Hey guys,

Like an idiot I did not save the replays for the one race I won. I guess I was too happy. Did anyone save the replay?

I have been updating the stats sheet and noticed a few discrepencies.

Goat I put your PP at 1608
Wolf I put yours at 1604
Scmiggz while according to the known PP your total is 1599 three of those values are for cars that are Not Broken In (Nbi). There actual PP will be higher.

At this point it is no big deal since our data is not 100% accurate. What would be helpful is if the car you are going to run is not listed with a Known PP is to give us a much info as you can about your car. In particular if it is used what is the mileage (also make sure to do an engine rebuild). If the car is new please break it in or leave some room for the increased PP.

Thanks to JLBowler and a few others we have values for over 450 cars so far. Some of these will need to be refined (breakin, lower mileage version). But it is a good starting point.

That being said if everyone would take a few minutes to look through there garage and post info on 10-20 cars we do not have values on that would be a huge help.

Simply post the car name (try to give full name) - PP - mileage and confirm you have done an engine rebuild/oil change.

Thanks guys.

And don't forget to let me know if you will be racing Monday:)

I got word that the friend sent the nissan. If it's higher mileage I'll let you know any pp discrepancy. If it's not broken in, I'll run it through grand valley bspec tomorrow before racing.

I listed 6 cars here w/ info for spreadsheet

(In case that was missed)

I'm now 100% sure that the Barchetta was from the OCD:
https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/showthread.php?p=7070368&highlight=barchetta#post7070368
And I recall when we did this race a couple months later:
https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/showthread.php?p=7509361#post7509361
I realized in practicing, it wasn't gaining any HP, because it was bought from the OCD. (So it's 165 miles that I've raced/practiced with it, but it was already broken in. I also checked the oil before stating that PP.)
The MR2 is definitely from the OCD as well.
https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/showthread.php?p=6755817&highlight=1600#post6755817
Cause then we had this race with the other MR2
https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/showthread.php?t=247346
(I only have one of each MR2 in low mileage - and I remember testing both of those on the nurb at the time.)

I could give details on various low mileage broken in cars, but most pre-1990 or lower than 150hp.  (I have a running list of the cars we've raced already in the VCRC, and chances are, if I had a low mileage car, I made darn sure I was getting every possible HP before the race!)
Just pending checking my garage.

/end total geek-out... for now

Append: I downloaded that Excel macro thing...
I need a remedial tutorial please. :guilty: :( :nervous:
Does it come up with the information somehow automatically on its own??
EDIT: I think I see how it works now. :dopey:
EDIT: The reverse lookup requires an exact known PP?

Edit2: Oh, and I love the Stratos loads! (It just doesn't love me back on some tracks. :( :()

Monday Lineup

Dome Zero - 405pp
Mazda Kusabi - 408pp
Audi Quattro '82 - 405pp
Nissan Silvia Q's AERO (S14) '96 - 380pp

Total 1598pp

My Silvia has 19K miles so the max could be off.
Just let me know. I have the version from '93 that definitely fits should this not.

i will get the cars added. Basically I will not be happy till I have a proper PP for every car so bring on those low power classics:)

Since goat was nice and told me about the pitfalls with the Toyota, I will probably spend tomorrow lurking in my garage finding something better, lol

The Celica I have in my lineup (GT-four RC '91) has a rather ordinary gearbox apparently.

Is that the one you get in shuffle races?
I know there's a Celica I've gotten in shuffle that really really is rotten & does not go, it gets stuck in the corners.

i had a friend that had one in real life and it was great to drive. It is funny how GT5 sometimes gets cats wrong.

I Would like to race in the event.

My guess is that its because they were to busy working on cars. :sly:
I agree though, the Audi TT isn't right either. Nor is the crossfire. Probably because both have traction control systems that can't be fully shut off. And the crossfire has an open diff.

smasherguy1020,

Welcome on board. Please make sure to read the first post and the OLR Rules and good racecraft guides.

I have sent you a friend request from the D3 account. Once you have excepted that request you will be able to simply go to your community section and find that account. Go to the lounge and remembering it will not show if anyone is in there until you click on it. From there join the lounge and if you are the first one there just wait and others will show up. One thing to remember is that account does not need to online for you to join so do not wait for it to come online.

Have fun and I have adjusted the PP numbers based on the spreadsheet we have been compiling here. Our figures put your PP at 1595 so you are close.

I will get my line up proper and should be good to go tonight. I think I had some 0 mile cars that I assumed were OCD, but must not have been.

Have fun tonight guys. I'll be lucky to get out of work before 8pm tonight. I guess someone else will have to finish last, haha.

Dibs. ;)

OCD cars can still be broken in. They just do not benefit from the initial oil change bump.

Not true.

Take this:

Both of these cars, never driven, I just did this now:
Honda Beat '91 from the OCD @ 0miles 305pp --> 311pp after oil change
Honda Beat '91 from the UCD @ 3,460miles 305pp --> 311pp after oil change

From everything I have found OCD cars benefit from an oil change and can not be broken in. What I am not sure of is Prize/ticket cars. I believe these need to be broken in even though they also have 0 miles like the OCD cars. I am sure this makes since to Kaz:confused:

I like that you don't have to break in some cars at least. I wish I never had to break in any cars.

But as for prize tickets, in MY experience, they need to be broken in just like cars from the NCD.
I just cashed in a lvl 0 ticket. I may have a low mileage example from the UCD, so I guess I could check & compare.

In the meantime, here's some that I have checked in my garage...

Known PP list from my garage

All cars taken to GTAuto for an oil change / engine check 👍
If I don't specify UCD/OCD - it means I don't know (or it doesn't matter)

VW Kharmann Ghia Coupe - 175miles - 267pp
Ford Ka - 3,000miles - 283pp

Suzuki Wagon RR 98 - 197miles - 305pp
Nissan Cube '02 - 1,000miles - 318pp
Opel Corsa Comfort 01 - 1,000miles - 318pp

Honda S800 '66 - 300miles - 324pp
Vauxall Tigra 1.6 '99 - 1,700miles - 340pp

More to come!!!
I started at the lower end, and have been working my way up the PP scale.
Needed to run-in my Nissan for tonight, so I stopped. (Turned out to be a 0miles NOT from the OCD. Assuming jackargent got it from a car ticket.)

I could probably give you a pretty comprehensive list up to about 390pp.
Once it gets newer than 1990 & over 420pp, my garage is more sparse.
(Which explains my slightly imprudent line-up for tonight.)

My OCD FGT did not get the oild change benefit but needed the endurance race in BSpec to hit 900PP.

Could be specific to the FGT!

I've never checked an FGT.
And I wouldn't know anything about race cars from the OCD at all.
Just the road cars I've checked - they've all been pre-broken-in.
(I've almost never used any race cars other than vintage, in the game, at all.)

In my set up for tonight i will only replace the Mazda Roadster for a Mercedes SLK.
FF: Peugeot 207 GTI '07 - 397pp
FR: Mercedes SLK 230 Kompressor - 397pp
MR: Lotus Elise '96 - 413pp
AWD: Toyota Celica 2000 gt-four '86 - 387pp
total performance points: 1594

see you tonight
