To the DS3 discussion, yes, I do use a controller and as Busted said, I am quite fast with it. My scheme doesn't use the shoulder buttons for the brake/throttle, but rather I use the right analog stick for that.
 
So I'd registered, and was told to report to Division 2/A by Ph1sher, but was asked to leave because a league member was coming in?

I was running 3rd less than 5 laps into first race when my game froze up. The gear indicator was flashing like crazy (it was at the end of the long straight), but other than that, the entire rest of the screen was frozen. It didn't kick me out, so I don't know if I lagged out or if it was just a coincidence. And it wasn't a PS3 issue, because I was able to quit the game using the middle PS button on my DS3. In any case, both races were exciting, despite the guys who lagged out in the first race. Luckily no one got disconnected the second race that I know of, though I never was able to see Johnsom...

I had a fantastic battle again this week with gr8racrs. Your car was pretty jumpy for a couple of laps at the beginning of that second race, but it seemed to settle down. Our race was back and forth. I think several mistakes were made on both sides. :lol:

Nice job to Racing on the first win and lightning in the 2nd! 👍

What a night in D1! Crazy mental racing in race one by Otaku86 and Myself for the lead, i just made minor mistakes like skidding on some turns the last couple of laps and Racing was able to pull away from me! Looks like the PD said oh hey everyone! Lets Disconnect some Turtles in race 1! that would be awesome! well in all good means they all returned for race 2, and lookes like the turtles scared away PD with the amazing skills of the rapping Fish tearing up the house! Another crazy mental race in race 2, Lightning got through the pack like a mad man and flew away, i think he made a slight mistake as i got stuck in traffic and racing got by me and took off and almost got lightning. oh andd DolphDrago likes grass! yeah he spun out early, but fought himself back into the race passing several guys. I think you could say that this may have been

1 of the most mental Painful stressful awesome legit awesomely race nights with turtle racing league you could say that right?? ehh yeah!

Anyways to chop things off, tonight was awesome! great learning experience! I made mistakes, and i learned from it! i think we had like 11-12 guys, eh now thats crazy good, though i think D2 still beat us with a full room.. danget D1 Tacos!! cmon! Anyways thanks everyone for coming out! Great Racing

Mine did that last night during Practice and tonight during qualifying wondering if this game my be a bit to much for this system to handle
 
Practicing, I got 2 36 086, and my best lap from tonight was 2 34 3(?). Competition brings out the best in me. lol

11th (+33 sec) to 3rd (+18 sec) is my highlight. I just don't understand what I was doing. :lol:

Early in race two, I may have been shouting "Y U DO DIS" at gr8... :P

Yeah, you were certainly flying. I was trying to get by Hector, with gr8 on my butt, and you were reeling us in. I eventually messed up, allowing you and gr8 to get by me. Then you just took off. Like my earlier post, gr8's car was jumpy and all over the place early, I'm guessing due to his connection, but it settled down later in the race. I managed to slam into the back of his car coming OUT of turn 1 at the beginning, putting me behind and giving me damage. But then all hell broke loose up in the hills as I watched cars jumping up and down, and eventually yourself and gr8 wrecked. What a race.

By the way, I'm interested in what my best lap time was in the first race. Hopefully someone (who didn't get disconnected) saved the replay and can post the results. I think I ran a 1:35 something while trying to hang with the leaders. I just wonder what lap time I could have put down later in the race with a lighter fuel load.

Results will be posted once the Division Stewards fill out information for each division, which means Pictures and Results will likely be posted on Tuesday or Wednesday.

What buttons are you using for gas / brake? I've always used the default X for gas and □ for brake. I guess it seems like R2 for gas and L2 for brake might be better because you can feather them, but I think it might take a while to get used to.

