On Sunday, my family donated my first car, a '98 Ford Taurus, to charity. It was the car I drove all through high school, and the first three semesters of college. That generation of Taurus was known as somewhat unreliable, but seeing as how it's previous owner (My Grandma) crashed it twice, it gave me surprisingly few problems. The steering was off center, and if you let your foot off the brake in drive it would accelerate up to about 10 mph all on it's own, so I can understand why they deemed it unsafe, but damn will I miss it.

In that car's honor, I will be driving the '98 SHO Taurus (the closest I can find to it in the game) in a race tonight.

My first car was my mom's 95 Ford Taurus SE. Floor shifter and speedo didn't work. It was rear ended by a Jeep Wrangler. RIP.

@GTP_Vertigo
Your lineup features the "Racing" Toyota. That car is not allowed this week since @Kgffy picked the PP and disallowed all tuners, racers and concepts. Thought I'd let you know so you had time to change before tonight.

Hey guys. Just a heads up. I will be traveling tomorrow so may not be able to update things as much as usual. I will be back Sunday. I hope you guys have a great time tonight! If I was joining you I would definitely be driving a Focus ST 170 even if it is at the bottom of the PP range!

Was looking forward to tonight and tried different strategy saving best 2 cars for last 2 races and we did oval third race and i did not get to enjoy the car I been looking forward to drive all week, then I make pass last lap on outsider and loose position last second because car nxt to me had a buddy behind him giv him a bump, the last race battle with tez made the night worth it. My opinion oval is fun for a quailfling track at least we have time to find a car to be competive but picked middle of night it produces not close racing. Maybe I'll be in position to take advantage of oval race in future, I did have that opportunity last month but I decided I wanted a close race and knew guys who were racing cars would of had no fun

It wasn't a buddy thing. I was going to follow the car that could hold a line through a corner and take a push. Look at it this way. The only way you were in a position to lose that spot was a lag bump that separated us. Without that bump, you would have been behind me as well.

I could hold a line but I was moving around alot because I was bored, I did see that lag and felt bad, then I made nice move on outside to take 5th and then loose spot last second nothing in my power, I know that's oval racing and some ppl work better together then others

That is the luck of the track draw.

I had a high pp front wheel drive car. Figured that was my best track to do good with that car and to have a chance at the last race with a 4WD. Worked out OK for my strategy.

Next weeks PP:

Split

First race 880pp
Production cars only
(Sport Mediums)

Seond race 1000pp
Production cars only
(Sport Softs)

Total = 1880pp

I will be sending cars to the stockyard and probably buying some new cars. I assume this means the same as this week and there will be no concepts or tuners?

The track variability has always been an important aspects of this series. The winner of the previous race has a big advantage and can force everyone to have to adapt by picking a track like an oval or one that suits a car he has in his lineup. Some cars work really well on certain tracks and not others. It is all part of the challenge. And honestly it is something that I think makes this the most unique series on GTplanet.

So is a car like the Nismo 400R considrrdd production? They made 99 of them. There are bunch of tuner-ish cars like this.

Clarify production so I can choose my cars and track.

Production means they must have been for sale and street legal! If you can not find proof then consider it not a production car.

So the Nissan R390 fits the definition. It was for sale and was street legal. There was only one made and I'm not sure it ever sold though.

Testing:
FF - Honda Integra Type R DC5 '03 428pp
4WD - Audi TTS '09 450pp
FR - Chevy Corvette Z06 '00 511pp
MR - Lotus Esprit V8 '02 489pp

Sorry, I was going to pick everything today but I had the "production" dilemma so I have to wait until tomorrow morning before I get on the PS3 again to check cars and tracks.

Just on the surface this is going to be one of the hardest weeks to pick cars for me :)
