I'm going be AWOL for the next couple of weeks for Christmas and the new year...hoping to head off on Thursday but we'll see how things go weather-wise and things like that.

I'll try to be there....can't promise anything since someone from Shaw is supposed to be coming out between 6pm and 8pm to check the TV and cable box since there's one channel which gets rubbish reception which is very annoying since I only ordered it last week :grumpy:

Generally Tuesday and Thursday would actually work for me. Before we do anything official we need to talk to kcheeb and bowler both of whom have events scheduled for Tuesday. Thursday is open as practice is not a scheduled event. What time is it cutting you off? Would an earlier start help or even work for you?

Last week we got booted around 11:45pm EST I think but this week it was much earlier. 11:05pm and we were on the last lap of the 2nd race. I'll see if I can do it again tonight...

That was my best effort yet, stupid server maintenance :banghead:

I don't think Bowler does his oval thing anymore and noone here does the kart thingy. Thursday is fine too...noone here does thurs practice either.

Bowler hasn't participated in a couple of weeks so he may have bailed...not sure.

I may send a couple of friends an invite (non league guys...but fast) to see if we can fill the room more.

Did some very minor research:

Last post in the Oval series was in Sept so I doubt he is running that.

None of the Kart guys run here and vice versa.

None of the Thursday practice crew run here and vice versa.

Wednesday is no good cuz I know Ken runs the Stamina dealio on Wednesday and he's sometimes 25-30%of our field ;)

We don't necessarily need to find a new permanent night for Cap racing right now...we can vote on that tomorrow or whatever. But I would like to continue or re-run last night's race before Tez goes out of town on Thurs. So how about tonight?

^ Even if there was another series on a night that we picked, would it matter? We used to have to deal with D2 or D3 lounge being available but that is no longer an issue.

@tezgm99 You better be there tonight.

Just a minor suggestion...maybe we can update the name of this series to reflect the fact that we run multiple drivetrains in one night. PP Cap racing isn't very descriptive to new people...whereas something like Multi Drivetrain Challenge or just Drivetrain something might let people know that we are really challenging people's ability to choose 4 different drivetrains within a certain PP limit in one night as opposed to just PP Cap. It should be somewhat more descriptive yet catchy ;)

I dunno...grabbing at straws here. It's all in the marketing ;)

now that i have a wheel and (somewhat) stable internet i'm going to try to start running this series again. If it means anything to you guys, tuesday works better for me.
Stop by tonight then. We got dumped near the end of race 2 so we are going to re-run last night. Big Willow qualifying track on the lower PP set of cars.

Not sure if you have raced with us since we have started splitting the PP totals. We can explain if you need more info.

Thanks Joe, I'll give it a shot if I have time to throw a lineup together. I'll read over the new rules and let you guys know if I have any questions!

Cool...basically we decide the PP total for the night...like 1800pp.
Then we split it into two parts...like 800pp and 1000pp.
Then you have to pick your cars as normal (same drivetrain requirements...1 FF, 1 FR, 1 4WD and 1 MR/RR) but two of them need to total 800pp and the other two need to total 1000pp.
So you have two cars in the 400pp range and two in the 500pp range now.
Then we decide which two cars will race the first two races...tonight it happens to be the lower PP cars going first. The last two races will be the higher PP cars.

First race tonight at Big Willow in the lower PP cars.

I hope all that garbage made sense... ;)

Omg a Star sighting...this can't be real.
Monday Night Football is killing me, last night was all I can take. I don't know why I want the Lions in the post season sooo badly, they wouldn't do anything anyways.

Practicing for a few.

Room closed, time to start dinner. See you guys tonight

Quick question! If your first two cars are under 800pp by lets say 25pp, can you go 25pp over the 1000pp limit? You would still be under the 1800 limit totally.
