• Turtle Racing League is proud to have a very special event for you turtles this week! This week we will be featuring a 3 30 minute race Rally WRC Championship. What is Flex?​

• The FLEX Racing Series has only a few basic parameters in order to create maximum flexibility in the race format. Race sessions will be on Friday night at 10pm Eastern / 7pm Pacific. Qualifying for the 1st race will always be "fastest first". "Reverse grid" will be used for subsequent races if they are held on the same track and use the same car. "Reverse Grid" will be optional if the same track is used with different cars. Damage may be heavy or light. However, it may only be heavy in 1 of the 3 races in the schedule update. After every 3 races the next 3 races will be announced. This is not a points race series.

The "Golden Rule" of Motorsports

"It is the responsibility of the overtaking driver, meaning the car that is attempting to execute the pass, to make sure that the pass is made cleanly and incident free."

The reason The "Golden Rule" of Motorsports is the first thing you read when you get to Turtle Racing League is because if you do not believe this rule applies to you, then you do not need to read any further because this league is not for you. You are encouraged to read and adhere to the GTPlanet Online Racing Rules and exercise Good Racecraft at all times, especially in turn 1.

-How to Access the Turtle-Home Lounge-

1- Click on GT Mode when you first get on GT5

2- Click on the Community tab on you're left

3- Scroll all the way down, Turtle-Home is at Level 0

4- Click on Turtle-Home and move to the right having your arrow on a coffee cup, Click on the Coffee cup and Join

-Rage Quitting is not allowed, Please type in the chatbox if you have to leave or in the thread.

Policies

The First Turn Rule - It is the policy of this league for you to hold your position in turn 1 and not try to improve it unless the following situations occur: 1) The driver directly in front of you is asleep on the start. 2) The driver directly in front of you runs off course with at least 2 wheels off the track. 3) Obvious race incidents that must be avoided. 4) If you are able to fully draft past someone without incident or disruption to the other driver(s) with a reasonable distance before approaching the first turn. Holding your position in the first turn is limited to the first turn on the first lap. This rule is in place for 2 reason: (1) to effectively avoid incidents in the first turn, and (2) so that drivers who are being careful and doing their part to avoid incidents in the 1st turn of are not taken advantage of. There is no sense in causing an incident in the congestion of the first turn. You can not win the race on the 1st turn or even the 1st lap. If a complaint is filed, the decision we make will be one that promotes an incident free first turn.

Dive Bombing


Dive bombing is unacceptable, and only results in incidents. It is not the same as passing under braking. Dive-bombing is when a trailing car intentionally brakes late to dive underneath the car in front of them as they are turning into a corner. The trailing driver must move to the low groove for at least 3-4 seconds prior to corner entry so that the leading driver can see the trailing drivers intentions in his mirror. However, running the low groove is not a guarantee that he will allow you to pass, it is only an indication that you wish to pass on the low side. The trailing driver must also have gained at least a half a car length lead before braking begins so the leading driver can see his position and avoid contact.

Race Incidents


Legitimate complaints are encouraged, they insure a better racing environment for everyone. Complaints should be addressed by "Private Message" to the race steward of the race in which the incident occurred. It is a matter to respect every Turtle on the track, as we are competing against each other on the track, we all must remain clean at all times. If you know you made a mistake on the track by pushing a turtle off track, please let them gain their position back. We are Turtle Racing League, and we want to be remembered as a respectful clean racer towards any racer out there. Please include race number, lap number, and time of incident. A ruling will be announced after a video review by an independent steward. All racing incidents or racing related issues shall be dealt with privately and under no circumstance mentioned publicly.

The Turtle are about to get a lot of snow on their shells, as i bet they all had heaters in their shells! We also had a Very Special Guest joining us last Saturday Night, C.R.A.P was able to join us, and have a little fun in the WRC Rally Challenge! As all 5 Turtle Come to the grid followed by 2 C.R.A.P Members, the race begins, and booomm!! Da Turtles are off to make da snow fly high! RacingOtaku86 and DolphDrago have a good early battle up front, but the Canadian knows the snow, and RacingOtaku86 uses that as an advantage for him, allowing him to get a massive gap over DolphDrago! RacingOtaku86 was able to capture the WRC Rally Challenge Race 1 victory. DolphDrago followed behind RacingOtaku86, grabbing a great 2nd Place Finish! Man!! Those Shells are filled with all that snow on their shell! Someone slow them down to clean off their Shells!! BionicDerp started to lose time to GTP_Ph7shr, as GTP_Ph7shr was getting really fast towards the end of the race, BionicDerp was still able to hold off GTP_Ph7shr just by 0.025! Wow!!! They both gave it all they had in the final lap, trying to push their snowy tires to the limit to grab the bronze podium! BionicDerp placed 3rd, followed by GTP_Ph7shr in 4th Place! ThethirdRoy was sticking behind GTP_Ph7shr, but could never get the move on the Fish, though ThethirdRoy kept it consistent, and came away with a 5th Place Finish! ANFD was the first member to Represent C.R.A.P, as he may not be that well in rally, he was doing very well for the first couple times on track! ANFD finished 6th Place at the end, HeathenPride also from C.R.A.P joined us, but had to leave halfway into the race due to taking family places! Heathenpride while racing, was performing very impressive!

After a crazy snow event, the turtles take a little 10 minute drive to Eiger Nordwand! Knukken from C.R.A.P and Jay*Doc meet up with us, and they both say to us, "WE WANT TO CHALLENGE YOU ALL! We are In it to Win it!! Eat my Dust!!" The Turtle and C.R.A.P Members took on their challenge, as they joined the race. RacingOtaku86 continues to dominate the WRC Rally Challenge bringing home yet another win for Canada! Followed by DolphDrago who had many battles with RacingOtaku86 up front, yet couldn't handle the Seca Man A.k.A RacingOtaku86! DolphDrago came away with a 2nd Place Finish. Though, Watch out Turtles! BionicDerp has some Derp in him on the Dirt! He came flying up to DolphDrago, but couldn't get to DolphDrago in time. BionicDerp was getting fast towards the end of the race finishing just 2 seconds behind DolphDrago, for BionicDerp collecting another Bronze Finish. GTP_Ph7shr and ThethirdRoy had another great battle for 4th Place, Though with some Fish Speeds, the Fish was able to separate himself from ThethirdRoy, GTP_Ph7shr finished 4th Place, and ThethirdRoy finishing 5th Place. Knukken made his first appearance in Turtle Racing League representing C.R.A.P, and did very well, Knukken Kept ThethirdRoy and GTP_Ph7shr in sight, though he couldn't get up to them for a clear pass, Knukken kept his lap times consistent throughout the race, which Knukken got 6th Place to finish it out. ANFD and Jay*Doc had a good early battle, a classic Turtle vs. C.R.A.P Battle between 2 great respectful guys, though ANFD was able to get away from Jay*Doc, which got ANFD a 7th Place Finish, and Jay*Doc wrapped up Round 2 of the WRC Rally Challenge getting 8th Place.

Knukken was able to get C.R.A.P their first Podium by finishing 3rd Place! Knukken was very fast in the rain though, once he got used to it, he got pretty fast in the rain! Hey Phish... for the Finale, I'm going to bump up my horsepower just a bit. I'm going to switch my beamer from a CSL to a BMW GTR. I'm still going to start the race on sports hards. Are we allowed to change compounds after that?

I probably won't be around for this weekend's race... I've been taking a break waiting for the finale and GT 6. I'll be full steam after that