I used L2&R2 for a couple months and it seemed to work fine and your correct it takes a bit of time to get used to. After a couple of month I wasn't seeing much improvement in my racing but I doubt it had anything to do with the controllers configuration LOL. So I started to ask around and that's when RacingOtaku turned me onto the R-Toggle. I was already using the L-Toggle for steering as I'm sure you are (the D-Pad is impossible) & although it felt strange at first It was the obvious choice for Acceleration/Brake=Forward/Backward R-Toggle. It's much easier to achieve maximum throttle and breaking control due to its analog qualities and it only took me about a week to get used to and about 2 months to master. Thanks again RacingOtaku your advice has always been the best in just about every facet of GT & TRL your an invaluable resource of knowledge and I wouldn't hesitate to ask you for your advice on just about anything at this point 👍 He might seem uptight but he's really not he's just a bit...quirky and needs to be taken with a grain of salt. I don't know why this became an introspective on you I guess it's just another way of showing my appreciation because I wouldn't be a Turtle without RacingOtaku.
 
Good racing everyone, sorry for ditching the second race early but I was in last and pretty frustrated and I think I ran close to my mental limit of laps that day. Mount Panorama is a great track and I hope it is a series regular.

Also, I am a DS3 user and I use L2/R2 for brake/throttle, left stick for steering, and right stick for shifting. I'm not that great or anything, but it's something I'm really comfortable with.

Same thing happened to me in D2 room about 45mins prior to races. I used the PS button also but I turned off the system as I have also been experiencing the three beep glitch where the console powers down incorrectly when you try to exit the game via the PS button. Deemin & Ph1sh were there but I didn't get the chance to verify what they saw.

My screen froze with 10 seconds to go on the Qualifying Clock. Had to re-boot the PS3 to get back.

i think PD like said, hey guys lets kick out some Turtles in Race 1! :lol: we had troubles before the race 1 and race 1. We had no troubles in race 2 however...so i found that a bit odd

Turtle Racing League- UPDATE

Starting this Saturday, Turtle Racing League will be expanding to 3 divisions due to the high amount of turtles showing up in D2 especially as well as a great amount in D1! I will be editing the Drivers List today, if you see your name in the wrong place after awhile, please PM me and we can discuss where you believe you belong to run with the pack. Thank you all!

From This Day on, Turtle Races will start (Qualy start) At LATEST of 10:05pm Eastern/9:05pm Cental/7:05pm Pacific. The only way we will wait up is if you post in the thread that you will be late. Other than that, races will begin around there, and will continue from there on, Division Hosts have been opening up the room an hour before race time roughly, so theres plently of time to hop in the room.

Also!

Its Clear, Everyone! Connection was a problem in Qualy/Race 1 for all of us, both divisions, there is nothing i can do about it other than say, reset your router, clear your cache. Scarecrow937 will be hosting this saturday for better connection, i will still show up, just seeing if this makes an difference, as of D2, I know SpeedDeemin has good connection however there was still disconnections. Roy has decent connection. If there is anyone currently in D2 that has great Connection, please PM me. Speed and Roy will continue to be the main Division Hosts, Please keep in mind guys, as im used to running all divisions (When we ran 1 division) But with the amount guys, just know they both are starting off, Roy and Speed Both did awesome in there first start, there learning, getting better at hosting!

My system also froze up prior to the start of the 2nd race. I had to reboot and by the time I made it back the race was 3 laps in. I did take a few laps and followed @LeoStrop. He was crushing that course.

I have had many talks over the past week for 3 divisions, and i would like to announce our Division 3 Host @BustedFoSho However When Jaydoc and MBOBB can host for D3, they will be the main host, they just happen to be very busy on saturday Nights.


Turtle League Stewards - Please Keep an Eye on the Drivers List, before kicking out anybody to see if they are a turtle or not, If any questions weather they are on race night, use the google doc chat box to ask the question, we had 1 turtle get kicked out because the host thought he wasn't a turtle, i have messaged him and things are all good, won't happen again.

Thanks All! Just been a super busy week to make sure every division is Set

Results will be posted either monday or Tuesday
