I don't think a thread on that subject will get you a lot of intelligent answers on this message board, sadly.
I'm heterosexual, but i have to say i have nothing against homosexuals. I fully respect them (when the said person isn't a total ass anyway) and their choices, as they respect ours after all.
Actually, i hate to say "them" when i refer to the homosexual community. It's like "they" are different from us, which isn't the case at all.

Heh, agreed PR, I know there will be many stupid remarks about homosexuality. 
I'm heterosexual. I have nothing against those who are gay as long as the ones who are don't hit on me. Even then, I'll more than likely tell him I don't bat for that team and go about my business. I actually have a really good friend who is homosexual and I hang with him every chance I get. He's a cool guy and he knows I don't go for guys and so he doesn't hit on me. He doesn't act homosexual either, he's a normal guy and you'd never think he went that way. I'm not homophobic or anything either. Only homosexuals I worry about are the flaming ones. The guys who are just super obviously homosexual. They walk funny and speak shrilly and flirt with you. They scare me.

Well, I'm hoping if someone is homosexual they will come out and admit it. The forums my brother frequently visits is full of homosexuals. They'll proudly admit it, and why not? It's their choosing and if you're confidant in yourself what's the problem with saying which gender you prefer?

These guys are pretty damn rare to find, though. My uncle is homosexual, and he told me that inside the "community" these guys are regarded as "bad publicity", if i can put it that way. These are the guys responsible for all the hatred and mockery homosexuals receive.

Exactly. If it were not for them then I don't think people would have as much a problem with homosexuals as they do.
At my school there is a flaming homosexual. Everyone hates him but he still comes each and every day, flaming. I wish bad things upon this guy, I can't stand him.

I really dont like homos. I think they go against nature, against what God told us, made us for, and all that sutff. its just contrary to what a human being is. even like that, I dont care about them... I respect that, altough I dont agree with their life style. and of course I hate when they are "extremelly homosexual" as stated before.

I'm hetero,but like most everyone else here I have nothing against gays(sorry I was never really PC),but I don't think that people are just born gay.I believe that something traumatic has to happen to you at a young age for you to turn out gay.I'v personally known quite a few gay guys/girls in my life,and about 80% of them were earthier raped or sexual abused at a young age.

I am hetero and yes there are homosexuals here at GTP, I know of at least one. I said something that was taken as an offensive remark, but I quickly apologized. I meant and I mean no offensive to any gay people.
I find it interesting the reasons why some individuals hate homosexuals. I believe there are three main reasons for it among many.¹They had or know someone who had a bad encounter with a homosexual as stated before,²they were brain washed from a religious point of view which was also stated, and ³the most frequent reason I believe is the aggressor who is not secure of his own sexuallty and feels threatened by the mere idea of homosexuality.
In any case, I would like this topic to not conclude that we are trying to signal out gay people at this forum, but thought this would be an interesting and different topic to discuss.
