The dirt and snow racing is fun in its own way. When you have the right car. Cap racing is set up for street racing. Strategizing the right car for the right track. The offroad tracks create a totally different stratagy that doesn't fit your format. It will make everyone use their 4WD car till the offroad course. This means you have a 3 race format with a offroad race. I don't think this is what we are looking for. 4 tracks picking any of the four drivetrain cars is what you practice for on picking your lineup.

Having a cap race with one track being snow, dirt, weather change & a random track could work, BUT for a different night.

With that being my opionion:

I will vote no more offroad tracks.

I'm bitter. I didnt have a shot today with the lineup I threw together 3 minutes before the start, but not being able to use one car was a bummer.

In case anyone didnt see it...I'd avoid the Legacy B4 POSpecial if at all possible. Trust me.

That car was fast in a straight line. When I was behind you, you would pull on me. But I saw that you couldn't get the thing to stop and turn. I will have to say thanks for using it for I thought about using that same car. Now I know what it will do.

You can't use dirt for qualifying because the qualifying track is the first race of the night as well.

Not a fan of the dirt last night. Please discontinue this experiment ;)

Btw...what is the PP for Monday and qualifying track?

Looks like the writing is on the wall

So far we have:
Fzappa:tdown:
Wolfsatz
JoeW/Ice-Warden:tdown:
Kendawg:tdown:
Koszak:tdown:
Chatva
Starvsnr:tdown:
Schmiggz
Diabolicwyvern
Goat

I imagine the dirt track is not going to survive but if you raced last night please place your vote as I would like a majority vote.

Also two questions about last night. Kodak/88GTA has no result for the 4th race. Did he start/finish?

Also what was the track order?

For me, this competition has been a constant car try out and, unfortunately, i had some really bad choices in the past and the Alfa Romeo GTV is the first crapy vehicle that comes to my mind. The Skyline Type S is another avoidable choice.
Yeah, all you do is get rid of those bad choices and keep trying new things.

Frank (Zappa), don't feel too bad about it. It was an experiment that wasn't fully appreciated but nothing more than that. I had some fun going down that hill and after lap 3 i managed to make the whole section without crashing my poor ff Honda Civic and still had a bonus of a 2 lap battle with star.

Official Announcement

Even though the voting is not complete it does appear that the 👎 will outnumber the 👍 for the Dirt Track.

So the Dirt Tracks will no longer be an option for the Wildcard tracks.

I am also going to suggest (unless there is a lot of protest) that the snow/ice tracks should aslo be removed. I think Kendawg nailed it here

So with that I will update the post. And moving forward Performance Cap Racing is a Tarmac only event.

Have fun tonight.

edit - Does anyone remember how many laps were run on each track Saturday?

OK, I am trying the Min-Max numbers, just for 'what-ifs'

MR2 1600 G '86 - 359 PP - MR
307 XSi '04 -363 PP - FF
Lancer Evolution VII RS '01 - 479 PP - 4WD
Roadster TC - 484 PP - FR

A few notes about the results from Saturday.

1. I have applied a penalty for anyone that was over the 1720 PP limit based on our Known PP spreadsheet. For each PP over the limit the driver is docked 1 point. If you want to question the PP on the spreadsheet please let me know. I must stress that at this point it is important that you use the values from the list. If nothing is listed then please state your cars PP and we will add it to the list. We will continue to refine the list as information is provided.

2. Thanks to having the complete lineup provided (thanks to Koszak:tup: ) there were three people who received a Challenge Bonus:tup:

So the overall winner is Kendawg:bowdown: You can choose either the qualifying track or a new PP. The PP can be between 1400-2000 but should be at least 100 away from 1720.

Second place is currently unofficial while we sort out some PP desrepencies - You will be able to choose either the PP or Track depending on Kendawgs choice.

The Overall results for the 4/20/13 1720 PP Performance Cap Race

The track order was
1. Autumn Ring
2. Deep Forest
3. Monza with Chicanes
4. Eiger Nord Dirt

1. Kendawg - 55 [-0 (+1 for 4 cars same decade) (-1 for 1721 PP)]
2. Starvsnr - 54
3. Schmiggz - 51 [-1 (+1 for 4 cars same decade) (-2 for 1722 PP)]
4. JoeW/Ice-Warden - 50 [-4 (-4 for 1724 PP)]
5. Koszak - 45 [+1 (+1 for 4 cars same decade)]
6. Diabolicwyvern - 39*
7. tcrash15 - 37 [-10 (-10 for 1730 PP)]
8. Wolfsatz - 31*
9. Goat - 28*

*suffered discos or did not race in all races.
