Turnaround race?

The kilt is there, just it's underneath the overalls.
Of course.
I should imagine it's hard to get flame retardant kilts.

So watch me lap Dusty now..
It just needs the two words swapping around to make this correct. :P

I normally travel with Irn Bru & shortbread close at hand.
I'd forgotten to mention these two. Must try an Irn Bru again, I used to quite like that. Had some shortbread for Xmas - it's taking some time to get through it!

Moving PS3 back to gaming corner now!
You have a whole gaming corner!? :)

cgg
Only problem is, is there an Iceberg Green!?
Well there's is a Iceberg lettuce - and it's green. You just need to colour match it.

I'll be using a Z8 set-up given to me by bb

Gonna build a new Z8 for CS :)

Jeepers, we're getting a bit professional around here fellas. I'm going to have to faff around with some settings for a while, and then decide that I've messed everything up and go back to 'default', like I usually do.

On that front Jocke, to hold it down at 490pp with a stock engine, the car needs to be up around 1600kg. Id there going to be a 1600kg minimum weight, or will people be turning their engines down?

Cheers, Zo. (Just making the point because, at full 1600kg I can imagine a fair bit of tyre wear happening within 15 laps. At 1350kg, probably not so much.)

Yeah, seeing the setups some people have it really isn't much. Just a beanbag in front of a loaner display in a drafty semi-storage room and some cabling :D sad really ;)

My wife insists I should rest tonight and not let my cold get worse _again_. I do not agree as usual but she might have a point... As usual. Don't you just hate it when wife (girlfriend/mother...) is right...

And I had collected a soundtrack to go with the race... Usually I race without music but got inspired by something said on anothed thread :D

Hope to race with you guys soon. Been too long! Have Fun!

Zolon, the only thing to abide to is the pp setting. Parts and stuff is up to you. And besides the car is 485 stock unless I'm very much mistaken so there's not much one can do anyway.

Settings? What's a setup? :dopey:

You mean you all don't just jump in and hope for the best then?

--------------------------------------------------------------

@Cu3e - Although I've got a wheel/desk setup your beanbag sounds a lot more comfortable than the rickety old office chair I've currently got to sit on (my old one broke). My back is not looking forward to this long race!

Still recovering from flu
I've heard a nice sauna cures that.

Where can I find that colour?
I didn't think I would remember but I found it again. You can get Iceberg Metallic from the Toyota Prius G '09.
Must try an Irn Bru again, I used to quite like that.
Irn what now? :dopey:
sad really ;)
@JockeP22 on the podium?...
I had about 80 metres left to go and I would have gotten that last podium place if I didn't forget how to drive a car.
Which I did.
I made a huge error in the final corner and got to a standstill only to watch gamer sail by.
He must have loled, I know I did. I got going again and ended up 0.652 behind him.

Oh man I have been so lucky recently near the finish line...I have been getting 3rd place finishes all week long mainly thanks to infamous amounts of luck
Two Sundays ago at Sick's Trans Am 2 in Motegi I raced and fought Pimiki from the start only to pass him for 3rd place in the last corner...
I got 3rd places all night long at la Sierra with the mini club and still can't believe it since many of the guys who finished behind are much faster with the lightweight fwd.
Last Sunday, again in Trans Am 2 at Daytona, I was resigned to a fifth place finish after a lousy start and several big mistakes.
But before the race timer elapsed, the far away leading car (Mako or Lex?) forces us all in an extra lap causing a very worn tires running 4th place car to spin, just before 3rd position Pimi runs out of fuel and here I was on an undeserved podium again.
But yesterday was above all in terms of luck. I was actually fighting with sleep before the race started and had the hardest time trying to be consistent without the driving line. I actually got my fastests laps when chasing Dusty at first, cgg for a very short time and Jocke for the most part of the race.
Jocke was faster than me through most corners and he was quickly digging a gap when ahead.
After he made a few mistakes when the tires were losing grip, I could see him again ahead and it actually helped a lot with the sleepy eyelids issue.
We then quickly exchanged positions a couple of times. Going into the final lap though, Jocke was back ahead and building a safe cushion to secure the 3rd place. I remember saying to myself in the middle of the final lap as Jocke's lead was looking more and more definitive, now the only thing than can get me on the podium is him messing up the final chicane big time...
And 1 minute later in a cloud of white smoke with all wheels locked, there he was, handing me the 3rd place

And I really did my best, ask @IfAndOr ...
Yes indeed, you were certainly hanging on to it for the first 8 laps. We had a great battle going on, I couldn't get past you without contact. I was sorry to see you spin out! To much booty waving in the end. :P

Irn what now?
Irn Bru - It puts hairs on your chest and removes rust off metal!

You were pushing very hard but very proper!!! You never touched me, respect! 👍

Sorry for leaving. I've had a hard time with GT6 at the moment, and despite the very good company, I've not really enjoyed it. I'll see if I can get back into it though.

If you're not really enjoying it, then there's probably little point in doing it cg. But I must admit, I find it a lot more fun when I'm involved in a dice, and was looking forward to scrapping over second with you for fifteen hard laps, if I could stay on your pace.

I understand that Jocke's going to arrange for the track to be lined with scantily dressed nubile young women at the next meeting, so that could be worth turning up for.

Cheers, Zo.

Drat, I thought they were there for the last race. Well that's what I was driving around slowly at the back looking out for. I'd have gone for the win if I'd have known. :)

Don't get me wrong, I was loving the battle, and still enjoy being at the front. I'm just out of practise I guess and was getting really easily frustrated when I made mistakes, so when I lost the lead I was angry :grumpy:. Maybe if you and Dusty would let me win I would be less likely to rage quit. I'll try again to get my hand back in, especially at this next race!

looks to have been a good event
I really liked my battle with gk.

Oh man I have been so lucky recently near the finish line...
That race recap above was wonderful, gk. 👍

Sorry but no. My cheque bounced.
There's a word I haven't heard in a long time. Drat. :) I like it.
cgg
especially at this next race
Today I will use the Darth Vader room/club for three short races. You're always welcome, cg.
But please stop being so gosh darned fast.

Ooh, like this jocke, favorite track, comfort soft, rain, darkness - looking forward to it. Cheers for the nod too btw.
Up for another close battle BB? The last one we had at this track was great.

Glad you're doing one in the reverse layout Jocke, I think I prefer that. The tight chicane flows better. Shame it's in the rain though because there's a nice sunset to watch over the hills in the reverse direction.
Perhaps 2 races each way. :sly:
