No, we just watch Blade Runner.

Also, my Dome is at 405pp (noticing racefan has his marked 397pp) :D

Lineup:

Mazda Kusabi (FF) 408pp
Ford RS200 (4WD) 438pp

Hmmm, I guess mine must not be broken in all the way or whatever. That puts me over by what, like 7? I'll replace the RX-7 to get back under the limit.

Sorry guys, honest mistake.

Edit: Diabolic, is it just me, or does your lineup only have 3 cars?

Ok guys, I'm replacing the RX-7 with the S2000 at 431 PP. That should put me at 1599 if all the calculations are correct now.

Screw it, running similar lineup from last week

408pp Kusabi
410pp RSi
376pp MGF
405pp Skyline turbo

1599pp

It's okay... I would've been driving a majorly kluged line-up. :scared: :dunce:
Note for future: Start with finding an MR car 1st.

My choices would've forced me to use the Renault 5 Turbo '80 :nervous: with the independently turning wheels!! It's like driving a hopped up motor-powered IV drip stand :scared: full of strong medication :dopey: through a hospital after the cleaner's given the floors a once-over with the janitor floor zamboni. :scared:

OTOH, I can tell you this for the spreadsheet:
Renault 5 Turbo '80
395pp
approx 5,000 miles on it

I can also tell you
Mazda RX-7 GT-LIMITED (FC, J) '85
396pp
approx 2,000 miles
Savanna 85 & the plain RX-7 '85 - are the exact same car if I'm not mistaken. Same 396pp as JLBowler's in the spreadsheet.

My line up for Monday I hope to make:

378
Toyota MR2 1600 G-Limited Super Charger '86
0miles - from OCD (99% sure of that)

360
Fiat Barchetta Giovane Due '00
165 miles OCD purchase (99% sure of that)

439
Ford RS200 '84
about 600 miles (UCD)

423
Nissan 240SX (S14) '96
low mileage*

*PENDING my pal sending me one with low mileage (already asked - and he has every single standard car)

= 1600

I swear I'm not that much of a fuss budget. It just happened that I was looking for the FR, and went down the spreadsheet & found the exact PP, and thought what the heck. It's an FR, good torque, Nissan, may as well.
Besides, I'm not all that fast a driver, so I can use every single PP I can get.
Plus, I now realize - I have a very odd garage. :odd:

If I didn't go off on the last corner of Spa and get that stupid penalty we wouldn't have this tie mumbo jumbo!

In the spreadsheet, what does the green highlight mean?
green means it is within the PP range for both Monday and Saturdays races. Since currently they are the same it is the only color. As they diverge two new colors will show up. Blue for Monday and yellow for Saturday. Hopefully it will make since.

Sorry you did not make it tonight. We ended up with a 5 way tie for first:confused::crazy: I need to figure out who won.

What a fun night. Well I think I figured out the 5 way tie.

1. racefan78 - 53 With two wins he takes the night.
2. Jobyone - 53 With a first and a third I believe that puts me second.
3. starvsnr - 53 With a first and a fourth that puts star third on his first night:) 👍
4. Diabolic - 53 With two seconds Diabolical gets fourth.
5. schmiggz - 53
6. Wolfsatz - 52
7. Chutulugoat - 45
8. koszak - 42

Thanks everyone for coming out and making it a fun evening.

5way tie is a new one to me! lol congrats to the whole lot.

PP range is going to be different on different days? Or ? Different rotating?

Any chance of a PP amount difference?
(LOL I ask because if the total was 1500 I'd have so many more cars to choose from ha ha ha)

You do like your PP low:crazy: but yea each nights PP will be able to change independently so one may be 1575 and the other may be 1625:nervous:

I feel that the 5 way tie proved the thought behind this whole idea and that is there is no real way to gain an advantage. With this many variables anyone can win... Assuming nick is not here:scared:

Awsome! I can't believe it was a five way tie, that's just insane! Thanks for putting this series together Joby, it's a lot of fun. So, what do i win? haha

Edit: Oh and Joe, I knew you were kidding, no hard feelings. I just didn't want to cheat, intentionally or not.

