I didn't know you were allowed to have "proudest GT6 moment" twice in one evening, but that it was I got to experience.
First I managed to out-qualify Dusty in the rain by 0.100 and then I go and win a non-points race at my favorite track Monaco;

Thank you everybody who participated today for making it possible. :)

You didn't fall in the "bottom of the page trap" this time ! :lol:
;)
Hey guys! I have watched hockey in Stockholm
Cool. Was it Djurgårdens IF versus HV71 at Hovet?

[QUOTE="

I curse PD every waking hour that the Z8 can not be fitted with snow tyres.[/QUOTE]

Every waking hour Jocke? You sure you're not taking it just a little bit too personally? ;)

Cheers, Zo. (Roll on tomorrow night.) (I can't get the hang of this quoting thing, grrrrrr.) (And well done on out qualifying Dusty!)

I can't get the hang of this quoting thing, grrrrrr.
The neat and easy way now (a fairly recent change) is to...

Highlight the piece of text you want to quote. A little quote/reply tag should appear underneath. Select reply. The highlighted area should now be automatically put into the text window already placed between the required quote "symbols". You just need to start typing your message to continue. 👍

Note - if you select the +quote option in the initial tag, it adds the text to the multi quote menu. It can be useful - but a little more complex.
And if you want to quote and reply to the whole message just hit the big reply button, then start typing.

He's very serious about his Z8's :D

Thanks for that If, a very sensible procedure it seems. Even someone as incapable as me shouldn't mess that up........

Did anyone get through Suzuka without picking up damage? It's wonderfully tricky!

Cheers Zo.

Well technically I did, but it was a strange race for me.
Because I was second on the grid and had qualified ahead of Dusty by one tenth of a second,
that was all I could think of before the lights came on so I completely forgot I needed to hold the
brake pedal down. Naturally, as a result I jumped the start and was penalized with a 5-second penalty.

Not the end of the world but after the penalty my car was still stuck in "100% braking mode".
No matter what I did the car wouldn't accelerate and just cruised along at 20km/h all race long will full brakes applied.
Obviously some sort of glitch or bug on PD's side.

By the time Dusty crossed the finish line taking the chequered flag (lap 5) I had only just arrived at Spoon (still on lap 1).

One experience richer though :) And it didn't matter to me because I was still so pleased with the qualifying result.

I will have the race results up in a couple hours time, thanks for your patience guys.

That's very unlucky Jocke. Let's hope it doesn't happen on Tuesday.

Cheers, Zo.

I've banged matte black on my motor (good for ten MPH, I'm told) for Tuesday. If this clashes with anyone, please let me know and I'll change it.

Don't worry Jocke I picked damages for you, I pitted twice.

On first lap someone spun just before me and that sent me off track. I had both front wheels and engine damaged.
And then after pitting, I pushed a little too hard to catch up the pack and I spun and crashed again... So I retired. :D

All my races were so bad Saturday ! 👎
At Le Mans I couldn't practice at all before the race so I picked the usual racing line and braking points. By "usual" I mean the LMP racing line, so obviously that didn't fit the slippy Z8 very well...
And again at Apricot Hill, my race was going ok until I spun - where I never ever spun since GT1 - after the parabolic !

Apricot Hill images

If you watch your replay's you will notice how the mechanics ran out with tyres and fuel as the cars were on the grid waiting for the green flag o_O
Who were they servicing?

Thanks to @buybon355 I had a race-long battle with Jeff Gordon. Pretty neat to see that helmet in my rear view.

Most exciting corner if you ask me. 240km/h or 150mph on entry into turn 1. The sense of speed is exhilirating.

The results board said that I only completed sector 1 and that took me 12 minutes & 46 seconds. :lol:

Can you see @Wayne Gratiot? He's right there behind @Dustybin. Crazy.

This Tuesday (tomorrow) will see the same tracks and same settings - #572.

I'd be careful about that guys. You can get arrested in some places for having a great wee with your ding dongs.
I know :lol:

Lol that's me quoting from the Murray walker commentary library - Probably not a great idea. "I can see him from my ear phones " Ok Murray, time for cocoa and slippers
Have you seen that old TV commercial with Murray and Damon Hill? When they ate at Pizza Hut.

Hello guys, imma definitely join tonight. enough of not racing. The hell with late nights, I'll join tonight even if I have to get coffee through IV.
If anyone can find time, could saturday races' replays be uploaded? So I can have an idea of how fast I have to be in order to be part of the fight?

Jocke
I keep missing Z8 Tuesdays. Sorry I only jumped in for one race last week.

I'm working late tonight so doubt will be able to join.
Tonight's races sound awesome. :cool:
Have fun tonight;)
:cheers:

I tried in the past to capture videos. Bought some equipment a couple years ago but could never get it to work so I gave up. Sad but true.
Dusty's fastest lap times;
Le Mans - 4:29.692
Apricot - 1:29.522
Suzuka - 2:29.130

Edit;
I could e-mail you the replays if you'd like.

Thanks, Suts. Hopefully we'll see each other next Z8 event or in the Mini's or the Cappuccino's. 👍

Thanks @JockeP22.
Although I have to confess I wasn't thinking about @Dustybin when I was talking about being in the fight:dunce:
I'll do fine with the race times.

By the way, I just opened a very early test lobby.

edit: lobby closed, looks like I'm gonna be slow tonite...
