Optional Team Championship

Please note that there has been a change in how drivers are placed into RCS Divisions.​
  • Open to Active Drivers that meet the below requirements.
  • No extra racing is required.
  • Teams consist of two drivers which divisional total must equal 6 or greater.
  • Example – D1 driver can team up with a D5 driver (1+5=6) or two D3 drivers on the same team (3+3=6).
  • Division assignments based on the following:
    • New Race Car Series Drivers
      • S.N.A.I.L. Drivers - Based on Sunday S.N.A.I.L. division assignments at the conclusion of the previous Wednesday Night Series Season.
      • Non S.N.A.I.L. Drivers – New drivers will need to complete a full season (Minimum 5 Races) before they can compete in the optional Team Championship in order to be placed in the proper RCS Division assignment.
    • Existing Race Car Series Drivers
      • Each season, all drivers will be evaluated and placed in a RCS Division based in previous race data from within the RCS races ONLY.
  • Teams can’t change until after Wed Night Race Car Season is finished.
  • All teams must change team mates at the end of each season
  • Points awarded based on point system above.
  • Team Champions qualify for All Star Race.
  • Please paint both cars in the same team colors (body/wheel).

Welcome to the series Ice. Sadly, #22 is already taken. Please take a look at the driver list (both active and Part time) in the bottom of the OP and select a number that has not been chosen. Thanks

#6 is already in use by one of the part time drivers. Sorry but you will need to pick a number that is not in use by either an active or part time driver list int he OP.

You need to re-read how the divisions for RCS are now determined

Each driver will be allowed to cast 1 vote per number of races participated in previous season.
(If you raced in all 8 races, you get 8 votes. If you raced in 1 race, you get 1 vote)
Race Car earning the most votes by 11:15pm EDT Friday 9/26/14 will be chosen for Season 4.

Only votes submitted via GTPlanet Private Message (PM) will be counted!

Additionally

As with last season, we will have a "Driver Favorite Vote" for who you feel deserves to race in the season ending All Star race next week. You can vote for anyone who participated in the previous season that you feel showed good racecraft and sportsmanship. Please include your vote along with your season combo vote via PM. Winner will be announced Saturday Morning. Below are the names of drivers you can vote for:

Just a reminder that season 3 participants have less than 8 hours remaining to submit your vote for season 4 race car and driver favorite vote.
 
So the rules are a teensy bit confusing of a read but I'm sure it's no worse than the DTC that I run on Tuesdays ;)

So, no racing this Wednesday for us new guys? New season is in two weeks?

correct. Next wed is our season 3 all star race
 
And new guys do not vote for the three car choices I assume.

I'll figure out qualifying process as we go...and reread it some more to try to comprehend :)

Im in the process of sending a "new driver orientation" pm that will help explain some of the things going on. Look for it shortly
 
I can help since I was just added for Season 3. Qualifying looked confusing for me too at first. Basically show up at 8pm EST and set hot laps. Each week the first 10 slots are spoken for unless they confirm they're not racing. So at least, there will be 6 spots available for the race. From 8-9 you qualify to be one of those 6 or more spots. At 9, the qualified drivers stay in the room while the others leave, making room for the first 10 I mentioned. Then the qualifying for the actual race begins. Think of it like Q2 and Q3 in the current F1 format. The first Q session is just to solidify your spot on the grid. The second Q session determines your final grid position.
