I've been playing gt2 on the old school controller without analog sticks. Whoever it wss that races with the arrows, you get a standing ovation from me... That's some rough stuff man. I think its @Dolph Drago
Yes, I do use the d-pad for for steering when I race. :D There are exceptions here and there. Practicing and qualifying at Apricot Hill, I used the stick for the long left hander before the back straight and also the final turn. It was much smoother and less jerky for those couple of turns (at least for the BRZ).

The only other times I tend to use stick are when using the karts, FGT, or X1 (or variations of such), the banked turns at the Daytona oval, and when rallying or drifting. And I'm not into drifting, so I don't use it that much for that. I just do enough to get gold on those events for the credits, then I'm done.

Update .... got my new Hauppauge HD PVR2 today. Hooked it up and recorded a replay from a Monday night race and edited it this evening. Finally, something that works the way it's supposed to ! It doesn't have any of the issues that the Elgato had I'm quite happy with the results. I'll be uploading my first video from it tonight and it'll be up first thing in the morning. I chose to use a "non-Turtle" event as I had a replay saved that I knew would be very easy to edit and I wanted to see if all the files would import to the editing software before I tackled the more complicated task of the Turtle race edit. I don't know if you guys want me to post it in here or not since it's not a Turtle Event. It is an exciting video though featuring a Turtle member :dopey: If not, you can just check out the channel if you want to see it. Oh by the way, after I did the recording, I found a secondary bit of software that was part of the Hauppauge download that I didn't know was there .... it will let me record at a better resolution so the future vids might even be better :)
Looks like the largest Division will have some graphic support now :gtpflag:

I tried all that port forwarding & DMZ with a static IP and was never able to improve my connx. At the time my speeds were 1mbps up and 3down and I was only experiencing problems during peak hours. Which is one of the things I like about Enduro running such a late start time. When I started running in HST & STaR it became unbearably slow. Ultimately I had to cut the purse string and shell out the do re mi's for the faster connx. I'm now running the highest possibly speed available in my erea @ 5mbps up and 30 down 👍 but it's not cheap @ $60/mo 👎 I cut the cable to make up for the extra expense as I don't watch much regular tv mostly Netflix, Youtube etc.

hey @Socket68 check out this DMZ for you man, i know you have always had a little lag trouble since gt5, which we have got use to and find our ways around you  as well as @VrooM VrooM Check the DMZ out..might help you out.
Thanks I will check in o it phish. Here lately seems all I do is work and sleep. I go days now without even turning on my ps3. It's sad for me.

But if my memory serves me rite still, one of the last times we raced to together was a monza in the HST series. I do remember passing you and winning one of those races. I was in the Ford gt no stripe you were in the saleen.
I reeled the big phish in and mounted him on my wall. Ha ha. Miss racing with you. You seem to bring out the best in me. Your a hard man to catch let alone pass.

It's all relative my friend ... I'd kill that kind of a deal ..... we're paying $50 a month for 6.15 Dn and 0.614 upload ... takes me 6 hours to upload an 8 minute You Tube video

Now I'm confused. Was originally told to have high connection for average gameplay. Then finding out that I don't need a big speed to play. :dunce: What world am I living in?

Now I kind of wished I was there for some racing. BO2 did not serve me well. :(

You don't need a great download and upload to play. You need a good ping and the least amount of hops between your ip the host server

@BustedFoSho run a splitter before your modem and hook it to your tv. You'll get basic channels that way.
I do LOL even get history channel and FX on the sly that way ;)

True my biggest problem was my wife and her dang kindle which gets fired up every time I get on the PS3 which is justified but annoying just the same. At least its better than her smartphone b/c now she can stream most of her media rather than downloadind.

On the OP, I see a GT CoolText Graphics Generator graphic. I'm guess there should be an image there, but it's not loading?

Well I changed it back just made each thing bigger so its easier to see..ill continue on it though

imo, there should be more balance between the game audio and the music, but that's just me.

Not sure what you mean by "more balance" ? The fact of the matter is that there is hardly any "game audio" with this car, other than the occasional sound of tire squeal. There is very little engine sound. All I hear is crowd noise and tire squeal so not much to look forward to in that regard

Alright. Nevermind. Boo to Toyota for making a quiet car.