Not Nicktune? :nervous:

I almost beat him the other day in a 1-make. :D
I was so shocked I was able to pass him after 3 long laps chasing, that I got so confused about being ahead for so long, that I missed a brake point & he passed me back just before the end of the race. :boggled:
20130301134345_20120228toyota67targa18.jpg

(he came in 4th, me 5th (white)
Get him on a 4+miles long track with 52 corners, that he sees only 2 days before the race.
I fear it's the only way!  :scared:

I certainly wouldn't be picking Nürburgring Nordschleife as a track choice in this, if Nicktune was present! :ill:

Which also, I'm a little confused about how the track gets chosen:
Tsukuba Circuit (17 laps) or Côte d'Azur (10 laps)
Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca (11 laps) or Twin Ring Motegi (9 laps)
Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps (7 laps) or Suzuka Circuit (8 laps)
Daytona Road Course (9 laps) or Nürburgring Nordschleife (2 laps - not available for qualifying)

If the winner picks out of all these tracks all the time?
Or what does the "or" mean?
And is there a season and then the track choices change or something?

The race winner gets to pick the track for the next round. However their choices are restricted in such a way that, for example, if Motegi is picked for one of the races, then Laguna Seca cannot be used that night. And, when we get to final race, the winner from race three only has the choice between whichever 'track double' is left.

ok, my new line up

FR: Mercedes-Benz 190 E 2.5 - 16 Evolution II '91 416
MR: Lotus Elise '00 418
FF: Fiat Punto HGT Abarth '00 356
Mitsubishi 3000GT SL (J) '96 410
Total 1600

Had I not picked the Skyline for Nurb... 405pp and it was slower than cars with 15-20 less pp

What did the "turbo" in the car name actually mean? Certainly not that one was included!

----

For Monay, I'll be changing my MR car to either a Dome or Stratos and my FR car to ???
I'm certain I can find an FR can with 360-370pp thats better than the horrific skyline on one of the courses.

Oooh good. :D
I do believe that the Barchetta and Punto are built on the same frame or whatever. They sure "feel" very similar in driving to me.
I also had looked at the Punto.

So now what happens if 2 people pick the same car? That's okay right?
And obviously they wouldn't necessarily be raced in the same race, depending on the choices made by the drivers.

I often wonder that about those turbo in the name lol.

I'd looked at the Stratos... But man, I felt like I would have to choose very carefully to pick the race to use it in... should NOT like to get stuck using it on Tsukuba for instance. :ill:

Wolf Loves the Stratos. I thik he wants to be buried in one. I agree with you its a handful:yuck:

At the moment we encourage uniqueness but have not come up with a plan on how to do that fairly. Luckily with so many cars it does not seem to be a huge deal. I also think it is important that the top 3 must change at least a car from their lineup for the next race. This will likely happen anyway especially as the PP cap changes. And you are correct that even if identical cars (or twins - MR2/MRS or triplets- BRZ/FRS/GT-86) are chosen they may not even be on the track together.

We also have an unused plan I call the "Godzilla Rule" where if we see a car that has a unfair advantage at its PP level we may ban it. For instance the Ruf 3400 seems to punch way above its PP.

Hey so being that a lot of this info is Excel based I made a little calculator some of you may find handy in keeping some of this info. There may be some minor errors but it works for the most part. I will work to make it more robust, to update all you need to do is paste in the updated "Known PP" list.

https://docs.google.com/file/d/0B_QIzhnn2ZqITEtLSHh3YUNraXc/edit?usp=sharing

Download this as it uses macros, all you need to do is enter the model name and not the manufacture. Click one of the set up buttons on the side to keep a list of your favorite 3 setups.

All I can say is wow:bowdown::cheers: What are the chances you can help build this in google spreadsheets:sly:

Google Spreadsheets cannot run macros from what I remember :grumpy:, I can make a weekly update or something along those lines. With the data that you are keeping there is a lot more things I could put together to make this give more detail
