CS tires were the best choice. I liked the rain. Wish we could predict or influence the surface water more. Not liking the fact that there was mystery involved.

Quick question for you all. I think the majority of people that participate in this league have a steering wheel and that all must be set on manual transmission. I think with the skill level that I've witnessed, we can assume this. My question is do you use the paddle shifters or actual stick shifter and why?

I use the paddle shifters.
1. hands on wheel at all times.
2. I know exactly what gear I'm in.

Paddles for reason 1 that Ken said....unless I get bored, then I use the sequential shifter on the straights sometimes to mix it up. On a side note, it's not carved in stone that you have to use manual, I've used autos before (usually when I'm too lazy to set up the wheel and am on the DS3 instead).

I have a G27 and when I started racing this series I quickly realized that I had to stop using the clutch and shifter and learn the paddles just to keep up. I can't use auto because I need to be able to shift when I want to and the paddles help you keep your hand positioning at 3 and 9 o'clock as well.

The DS3 can still be very fast in the right hands. I remember @Nicktune would blow us all away on the controller.

I'm the same as Tez, as I use the paddles most often/when engaged in a battle of legends, but when taking it easy or way behind/way ahead, I use the stick shift.

I have a DFGT wheel and use the paddles because the shifter is strictly sequential.

I don't use Auto because 1) I like controlling my gear selection and shift points depending on the power curve of the cars and 2) when you manually shift you can use engine braking on downshifts if you want.

Personally, I can't stand public rooms as you get people join who have no idea what we're doing and then don't want to know after explaining it and just ruin things instead

It's no problem man . What is the plan for tonight? I have a friend that really likes the idea behind SNAIL but thinks it would be far too serious where everyone is afraid to speak during a race. Tuesday showed me this group is not that way (gladly). I think a none league event could show him a taste of snail. He's an old codger that doesn't come on GTP too often which is why I'm speaking for him now .

@kendawg are you up for being our official stig/test driver? Basically I need lap times for all the tracks we are running. If you are up for the challenge just run the mystery 450pp car you used for the other lap times around the rest of the eligible tracks. No great hurry.

Some say he has an unnatural attraction to Ice
Others say his mystery 450pp car is actually the 2014 red bull

All we know is he is called Kendawg
