you guys start at 10 or 8 ET? I need to plan ahead a touch before i join as far as car prep etc, but i like the sounds of it, where is the rules? Page 1 ill assume? :scared:

Yep, page 1 is where most of the easy info can be found :)

The 'harder' info is picking the right car for the right track....which is tough since we have three tracks (from the available groups) that the winner from the previous race can pick so if you get caught out with a combo that doesn't suit you, you're in trouble. Happened to all of us at least once

Question to the group. For the short term what do you think about Racing Officially Thursdays and having Tuesday be a practice/test/recruiting night?
I know Tuesday's was good for racing for everyone who raced in the last race. We never really discussed Thursday.

Maybe a vote on if you can make it on either day or which day you'd prefer?

I can probably make either but would prefer Tues.

First thought when seeing the MiTo seasonal was "nice, get to thrash another low PP car around". After nearly an hour of trying to gold the dang thing, my thoughts changed a tiny bit to "this is 🤬!"

Ultimately had to buy better suspension, better brakes and jack the PP up to the 400 limit before I even got close. Then it was all about chipping away until finally getting under the gold time

I'm glad it wasn't just me haha! I was about to say screw the wheel and bust out the old DS3, but after 20+ laps and over an hour I managed to beat it by .003 seconds. It was satisfying.

Oh I was struggling like crazy with it; car wouldn't turn, wouldn't accelerate off the corners without smoke pouring from the wheels and red-lining it even though I still had at least 10mph before needing to change gears, wouldn't brake good enough...you name it, I was complaining about it by the end

To me, the key was the first little chicane and the final turn. Once I could nail those on the same lap, it finally hit gold.

So, can we all agree on a good day to race? Tues or Thurs?

Tuesday works better for me, but I'm ok with either.

Guys. Can we hold off on doing anything official Tuesday. I am working behind the scenes to sort things out. Lets shoot for the next two Thursdays. Considering the next two tuesdays are christmas eve and new years eve I think this is the smarter plan.

edit - Also what is everyones preferred start/finish time?

I absolutely cannot start any earlier. I like the current 10-12.

If everyone likes Tues better (after the holidays) then what is the issue? No one from Kart races here and vice versa. Totally different series. When Owens started the Nurburgring thing on Monday there was no backlash.

I dunno...hoping to hear from all of our guys as the attendance of our current regulars is what keeps this thing going. Some nights it's been three of us but we love this series so much I'd like to make sure our current guys are happy before we try to please the guys who have never participated in our series. I'd be happy as a clam if we got the same 8 guys we had last Tues every night. If one of them can't go on on Thursday then it would be very disappointing.

I hear you about having a core group that loves racing each other and having fun. I think the group we have is great. And I am hopeful I will be able to be one of those numbers more often in the new year.

At this stage, either day is ok with me...but not next week since I'm heading up to Whistler for a week on Tuesday :)

As far as time goes, I like the current one of 7pm.

Hey guys. I was thinking of taking something from Kcheebs Kart series. He lets the winner of the night choose the big prize and then randomly chooses the people for the other prizes. How about if we did the same. Winner chooses PP and split. Then random selection for the qualifying track.

Let me know yea or nay.

^ I like the way we currently do it better.

Have fun Thursday, I will be out of town. I should be able to make it the following Thursday, Jan 2nd and I can race either Tuesday or Thursday most weeks.

Sorry for not responding to any of the posts. My alerts hasn't been working right.

Because of the Holidays the next two weeks, I would be OK with running on Thursday nights. Then after the new year I would like to run on Tuesday night.

I like the new series name by the way.

I like the current way we do the winner picks pp and second picks qualifying track. I do think at the beginning of the year we need to look at and change some of the tracks. The new tracks in GT6 has some great short tracks. We need more of those.

First of the year I will try to get more pics on the forum. It just has been to crazy with the holidays and such.

I would love to try and have some shenanigans. It is likely I would only be able to do that around 10:00 pm pacific

If we run Thursday night.

I would suggest you guys try. I still have the in-laws in town from the UK so I will not be able to make it:(

I can race but I may be a bit late. My band's auditioning a new bassist and as the drummer I sort of have to be there. Just let me know if you guys are planning on racing, if not I'll probably just create a room to mess around in when I get home.
