My line up tonight:
FF: VW Golf IV GTI RM '01 PP417
4WD: Alfa Romeo Brere Sky Window 3.2 JTS Q4 '06 PP411
FR: Scion FR-S '12 PP413
MR: NSX '91 PP437

So is the format to start on Special / Reverse, then a track from A, B, and C?

So this stage could poss be run twice, or the choice in that category excludes the opening course?

I am def swapping to the Z4 (423), the 190 was too tail happy for me.

Correct. The qualifying track can be any track but since this is the first time we have done this it might have bee a bit confusing. But having said that running the track twice could be interesting.

Max PP tonight is 484, no? On page 1...
Also Correct. You can not run a car with a PP over 484. The total PP for your 4 cars can not excede 1685.

Do you have access to the D3 lounge? If not we will need to fire off a PM to Zero and Kcheeb as I will to be home in time to get one sent.

p.s. Most people hate the Alfa;) An Audi S3 at 412PP will run circles around it.

Amuse Nismo 380RS Super Leggera

FR
111miles
Oil changed
550pp
Thanks for the additional PP's. I think your Amuse may be tuned. Pretty sure its 522 PP fully broken in.

Also unless the car has over 186 miles (300 KM) it will not be fully broken in.

Also I have input the lineups that nave been posted in the new Monday Sign Up page of the spreadsheet. There are a few PP discrepancies. When in doubt the higher value will count unless it is shown to be an error. Lets all start to try to use this sheet. Feedback is welcome and feel free to change your lineup or add one if you are not on the list.

edit- Triple post :nervous::gtpflag:

I race in D3 on sundays. But thanks for asking.

I see how it works now. I think I may need to change the qualifying track for Saturday Joby.
We can leave it if it is too late or I would change it to Autumn Ring.

Thanks
I will update the details

So we are running at 8pm PST/11PM EST?
Yep still 8pm PST/11PM EST. sorry serious brain fart. The race is 10PM EST/7PM PST

And with that we hit post 1000:)

That's a little too late for me. I usually get four hrs sleep before work, but three is cutting it too close. I'll try for Saturday's race instead. Have fun racing tonight guys.

And my Bob just finished the 300km race with:

VW Golf VI R '10
182 miles
Oil changed
435pp
4WD
Actually that time is all wrong. 10PM EST/ 7PM PST as usual. I hope that is not to late for you to make it

Did you do an engine rebuild?

Nope, not going down for several hours.

I left during race 2 - I am not up to the level of these guys.

Great concept, but, I'm not good enough to see other cars. My goal was to not get lapped (win..?), so that's not exactly a win for me. I really, really, wish I was better at this.

I think you are right on this one. I think I hit 440 instead of 430. I will update the p.p. to your 435

Give it another try Handle. There are definitely races that you will be in the back all alone. But there can also be times when you are ahead of the fast guys and they can not get buy you and you car and that feels really good. Even if you do have a 20-30pp advantage;)

The question, I think, was on using the engine limiter to drop PP.

I recall seeing that you cannot do that, page 1 or thereabouts.

DrGreen, it is right under the Wildcard track info. No engine limiter.

Well I'm definitely in for Saturday, 1720 sounds like fun. Joby, I tried the engine rebuild and it said I didn't need one so it stands at 435pp for the VW Golf VI R.

This series is all about strategy so don't get down on yourself. I finished last in every series I ran until last week. The fast drivers can make up for picking poor cars at tough tracks but for us slow drivers, strategy is key. Use the spreadsheet to your advantage; compare your lap times to cars with similar pp. Try out different cars at different tracks. See where your strengths are and play to them. For example, one strategy I used the past few races is to pick one car at the low level of the pp limit, usually the '86 MR2 at 359pp. I figured I was going to finish last at least once, so why not do it on purpose and make up for it with 3 better cars?

Joby, are you still considering the bonus pts for car choices or is that out the window?

You are right about the R 10.

The bonus points are not out the window but I just need someone to list all the cars each person actually uses on the spreadsheet. Once I am back on GT (hopefully in 3-4 weeks) I should be able to start doing that again. Until then would you like to volunteer:idea: ;)

Laps need to be checked.

Laguna was 12 laps last night.
Clubman reverse would be good at 18.
High speed ring was good at 15.
I forget what we set at Deep forest but it was a couple laps short.

I should make this Saturday as well.

This event will run with a combined PP cap of:
1720
All cars PP must be between 366 and 495

Qualifying and the first race will take place at

Autumn Ring

For those of you that have not tried this before it is not to late to choose some cars and show up. To help you out here is a list of Premium cars you could run.

Honda CIVIC TYPE R '08 - 414
Audi TT Coupe 3.2 quattro '07 - 436
Honda S2000 '06 - 431
Renault Sport Clio Renault Sport V6 24V '00 - 434

There is also a new page on the spread sheet to help you choose your car lineup. The page is here and you just need to choose your 4 cars and it will calculate your total PP. Thanks to Starvsnr for providing the spreadsheet Fu for making this possible. It is still a work in progress but give it a try.

Have fun guys, gals and cyborgs.

Can anyone explain to me how the randomized tarmac track will be used. Should we anticipate running blind for the added challenge or will we be allowed a lap preview? It might affect how/whether the track is chosen.
