able to set a descent race. You must understand we are all on a learning base here and mistakes happen.... Being there with us again next week, shows you've got the right spirit 👍
I actually wondered why you weren't there, Frank, but we can't really control sickness. I hope you're "back in business" soon
.
- And, I agree with Frank, – mistakes and crashes
will happen, as we're all learning... I'm not pointing fingers, or anything, – at anyone – but I know it'll happen. And - you've got the right spirit BravoJon (as Frank also said)
👍.
See you soon on track ,Frank 👍
