Seriously on a site devoted to cars how many people here do you expect to be gay. And I too know a flamer. In fact, we used to be best friends years ago, and since he came out of the closet, he's so desperate for attention he talks about how queer he is all the time. I can't take it anymore and now I don't even talk to him anymore.

I think he, as well as others, acts that way because he prepared himself to defend his lifestyle and is discovering that nobody really cares.

He waisted soo much time living in fear to "come out of the closet", and finding that nobody cares is leaving him feel aggravated, so he is trying to start an argument about the issue it seems.

Oh well, just a thought.:D

One of the most famous GT3 players in the world happened to reveal that he's a homosexual in the Opinions forum here.

I'm heterosexual, but heck, let them do whatever they want-- As long as it's two consenting adults and they're not having an orgy in my backyard (read: Ignoring my rights), then what's the big deal? It's like multi-racial marriages: Once frowned upon, but eventually the public realized it was A-O-K, and I expect the same to happen with homosexuality (and homosexual marriages).

Who was that? I know it's not Mr P or Zero. Could it have been GVX?

Whoa, nice feedback in this thread, not spammy. Neat. :)

Read the Gay Marriages thread, and you'll find out.

I'm heterosexual, by the way.

Who cares, really? Will it change the way you'll look at this member?

I think that's a fair observation - I remember a guy I worked with many years ago who was outrageously gay. He was a good bloke, but if he had a few drinks on board he was a bit inclined to pull out the ol "You're Homophobic!" soapbox.

We pulled him up on it one night and told him that if we had an issue with him being gay, we wouldn't drink with him, and that the only reason we'd stop drinking with him was if he continued being an arsehole. I think he realised at that point that none of the people he hung around with really had an issue with his sexuality - I don't recall him doing his little routine after that.

It does seem to be a bit of a complex with some homosexual people - thinking about it, I wonder if, since it was probably very hard for them to 'come out' to friends and family, they don't wear their sexuality as some sort of 'bravery' badge. On another angle, perhaps they interpret silence on the subject as people treating the subject as 'taboo'.

No, not really. It'd just be interesting to know. Like, I know what some of the members here look like, it's interesting. Knowing which member(s) is gay would be sort of like that. Know what I mean?

Hetero

Pretty interesting poll, looks like GTplanet is a pretty hetero filled place. When you compare the result of the poll with the RL statistic then we are a bit short on homosexuals. Who knows, maybe in general, homosexuals don't play a hell of a lot of gamez (GT3 especially, cars are quite manly?!).

Hi, glad to meet ya. :P

PunkRock, it was nice to see your post in this thread... I once saw a post from you at the GTF that led me to believe that you might not have the most gay-friendly perspective, but that's obviously not the case. Go you!

Yes, I'm gay. *shocker*

Hey, someone not afraid to be themself. 👍

I am also duly amused that I am regarded as 'one of the most famous GT3 players in the world'.

Sage, you have made the Christmas card list. :P

I suppose my reply in the gay marriage thread is long overdue...

Hello.

What I meant was with all the 9 year olds we have on this board, I expected them to come along with all the 'Ur GaAAYyYYY, u FAgOttT!!1!' comments, which I know some people may be sensitive about.

:D Well, I think between GTP and GTF, you are one of the most well-known people who keeps up on the world of GT (especially with your website), and your GT3 FAQ was the first I ever used, so... :)

Anyway, *me trots off to the Gay Marriage thread*
